Even at my age, I can't do the runny yolk situation, I always ask for my eggs over hard. With that change, I'll say the fajita bowl jumped up to one of my top breakfast/brunch go-to dishes in town. Yes, I know it's technically brunch, but it was before 11 a.m., so I'm calling it breakfast. The shrimp and grits were solid, though the tails were still on the shrimp, which meant a bit of extra peeling at the table, my wife wasn't a fan of that part, but she still finished the dish and enjoyed it overall. Only minor gripe on the food side: ice seems to be a rare commodity here, I'd love a few more cubes in the water. But overall, the food was very good, the patio seating is absolutely the way to go, and the river view is fantastic.

I had my bridal shower today at Another Broken Egg! I called them about a month ago and asked did they do bridal showers and they told me yes, when I asked to reserve they kindly told me that they did not do reservations but the lady I spoke to told me she would write my name down and on the day of my shower to get on the waitlist and let them know how many I was expecting. I really wanted to have a bridal brunch and the thought of no reservations kind of put me in a stage of anxiety because I didn't think everything would go right for my big day. Fast forward to this morning! Even though they do not reserve, I received a call from them this morning asking me was I still coming and they would be waiting on me and my party to arrive! Even called. 2nd time to see if it was okay if they seated my guest as they came in so that we would not have to wait forever! That made my whole day so much better and my anxiety went away! They were super professional! Gave us a 15 seat table and as soon as other tables were available they quickly cleaned and seated the rest of my party! Needless to say my Bridal shower turned out GREAT! I strongly recommend Another Broken Egg for their good food, extraordinary service and just overall hospitality! First of all, huge thanks to Lauren for being the best server and ensuring I had the most pleasant experience. I started off with the cold brew and beignets which came out perfect. The honey marmalade was delicious and a must try. The Apple fritter French toast was fluffy, covered with their rich rum butter sauce, powdered sugar, fried apples, and fresh blueberries. Great place to have breakfast . Ambiance and location is great . Sits right in the river and in side is cozy and bright . Food is very good with a great variety of choices. The wait time is tremendous most of the time . On the weekends , can be up to 2 1/2 hours which is crazy . Wanted to take my son there while visiting for homecoming but impossible . We went for a birthday brunch and everything was less than stellar. The food was inadequate and the service was appalling, especially for the price we paid. Our server was rude the entire time and we constantly had to ask him to refill our drinks and bring coffee. He acted like he had better things to do than be at work. read more
