Only giving this place a 1 star because I felt bad for those poor servers! After being seated, still waited over 30 minutes on food! It was just me & my 3 yo grandson! One adult meal and a child's plate takes over 30 minutes! Nothing but tables full of irritated customers with hungry bellies sitting in there. Everyone was complaining. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else or cook at home! The food wasn't great either! That made it worse. Pancakes were undercooked and the scrambled eggs weren't even real eggs! Another Broken Egg will never break an egg for me again. Took over an hour for our food to come out and it came out cold.

It was just okay for me. Not special and food was just lukewarm. Server wasn't very attentive and didn't seem super happy to be at work. The meals were slightly overpriced for what you got in my opinion. Kids meals were a good deal since it included a drink but adult meals were less than fantastic. Broken is definitely correct in this name. A 20 minute wait to be seated, which is fairly reasonable for the size and interest (but people after us waiting almost an hour). I have currently been seated for an hour and have only gotten our beignets and coffee (which we had to grab another server to get). Food finally showed up, it was ok (definitely not worth an hour long wait). My wife had to get the syrup from the hostess station and we are still waiting on butter for our english muffins. Oh and the table next to us had sour whipped cream on their hot chocolate. The potatoes are a waste of money. At this point we have missed church (seated before 10:00, finally left at 11:20), which really irks me (I get we were taking a risk and cutting it close, but ... wow). They are moving a bunch of take out orders, which is probably why the kitchen is slow. If you want the food that might be your best bet. I feel bad for the servers who are loosing tips because they can't turn tables, and not to mention people like me who believe tip amount reflects service (there is no minimum tip amount). If they can't handle the volume of takeout and seated tables they should probably pick one. Don't go here, let this restaurant let it die on the vine. It's a good facility so maybe someone local can get it on the cheap and do better. read more

Restaurant is very clean, staff are very attentive and efficient. They remove plates, cups etc as you're done with them which provides room on the table if needed. The shrimp and grits are excellent, the baked bacon isn't thick cut but also isn't that thin fatty bacon you get at most breakfast places. The sausage patties are done by hand and have a good texture (not overworked) and taste. A much needed and great addition to the Lexington breakfast space! read more

Not impressed. Coffee tasted different than other area restaurants, served with fake cream. Spouse ordered 2 scrambled eggs with grits, chicken sausage and English muffin. Received only 1 egg, English muffin was barely toasted. Spouse stated only good thing was the grits. No chicken sausage as they ran out. Not impressed with Rum Cake French Toast. Enjoyed brunch! My Apple strudel French toast with bourbon creme was amazing! It came with eggs and bacon. A lot of food! My uncle enjoyed his huevos rancheros and tasty black beans. While portion sizes were large, everything on the menu is pricey! Basically $15 each at least with no drink. Server friendly and attentive and a great patio to eat on! We were told the wait was 5 minutes to sit outside. Had to remind them twice before we were sat 20 minutes later. Then our drinks took forever until we reminded them that we had no drinks yet. 50 minutes after placing our order, our food had still not arrived. Customer service was very poor as well. Finally, we walked out after sitting in the sun with no food for an hour. Several people that showed up after us, ate, paid their bill and left. Very disappointed with our entire experience. Made for a ruined Mother's Day... We checked in online at 9:15am and weren't seated until 12:00 (for a 2 top) after pointing out that our table was being used for door dash drivers to sit. Got our food at 1:15 and after all of that it was wrong and cold. Too little too late on the managers part, I don't want a gift card to a place I won't be returning to... We did the online waitlist which was very nice. When we got there, we checked in and told it would be about 10 minutes. We were seated 5 minutes later. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good and served warm. We had the ultimate omelette, crab cakes benedict, and cinnamon roll French toast. The green onion on the benedict was overpowering. The French toast was awesome and the omelette was outstanding! It would be nice to offer fresh half-n-half for coffee. This was a great first dining experience for us at ABE and we will be back! read more

Wait time is always way off when we come. We always put our name on the list prior to leaving and waiting in the lobby. Wait times online typically say 15-25 minutes. We arrived closer to the 25 minute range and were told only another 15 minutes only to wait for an hour in total. There is not much waiting space or room to stand in the lobby area. I have been to this location twice now. I had great service the first time but very slow food service. I enjoyed being with my friends. I was there with family today. It was busy - no problem...waited for 40 minutes and we knew that was time frame (hostess very nice). We were seated and from there things were not good. Waitress was very slow, didn't write anything down and forgot many things. Got our drinks but not all as should be (no whip cream or coffee creams- did get coffee creams but never whip cream). So she offered another hot chocolate but then charged us for 2. Our meals came a very long time later and never got the butter for the grits after asking 2 times and our food was not served hot. I would say the service and food needs attention. Would love to go back- atmosphere great- but price is high and quality of service and food not there yet. read more

Joined the waiting list and was told 30 minutes. Over an hour later wait list said 80 more minutes and hostess had said 20 more minutes twice.
