I can't believe I haven't reviewed this location. i've been here several times and love it. First off, big El Meson Sandwiches fan. Used to eat there all the time in PR. Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices are fair and food is delicious. Their bread is one of a kind. Whether it's some toast, a grilled cheese or a full on sandwich with all the condiments, this tasty bread makes a difference. They also serve decent pastries and good espresso coffee. They also have a variety of coffee drinks. Service might sometimes take a minute, but aren't great things worth waiting for? Finally, the times I have been there, there's always someone cleaning and everything looks spic-and-span. I've definitely given them many chances, but they keep screwing up my orders. I've ordered from the Lee Vista location four different times, in which 3 of those times, something has been wrong with the orders. First time: I ordered a large corn meal. Got to the office, open the container and there was oatmeal. Second time: I ordered at ham and cheese omelet sandwich, got a turkey sandwich. And today...I ordered a ham, egg and cheese with salad breakfast sandwich. Guess what...there was no salad. I've included pics of receipt and the sandwich as proof. Very nice seating area with a friendly staff that explained how things worked. I've only eaten at one at a mall many moons ago and I will say this one seemed better than I remembered. She recommended the Caribe sandwich as one of their popular items so I ordered that for myself. We tried the corn sticks as one side and fries as the other and I will say I liked the fries better. The corn sticks just didn't do it for me for some reason. We also had a quesito thing which was flakey and had some type of cheesy filling inside. It was good but we were already kinda full when we ate it. It was a filling meal for sure and we didn't finish everything. It was a quick meal before a movie and probably saved me like $50 in snacks at the movie theater. I'd stop again for a quick bite. read more

To avoid an excessive wait in the store, thought I'd try to order ahead using their online option. Upon arrival, I asked two people including a manager/ supervisor guy who was very dismissive. When I repeated my question which was "how will I know my order is ready?" I was told to ask the cashier at the end of a long line- exactly what I wanted to avoid. We had a chicken sandwich, which had small chunks of chicken and was a little spicy with the seasoning. I was my lest favorite because the chunks of chicken kept falling out of the sandwich. First, I want to commend Meson for the outstanding customer service and cleanliness of the restaurant. I go there every weekend and have never been disappointed. The staff is professional and friendly. Their sandwiches are excellent, and you always know that you are getting what you ordered. On the coffee though, I wish there was an exact measurement since at times I order the medium and get the light or vice versa and you can't tell with the frothing. Therefore, you never know what you're getting. That is the only drawback. If this can improve, then it's the BEST. It is always a pleasure going there for breakfast. I ordered quickly so I could get out of her space! I ordered the Medianoche sandwich. I asked for extra mayonnaise and easy on the mustard. I got heavy mustard and no mayonnaise whatsoever. The sandwich was OK, rather tasteless, and VERY mustardy but the bread was absolutely amazing! I tried a Coquito latte, and it was not the best. Probably will not return to this establishment. The food was definitely not outstanding and the service was very poor. That poor woman probably needs to find a different job. If that is the first person that everyone comes in contact with when they come into this restaurant, they will probably not have a very good experience. read more

I love that they have a new location! There is also a drive-through! I typically go to the one at Florida Mall, just to get the sandwiches and fries! The quesitos and coffee is wonderful after eating a sandwich. I always get lunch there, I have yet to try breakfast. I normally get either the tuna salad, chicken, turkey, or the media noche. The staff here is way more friendly than the ones at Florida Mall. The assistant manager, made my visit extra special. She was very sweet, and engaged in conversation although I am sure she had better things to do. This is a much larger location than the Florida mall one, because that one is in a food court. There is a lot of space inside, and there is a place for you to place your umbrellas and if it is raining at the front door. I love that they have the Coca-Cola freestyle machine there as well. Everything is clean, new and updated. You must try the sandwiches with the criollo bread and don't forget the mayo ketchup for your fries or sorullos! Had to check out this new place since so many people have been talking about it. We went on a weekend so it was pretty busy but we were able to find seating. It's a solid 3 Stars. Food was good but nothing that I wouldn't miss. The offer various sandwiches, salads, sides, breakfast and different coffees. They offer combo deals with their sandwiches which are reasonably priced. The sandwiches are a nice size. The only thing I felt was lacking was the filling. For example we got a roasted chicken sub and we had more bread than filling. It's a nice new open spot. I love having a fast casual spanish place in the area. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious; a great breakfast option with fresh bread and eggs inside. Their pricing, especially their coffee pricing, is also affordable, but there's always a long wait because of the demand.
