The weather was a beautiful 70 degrees, and we were lucky enough to get a table with a great view of the beach and sunshine. We ordered the fish tacos and the grouper bites. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was piping hot. The fish tacos had a generous piece of fish on each taco, grilled perfectly. My friend ordered the grouper bites and OMG -- they were lightly battered, cooked just right, and you get so many! Definitely a must-have. Now for the service. Our waitress started off strong by promptly taking our order, but unfortunately it went downhill from there. Once we received our food, she never stopped back to check on us or offer drink refills. There was only one bartender and the place was packed. He appeared overwhelmed, especially with beachgoers walking up to the bar while also trying to keep up with drink orders from the waitstaff. It didn't seem like the servers had assigned sections, as tables appeared to be seated in rotation. Toward the end of our meal, we noticed not only ourselves but other diners trying to get their waitress's attention, which was difficult. Overall, I'd give the food 5 stars and the service 2 stars. I understand it's a beach atmosphere, but with spring break starting, the service really needs to step up its game.

A great spot for breakfast/brunch. A very unique menu plus all of the traditional choices. The pancakes were the best we have ever had and are comparable to the pancakes we had at the world famous Pancakes on the Rock in Sydney, Australia. The manager Miro is the best. He is very welcoming and has a great personality. Eventhough he is very busy he takes the time to chat and make his customers feel special. His staff follow his lead and are friendly, efficient and professional. Me and my better half decided to visit Destin, Florida for a nice getaway. We looked around and noticed Another Broken Egg Cafe was close so we started to make our way there. The manager Joshua Smith was considerate and went above and beyond the call of duty with giving me and my wife a table Saturday morning when the restaurant was packed. My girlfriends and I visited this restaurant on our spring break trip. We were visiting from Chicago. There was about 15 of us and they got us a huge table within 20 minutes. Our server natalie was amazing!! She was so on top of everything, had such a positive attitude and knew everyone's orders. She was fantastic and we loved her so much! I live in Pensacola and love the Egg on Gregory. We visited some friends in Destin...we located our favorite breakfast restaurant on Grand Blvd. Same great service, lobster omelet as decadent as always but was so surprised that the potatoes were different then the ones we get in Pensacola? One of the best places I have ever eaten. The food is fresh. First time visit and they gave us complimentary beignets that were fresh and very tasty. Rather than offering any flexibility or apologizing, she spoke to us in a condescending way, saying that if we wanted breakfast, we needed to be there before 10:30. It wasn't the breakfast cutoff that bothered us--it was the way we were treated. Customer service makes a big difference, and we left feeling like we were an inconvenience instead of paying customers. The restaurant is obviously popular, so the food may be great. I can only speak to our experience, and unfortunately, based on the way we were treated during both visits, we won't be returning.
