    Mudslide

Delicious mudslide on the beach. Wouldn't change a thing. We ordered to-go so I can't say much for the ambiance - but the location is incredibly convenient with being right on the beach! Service was quick and our large order had zero mistakes!

The place was really nice. It had bar seating, regular tables and an area the fence to sit and eat. I had the Fried Gulf shrimp with fries, hush puppies and coleslaw. The whole plate was so good. I usually don't like hush puppies but there's were really good. I also had the Pina Colda which was good also. The service was really good as well, checked up on me a good amount of times and was really nice. The only thing about the area was there were a lot of tiny bugs that were jumping on me. But that was probably cause I was sitting near the outside part by the plants. Otherwise this place was great!

The Beach House in Destin is what happens when good food, good vibes, and the Gulf of Mexico all decide to collaborate on something magical. We rolled in 11 deep, ranging in age from 10 months to 75 years, and somehow everyone left happy, fed, and not arguing -- a miracle in itself. Let's start with the setting: live music, sand in your flip-flops, and a sunset that makes you question why you ever vacation anywhere else. It's casual in the "we're at the beach, let's not overthink this" way -- and it works. Now, the food. I had the fried shrimp: crispy, golden, and clearly made by someone who understands that shrimp deserves respect. The portions were generous enough to make me wonder if I accidentally ordered two meals. (I did not, but I could've and wouldn't have regretted it.) Others in the group went for fish tacos and various seafood-adjacent plates. I didn't take notes because I was busy with my own crustacean situation, but I can confirm every plate was met with approving nods and suspiciously fast disappearing food. Hush puppies? Fine. Just fine. Not the star of the show, but they showed up and did their job. Service was top-notch -- efficient, friendly, and completely unfazed by the logistical chaos of serving a table that spanned four generations. Overall, The Beach House is exactly what you want from a beachfront restaurant: tasty food, laid-back atmosphere, and the kind of place where you're tempted to linger long after the check arrives. Highly recommend. Bring friends. Bring family. Maybe skip the hush puppies.

I mean this place is seriously amazing, the food has gotten so delicious! They added smoked brisket to the menu in addition to ribs and smoked chicken. They also added really good calamari too. For the prices the portion sizing is well worth it, and you can expect live music and a gorgeous sunset.

Ou This place has easily become our absolute favorite spot at the resort--both as a restaurant and a bar. It's the perfect rendezvous point whenever our local friends come to visit. The food is consistently delicious, the cocktails hit the spot, and on the nights with live music, the vibe is unbeatable. Nothing beats grabbing a table on the outdoor patio or a seat at the bar and soaking in those jaw-dropping views. We never miss a chance to come here!

I had some amazing fish tacos. Food portions are large so I encourage sharing. Right on the beach and off the Sandestin shuttle. Service was great. Saw a 3.5% convenience charge - FYI Meal is missing the beans, a taco, and tasty mango salsa in the picture because I forgot to take the picture first.

Good for live music and the ocean views. Not so great for the food The shrimp tacos were good but everything else was something NOT to be desired. I'm not sure how you a mess up chips and dips- but it happened Stale tortilla chips, and subpar tasteless dips. Oh, and dried out, over-cooked chicken tenders. Thank goodness the musician was really good and the oceans views and proximity to the beach were awesome If this place improves their food quality and preparation, it will greatly improve the overall dining rating. I'd eliminate some things from the menu and focus on what your cooking staff can prepare well. Higher quality and fresh ingredients are non-negotiable. I'd expect more from this place since it's on property at the Sandestin Golf & Tennis Resort.

It's in a gated hotel community. The QR code parking asked for $21 half day! We were o ly going to be there an hour so we didn't sing up with the QR code. Entry door was hard to find we walked around the building on outdoor decks. Service was slow. Salad was huge & very good with the peppered blue cheese dressing. Views of the water are great, but we had to sit indoors due to the cold. After we left we noticed an additional charge of $15, I guess it was for parking. We be going back

Coming to this location for the first time proved that streak still continues. The LUMP BLUE CRAB BISQUE - Sherry, Cream, Crushed Herb Croutons to start was fabulous. The MACADAMIA-NUT-CRUSTED SNAPPER - Hawaiian Red Sea Salt, Almond Rice, Grilled Asparagus, Wasabi Soy Beurre Blanc was just as good. Yes, something I usually pass on entirely, dessert, the key lime pie was great too. The only disappointment was the piña colada I ordered. The "bar" is set high on this one by the Marlin Bar in Orlando so I'll give them a pass. Service was very attentive and the place itself is brand new. I wish the developer would have made more parking closer to the buildings. In the off season it was nuts, coming here during peak season is going to be a challenge. One aspect they truly excel at is the live entertainment. The music is just right--loud enough for the audience to sing "Sweet Caroline," yet soft enough to allow for casual conversations at the table.

My family and I have been coming to Tommy Bahama's every…read moreyear while on vacation, and it has always been one of the places we make a point to visit multiple times during our trip. We are typically there at least three out of the seven days we stay in town. Unfortunately, after our experience on Mother's Day, we do not plan on returning. We arrived around 4:30 p.m. with a party of nine, hoping to enjoy some of the happy hour menu and pricing. We were kept waiting in the front until exactly 5:00 p.m., even though it was obvious that tables on the back deck were already available. Once seated, our server was polite and did a good job taking care of us. During conversation, we mentioned the long wait, and he explained that it is apparently "protocol" to delay seating larger parties until after 5:00 so they do not receive happy hour pricing. If that is truly company policy, I find it extremely disappointing and dishonest. We felt manipulated instead of welcomed. The food quality was also far below what we have experienced in past years. The crusted snapper that was recommended to us was terrible and had to be sent back. My grandson's burger was also very poor quality and honestly unpleasant. The only dishes our table generally agreed were decent were the squash casserole bowl and the chicken parmesan. Another disappointment was learning that bread is no longer served. For families with children, that was always something simple that helped while waiting on meals. Between the removal of those small touches, the higher prices, and the noticeable decline in food quality, the restaurant no longer feels worth returning to. I'm not writing this to get anyone in trouble. I'm writing because this restaurant used to be one of the highlights of our vacation every year, and it is frustrating to see the experience decline this much. Chris Tomlinson

I heard they were known for their crab cakes, but I wasn't a huge fan. My blackened grouper was absolutely delicious. The seasoning wasn't over powering and the fish was cooked to perfection. The salad was my favorite part crazy enough. It was a tomato basil vinaigrette that was out of this world with flavor. It had a sweet base to it that brought out the basil flavor that made us all guess what the ingredients were. What I really enjoyed about this place was that the owner was walking around all night checking on the tables and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves and that the food was perfection. Great dinner spot and really cool vibe with all the red lights and fun paintings everywhere.
