Manager making a very occasional appearance and then hiding in the back and not trying to help staff. English muffin brought with obvious two bites and a bit burned as it was reheated. Muffin was replaced as soon as we asked. Potatoes were reheated again too. At the end bathroom full of port of toilet paper and trash can that was full of pater towels. We been to Oviedo location many times and it was so much more pleasant, staff is trying, working as a team, management cares, and not afraid to face upset/not happy customers. Update- management reached out and promised to improve. I am looking for a few good reviews and then consider coming back. read more

Asked for a side of ranch for the potato fries... and I think the lady went to another country to get it or something because never got it. Ordered beignets, i got the check instead and no beignets. What we ordered, BOTH OUR FOODS were DRRRRRRRRRRRY like a seriously hot summers day. Service was great with a quaint atmosphere. Surprised that the room was not filled with Karens', but with a diverse crowd setting the tone for a great day. I missed breakfast while out of town and decided to grab a late breakfast near my location. The menu offered several options for everyone such as specialty omelets and French toast, but I focused on the biscuits and gravy. I was pretty amazed to see that they hand packed the sausage patties, as they stole the show for me. The sausage gravy was good but had a seasoning that threw me off a bit. The eggs must have been neglected as I ordered OM and received OH instead. I chose grits over hash browns and ate what I could. The server explained that I could have them mixed with bacon drippings, bacon and cheddar if I wanted. I passed and went with the butter and sugar instead. I would return again. read more

We've been fans of ABE for a long time. We were excited to see a location open closer to home for us. Today we had Taylor as our server, and she did a great job. Taylor was very attentive friendly, and conversive. We always want start with the biscuit beignets. I've eaten in Broken egg in Oviedo and now in Orlando and I find myself needing to rate them due to the horrible service and bad food in both. It seems as if none of the staff have ever heard of customer service. Today we stood at the front door for almost 5 minutes and staff was nowhere around. There were a couple of families already seated so we figured they're all busy helping get the food together. When we were finally seated we waited another 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we existed. The girl took our drink order and rushed off before we were done talking to her. Several minutes later waiting again we noticed that staff had not even taken the order of the other families yet. I have no idea how these guys stay in business. **Be careful ordering online*** Three stars for the food. The cinnamon roll French toast is yummy and the Godiva pancakes were ok -- all the chocolate was in the center and I never got the Godiva chocolate sauce or chocolate cream cheese mentioned with my order so can't speak to that I got plain chocolate chip pancakes. Not even the strawberry was included ... so much for the special. They also forgot to add the cheese to my eggs (which is an up charge) as well but those aren't dealbreakers for me and I would still go back and try again. I took two stars off after the customer service I received from the manager. The food was good and I like this chain as a whole but had to be microwaved as it was completely cold by the time we got it home due to the order going to the wrong location. They also didn't complete my order correctly, but not worth having to drive all the way back to address this. We placed an order for a different location and later learned our order went to this location after some time. I placed the order close to where my husband was so he could just pick it up after his appointment but I guess the location switched when I got kicked out during the process. He waited and waited and finally went in to see where the order was and they said they didn't have any order for him. You MUST order online so if there is a change or an issue you are supposed to call the cafe. The number does NOT work. My husband had to drive over 25 mins to get to the correct location since the food was paid for. When he arrived he explained to the girl grabbing his food this was the wrong location and that he couldn't reach anyone and she said 'yeah our phones don't work'. Interesting that they don't try to contact us when it was 30 mins since the food was ready and we hadn't picked it up. We could not call to explain the situation or even ask if they can hold the order in the kitchen to stay warm or even cancel it since the other location was willing to make it so we didn't have to eat cold food. No one had a working number or email and so I had to call corporate to reach someone. A day later I get a call before 8am from someone arguing with another person in the background. He stated he was calling from Another Broken Egg and said you wanted to speak with someone and just sat there .... from the beginning Brian, the "general manager", had an attitude and was defensive and rude the entire time and appeared to be annoyed that I had made a complaint and was expressing my opinion that it seemed counterproductive to have a non working phone line for 4 months when (what the other location reported) this is the only way to contact the cafe and customers have no way to communicate with the cafe. He explained he was sending emails to someone once a week about the issue which he clarified was not in fact 4 months but more like 8 months since they opened. I asked why an alternative number like a cell phone hadn't been an interim solution until they fixed the issue because the website doesn't even state this is an issue which just adds to the frustration. He made some haphazard comment about agreeing the website should state the number doesn't work and then said my money was refunded as if he no longer wanted my business and needed to call me back as an obligation from corporate. No apology. No attempt at any compassion. I have never heard of phones not working so long and a business not wanting to have an alternative solution since they first open. Unprofessional and glad I don't frequent this location. read more

I have been to your location in Daytona, another friend lives in a condo almost across the street. Our experience this morning could not have been better! Food was great and our server Claire was FABULOUS!!!!! We wanted to compliment her to management before we left but it was very busy and as managers ourselves we did not want to pull them away from what they were doing. So, my wife and I are ALWAYS on the lookout for new breakfast spots. The brunchier, the better! We had heard through a local FB group that ABEC was coming to our neck of the woods, and were excited to try it. We have had takeout, and dine in, in order to get the full experience. Unfortunately however, this place just misses the mark for me. Of course, everything inside looks very nice, and has the aesthetic of higher end spot. Prices are reflective of this, and the menu also makes you think that you are in for some tasty goodness. The proof being in the proverbial pudding; the food is just not that great. :-( Having ordered a couple Benedicts, a waffle, a pancake, and various breakfast meats, I can honestly say that I could be eating the equivalent of a budget Publix shopping trip. Nothing appears to made from scratch, or even made with the care expected at this price point. I really wanted this place to shine, and have a closer option than some of the other brunch gems in town, but I cannot say that I will return. read more

Kiani provided great service! I am not typically one to write reviews but as a waitress myself, I know they are greatly appreciated and I feel one is due here. Upon greeting my sister and I, she asked if we had been here before to which we responded, "no". She asked if we had any questions or wanted recommendations. We ordered the biscuit beignets. She was so kind to take them off our bill simply because it was our first visit. They were soooo good, I wouldn't have even minded paying for them. Our brunch came out in great time and everything was hot and fresh. Their biscuits are so fluffy and buttery. And the price was on point. We paid $35 for two very filling entrees and a cold brew coffee, which was also very good btw. We will definitely be back. I think I have a new favorite Brunch spot!!! This place was amazing! Extensive menu with focus on Southern Style inspired food. Wow, did they nail the flavor! But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's start with drinks! They have a full bar in addition to specialty Blood Mary's, Mimosas, and Cocktails. I got the Lemon Blueberry Mimosa and my husband got a Blackberry Vanilla Mimosa. Delicious. We both also got coffees and they were excellent as well. (FYI if you're in to Cold Brews, those were available) Now let's talk about food! First things first, BEIGNETS! Now if you've been to New Orleans, you know all about Beignets. Fluffy pastry's with powdered sugar galore!! Now don't get too excited, the ones here aren't like your traditional beignets from NOLA however they're a close second. They are biscuit beignets which ironically tasted just as amazing. I got Chicken and Waffles with a Chipotle Honey glaze. The flavor on the chicken was incredible. Perfect blend of spices and went really well with the Chipotle honey. My husband got the Shrimp and Grits, and let's just say his plate was licked clean by the time we were done. Overall, great place to try out. Daniel our server was awesome, very attentive. Tiffany, one of the managers, stopped by to check on us, very friendly. Covid wise, I will say I felt very comfortable. Staff all wore masks and I saw multiple people thoroughly cleaning the tables after people left. I will say it was somewhat crowded which could potentially make you uncomfortable depending on where you are sitting. We were in a booth, and I felt fine, just depends. But overall excellent place!!
