We wanted to go to Cracker Barrel since we haven't been to one in a while we decided to check this one out. They have a very big parking lot so parking is not a problem at the time at least when we got there which was about 5:00 on a Saturday there's plenty of spots available. When going inside you enter there Country Store with lots of awesome things if you choose to purchase we decided to look at the items. Everything was very well placed and neat. We then walk through to the restaurant spot to have dinner. The hostess was very pleasant and friendly to us. There was no wait our waiter was also very attentive he said he's only been there for 2 weeks but with only having two weeks he was spot on with things. The place was also very well clean and taken care of. We decided to have breakfast for dinner. They have a menu that you can purchase breakfast anytime many different selections with options to choose from. But if you desire you could have a regular dinner or a sandwich. I decided to have a dish called Mama's pancakes I believe that what's it's called. It had three pancakes two eggs and a choice of bacon two pieces or two pieces of sausage. It was very delicious also they had an option that you can choose if you desire of sugar-free syrup which is what I picked. They also serve hot rolls or cornbread or if you want both they can do that as well complimentary. They have a Rewards program that you can earn points for money off your meal or even free appetizers or meals. I also decided to have the peach cobbler for dessert. Which was the worst peach cobbler I ever had but I cannot blame the waiter apparently there was a problem in the kitchen with things from the kitchen help and they apparently do not know what they're doing with this item besides that everything was very good and delicious.

    Easter Feast.

We ate the traditional Easter Feast. Ham,Turkey, mashed potatoes n gravy, stuffing, green beans, cranberry and Pecan pie ala mode. The atmosphere was family oriented and friendly. The waitress was very attentive and polite. The manager stopped by to see if we were happy. The food was perfect and plentiful. We are glad we decided to eat there.

This is usually my go-to breakfast place and I've never had a bad experience, however this morning was awful. The biscuits were burnt, it took over 45 minutes after the time we were quoted for pickup for the food to be ready, and to top it off: when we got it home and I was eating my scrambled eggs, I pulled several large pieces of egg shell out of my mouth, making them inedible I know it's Mother's Day and the restaurant was busy, but the food quality shouldn't suffer because of it.

Seasoned rice - the brown pieces are hard like they have never been cooked

We use to order from this restaurant all the time sadly the service has gotten so bad. If you call no one will answer the phone it just rings and rings. If you order online for pickup or curbside the order is always wrong and/or missing some of the order. I'm so tired of having to explain what is wrong and they (management) does not want to correct it or give me my money back for what I did not receive. I hope they realize that this is stealing when you don't get the items that you paid for. Now to the food - I ordered seasoned rice on one of the meals and it was so hard and brown that you could tell it had been sitting there all day. Is there no one there that is over seeing this food? I know that dhec requires food to be thrown away after a certain time but it was obvious that the rice was definitely overlooked. It was so bad that the rice was in precooked form then cooked form and then after sitting for hours went back to precooked form. Then we have the missing vegetables and some out of stock as written on the receipt but no one let me know when picking it up that I needed to pick another vegetable. And then a 20% tip is requested. Really? If you want a tip then my to go order needs to be correct.

My family and I like this Cracker Barrel location. The service is sometimes iffy, although I know it's a tough place to staff, but it's never been downright horrible. The food is always hot, delicious, and cooked properly (nobody ever seems to get my over-medium eggs right!). I like the homey atmosphere here. It's very comfortable.

I kicked things off with the Honey Caramel Crunch Iced Coffee and it was creamy, perfectly sweet, and the ideal start to brunch. For my meal, I ordered the Market Hash with over-medium eggs on top of fresh, seasoned potatoes, cremini mushrooms, zucchini, shallots, red peppers, baby spinach, melted mozzarella, and herbed goat cheese. Every bite was savory, comforting, and absolutely delicious. My husband went with the Roast Beef & Havarti Sandwich, and that combo does not disappoint. The lemony dressing on the arugula paired so well with the horseradish sauce, and I couldn't get enough of that Parmesan-crusted bread. And don't leave without ordering the Million Dollar Bacon--the perfect sweet, salty, and spicy bite that truly lives up to the hype. PSA/spoiler: long-winded but wholesome ending My boyfriend…read moreand I have eaten here a handful of times previously, and we went in for brunch again yesterday. (side note: for context, we both have years of experience working in the food service industry & are very patient/understanding, sometimes at our own detriment, bc we know how unpredictable working in restaurants can be.) The restaurant was moderately busy, but there were a few open tables. Two ladies were already waiting to be seated at the hostess stand, and although the hostess was physically present, she didn't greet us when we walked in, nor was she talking to the 2 women waiting in front of us. I'm not sure if she was in her own world or having an off day but she didn't acknowledge us at all and avoided speaking to/making eye contact with all of us at the front door for 5-10 minutes. I wasn't sure if she'd already spoken to the ladies beforehand, and maybe that's why she didn't feel the need to say anything to my bf and i but it was insanely awkward, to say the least. However, after she wiped a table down and we were seated, not a big deal by any means. Our waitress got our drinks, took our order, and brought our food out very quickly. Both my bf and I ordered the crab benedict biscuit - his came out perfectly and was delicious! The only issue with mine was that the egg yolk looked like it'd come from a boiled egg and had the consistency of a piece of sidewalk chalk. As someone who usually orders eggs sunny side up or over-easy, my bf and I both knew I was either going to waste the entire meal or have to ask for a new egg (and I hate asking for things bc I feel like it's an inconvenience). We eventually settled on asking for a new egg bc I hadn't eaten anything all day and was pretty hungry. I started looking around the restaurant to see if I could see our waitress. I saw her but she didn't see me and I didn't want to bug her. It was actually the owner/GM Danielle who saw me scanning the restaurant and came over almost immediately asking if I needed something. I explained the minor problem and apologized for being a pain and when I say she couldn't have been more kind, helpful, and absolutely hilarious, I mean it from the bottom of my heart! Danielle ended up getting me a crab benedict biscuit to-go (we had plans & were on a time crunch), talked to the kitchen to see what happened since both mine and my bf's were made together, chatted with us for a bit, and comped our bill. I continued to apologize, thank her for her help, and told her it really wasn't necessary to comp anything bc it wasn't a big deal at all and she'd resolved the issue but she insisted. Needless to say, we will 1000% be going back thanks to Danielle! Loved getting to talk with and meet a genuinely kind-hearted person/new(er) small business owner in Chapin. They were a little undercooked as well, being soft without the crisp outside. The corrected order, another Fox burger, was better. The veggies were fresh and the meat was hot on this burger but still had little taste. The fries were warm at best but were cooked properly with a crisp outside. The onion rings were fresh and hot. The restaurant was about half full and there was plenty of staff but no one checked on us throughout the meal. There was no explanation regarding the incorrect order. There was a lively discussion regarding some relationship one of the servers was having which provided the show accompanying the meal, but it seemed to distract the staff.
