Hubs and I ordered all the things! Most of it was good, the only thing that wasn't good was service and the sausage links. Walked in on Friday, pretty much seated right away. The host he didn't greet us, asked how many, we said 2. Took some menus and started walking away fast (almost like he was in a rush). We looked at each other and just followed. Got seated and was told the waitress would be right with us. He sat us in an area where there was a large party and other tables that had 2-3 people. Fine. We ordered. She made some suggestions. However I did get cheese on my home fries and eggs and there was an extra charge that I wasn't made aware of. So I was less than thrilled. I arrived on a Sunday morning to Keke's and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't extremely packed. For it being in a shopping center I was surprised it was so roomy. We were seated aright away and our server was ready to take our drink orders. We had a few questions about the menu and the server was happy to help. Once our order was placed we received it relatively fast. The French Toast and French Toast Sticks were spongy, delicious, and not too heavy. The Waffle was crisp and soft all at the same time. She was incredibly relatable and charismatic. As a server myself I know the importance or making your guest feel heard and appreciated, she understood the assignment! I stumbled across this little gem on Easter Sunday. I was by myself so I got a table pretty quick. Once I sat down I had the right amount of time to peruse the menu. The waiter was slammed (remember that Easter Sunday thing). He was apologetic but it wasn't necessary. This isn't a fast food restaurant. Personally I am a sucker for Eggs Benedict. I am sure the rest of the food is great too. I did get a side of the silver dollar pancakes and they were perfect. The eggs benny was amazing no twist just a solid classic. Presentation was great. Portions were spot on. The location might strike you as weird tucked between an Ace Hardware and a Cosmo Prof isn't usually where I first start looking for an amazing breakfast spot but this one certainly pulls it off. We went in for breakfast today. We placed our drink order and the water came over and dropped my husbands coffee all over him. Common sense would be for napkins to be brought to the coffee covered guest. Not even that happened. We were moved to a different table. We ordered and were served. The food was fine. Then we got our check where not even the coffee that was thrown all over him was removed from the check nor did the manager come over and check on us. So we left having have eaten mediocre food, a shirt that is now a rag because it is stained with coffee and a ruined afternoon on plan because he had to go home and reshower / change before we could do anything. We were advised of a 20-25 minute wait, put our names on the list and waited outside on the bench until I received a text advising the table is ready. We were seated a little faster than expected and were provided our drinks by the hostess. It took some time but our server came over to take our orders. I ordered the Keke special 2; waffle with whipped cream, two scrambled eggs, home fries and bacon! This food was delicious and came out in a reasonable amount of time! The waffle was so light and fluffy! The bacon was thick and cooked perfectly for me! The home fries were good but some were more burned than I would have liked. Great place ruined by poor staff attitude It's clear that the owner of Keke's Café put a lot of effort into building an amazing restaurant -- Unfortunately, the employees and management don't seem to share that same passion or care. The front desk staff was unwelcoming and unprofessional, and the manager handled a simple situation in a way that completely ruined our visit. If you advertise being pet-friendly, you should respect that policy -- or at least train your staff and management to communicate properly with customers. Very disappointed and won't be returning. You can tell the owner cares deeply about the brand and quality, but the people running it on a daily basis don't reflect that at all. It's sad to see such a good concept being affected by poor customer service. Hopefully, the owner takes a closer look at what's happening with the staff before more loyal customers walk away. read more

I've never waited so long for my order at Kekes. Usually they're pretty quick and food quality is good. They were not super busy either. Finally got the food and it was barely warm, did not even seem fresh. I asked for a new waffle because it was stale. It took 25 minutes for a new waffle. Which I think is absurd. Now with places like Keke's Breakfast Cafe and First Watch, you have better options if you are seeking to eat out for the first meal of the day (and what I was told since grade school was the most important meal of the day). Keke's Breakfast Cafe is a hometown creation, having started here in Orlando, Florida back in 2006 by brothers Keith and Kevin Mahen. Back then, it had the more straightforward name of the Florida Waffle Shop. This location was on Conroy Road and when the brothers started eying the horizon of expansion, they went with the name Keke's (which was a combination of both of their names) both because the name was perceived as more catchy and also because they could not obtain a trademark for the business name Florida Waffle Shop. From that humble beginning of one location, Keke's has grown to over forty locations here in Florida. The reason they have not expanded beyond the Sunshine State yet is that they have not saturated the market yet. The menu at Keke's Breakfast Cafe is filled with the usual breakfast favorites like waffles, omelets, eggs benedict and more. They also have a lunch menu, but I have only tried their breakfast offerings. All in all, my breakfast here was an overall winner. The food was very good, the ambiance was a great alternative to the standard greasy spoon breakfast joint with cheap chairs and chipped tables and my server was friendly, attentive and professional.
