Dixie Belle's has the most amazing Southern food, and when it comes to breakfast, it is truly hard to beat this restaurant! They have an amazing catfish platter! I ordered it with grits, overeasy eggs and a small plate of biscuits and gravy. They offer it grilled or fried and you can get tartar sauce or lemons, or both! The food is always fresh and delicious. My server Victoria is always attentive, they really get to know their guests, and after so many years they know I take an ice water in addition to their delicious hot coffee. They have baked goods available for a nice snack later near the register. And he said it was awesome. I told the waitress what I wanted and she let me know it is the Bacon Combo. Eggs were as ordered, hash browns crispy but not as crispy as the bacon. Oh my. So good. A friend of mine recommended this place as a good comfort food spot, so a few of my coworkers and I decided to come here for lunch. This restaurant is very much giving mom and pop vibes and the staff greets you so warmly when you walk in! We were able to seat ourselves and were brought menus right away. I went with my tried and true BLT with tater tots as my side. The tots were the perfect level of golden and crispy, and the blt was delicious and filling! We arrived around 10 AM during the busy brunch rush, but we got extremely lucky and were seated almost immediately. A staff member finished cleaning the table just as we sat down. I ordered the South of the Border for $13.09--a generously sized burrito filled with eggs, cheese, sausage, and onions, topped with salsa. (If you like extra creaminess, be sure to ask for sour cream.) It normally comes with home fries and toast, and I chose rye. My companion ordered the Eggs Benedict for $13.99 with hash browns. The service was bustling, and we didn't receive our meals until about 11:05 AM--just over an hour. Even given how busy it was, that felt like too long of a wait. I'm not sure if this is a common occurrence. When my plate arrived, it came with hash browns instead of the home fries I requested, but the staff corrected it promptly. Both meals were enjoyable overall. My burrito was tasty and filling. The poached eggs on the Benedict were slightly overcooked for our preference, but the ham was very good. Dixie's has the feel of a classic diner and even has a small bar area where you can eat if you prefer. I would recommend visiting Dixie's during a slower time, and I plan to give it another try--likely a mid-week lunch to avoid the Sunday rush. read more

Our party of 8 recently enjoyed breakfast at Dixie Belle's Cafe a few Sundays ago. Dixie Belle's is a hidden gem with an old time, warm, Southern atmosphere. We were seated sooner than promised which was great because we had 3 youngsters with us. Despite the fact that this Sunday morning was extremely busy, our server was very attentive and friendly. She quickly brought out our drinks and made sure the Little Bellies' meals came out first so the children could start eating. Our grand daughters who ordered the pancakes were surprised at how big their pancakes were. They ate every bite. Unfortunately, our grand daughter who ordered the one egg, bacon, and toast received very small portions. The adults had so much food that we were able to share with her but the plate she was given shouldn't have left the kitchen. Even so, the kids were happy and full at the end of breakfast. My Meat Lovers Omelet was fresh, hot, and filling! The other adults praised their breakfast orders as well. Their overwhelming favorite was the biscuits and gravy. I have visited many times and I haven't had a dish I haven't loved. On this most recent visit I ordered the meat lovers omelet and it didn't disappoint. All the breakfast meat covered and stuffed into a three egg omelet perfect cooked and folded accompanied by my choice tator tots and a delicious fluffy biscuit and don't forget a steamy cup of coffee. I enjoyed Dixie Belle! We have driven by here for about 5 years and every time we mumble "man we should try it". Today, we purposely drove here after dropping my parents off at the airport. Being the Sunday after Thanksgiving we were expecting it to be busy, and when we arrived we found that we were right. Our wait was about 5 minutes though, as people tend to be regulars, and they eat and leave. We were worried about that, but our fears were unwarranted. Our waitress was an absolute gem, and the food came out piping hot! One of the things we tend to do is order one pancake just to see how it is, We are kinda pancake snobs, and this place did not disappoint . However, the two pancakes they gave us are the size of hubcaps, so for sure bring your appetite lol. The place is very southern, with a down home theme, Jesus quotes, and tables that have ads. Upon entry, it gave very much a southern kitchen vibe, and we picked our booth to sit at. We liked that there were ads for local businesses on the tables, it provided a sense of community. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful in navigating us through the menu. After a recommendation from our lovely waitress, I ordered the Barnyard King with tater tots, and the portion size was HUGE! I'm a sucker for biscuits and gravy, and theirs was one for the books. I loved the thickness of their gravy, and how they poured a good amount over the biscuits. My boyfriend ordered the Dixie Slam and was happy that his meal hit all aspects of a well-rounded breakfast.
