Ham and cheese croissant with cheese grits

This place was phenomenal for breakfast after staying a night at the Alamite. Service was on point, and the cheese grits were some of the best I've had since moving back to the south. Delicious! It's also a really cute place with great natural lighting.

I love this hotel. It is an amazing atmosphere. Everything is so well decorated and so clean. The service is always on point. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food for breakfast was delicious. My only discouragement was paying four dollars for a cup of coffee when it was free and located at the bar for guest. Would have been nice for the staff to inform me of this, but it's OK. I hope to go back and visit for dinner sometime.

Visiting Tuscaloosa for the first time, date night and birthday celebrations continue ...this was our 1st night dinner at our hotel. Service was great very attentive and accommodating when we asked to split the duck confit and the peppercorn steak. We were originally going to have their dry aged steaks but the refrigerators are not in house yet. Food was delicious, started with the escargot it was very good with the whole grain grits. All the other appz coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, wish I tried the French onion soup -maybe next time For the entree we ordered the duck confit - I just had to twist my boyfriend's arm to wait for it. And he was so glad we did. We had the peppercorn steak too... had to have some steak from this steak house! The meat was delicious but yes I know it's peppercorn but it was a lot of peppercorn... too much for me. For dessert everything is made in house and all desserts served with homemade ice cream. You had me at homemade ice cream , thank you! The pear tart was not my favorite.... Try another dessert. Should have gone for the chocolate....

The appetizer and pasta were both delicious, but the steak was a letdown. I ordered it medium, but it came out burnt and lacked any real flavor. Disappointed with that part of the meal.

Well we made reservations because the restaurant looked so nice and was adjacent to A very nice Hotel , but the old saying is true "don't judge a book by its cover" first the water that's served at the table is awful it has a metal taste to it (filter needed) and next we had two appetizers (best part of the meal ) one was the homemade bread and the other was a ball of rice fried with some spices in it , both were "ok" . Now for the star of the show ! the chicken Parmesan covered with cheese on a bed of noodles, the noodles were tough and overcooked and dry , the chicken was a joke , very thick and so overcooked I could hardly cut it , I forced to cut a small piece and chewed the one bite for what seemed like an hour, as I was chewing it I looked at my friends plate and her's was burnt as well . Ok at this point I'm not happy , at $30 bucks an order I was puzzled that no one ever thought about cutting a chicken breast in half and thinning it out with a meat mallet , then cooking it till done obviously, it's just a thick piece of chicken left in a deep fat fryer for 10 min too long and covered with sauce and cheese and put in an oven to-melt the cheese placed on bed of the most dried out noodles I've ever had , So I'm to believe that this fancy ass restaurant doesn't have anyone in the kitchen that knows basic cooking methods, and it's really not the fault of this poor guy who put this plate in the window , it's the management that failed to train him and really didn't know and or didn't give a damn . So when the very nice waitress came back and asked us how was everything I simply told her the two orders of chicken parmesan was visibly burnt ,the Caesar salad was bland and tasteless flank steak dish was awful as well so four of us left this beautiful restaurant feeling sorry for the owner for hiring a completely incompetent chef or kitchen manager To allow this shit to be served . A well ran " fancy ass" restaurant should have a person checking every dish before it goes out for service for quality and obviously burnt to hell and back chicken . You'll either make some changes or you'll be out of business soon . Check out the photo of my burnt to a crisp chicken . I should have looked at the rating before I went .

I went to visit some friends in Tuscaloosa and while out looking for somewhere to eat we came across Forté. Luckily, we were able to get a table without a reservation. Everything we had was delicious. The burger was juicy and the dessert was incredible. The restaurant is beautiful and has the prettiest bar! The cocktails were also very good. This would be a cute date night spot!

Wow! What a fantastic addition to T-Town for upscale dining with great service, attention to detail and a great dining experience! The steak tartare was delicious! The truffle bucatini was so flavorful yet not overly filling. The burger was mouth watering. Our table had 3 different steaks and were thoroughly enjoyed! The desserts of banana rum cake, chocolate cake & apple tart were all decadent! The chef checked in with our table of 8 to make sure we were fully happy with our meals. We will definitely be back!!

I made reservations for brunch and it did not disappoint. The space is gorgeous and all of the staff were extremely attentive. I ordered the mushroom tart and it was fantastic, full of flavor, and very filling. Overall, we had a great experience here and can't wait for the rooftop bar to open. We definitely plan to visit again in the future!

This former church has been turned into a great restaurant with live music. There's plenty of tables and a bar with a huge screen for sports. The band sets up in the corner up front. The food here is all small plates. Since there were 4 of us, we ordered quite a few. Some favorites were the Pork Belly Tacos, Steak Tacos, Chicken Salad Sliders, and the Steak A La Plancha. Together, with nice glasses of wine, this was an excellent dinner! The restaurant is off the beaten path from downtown and parking on the street is easy. The facility was very nice, clean, and provided a pleasant atmosphere for our special occasion. The service was good, and the staff was attentive throughout our visit. As for the food, it was prepared well and appeared to be enjoyed by many in our group. Several people complimented their meals and seemed very satisfied. For me personally, the menu offerings and flavors were simply not the type of food I typically prefer. That's a matter of personal taste rather than food quality. Overall, I had a positive experience with the venue and service, but the cuisine was not quite my style. For that reason, I would give The Sanctuary on 25th a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Their decorations give off high-end vibes and make the place feel more up-scale and sophisticated. Because of this, I found the music playing not fitting for the evening. When we walked in, it was club style music that I would rather dance to, not sit, chat, and have a few drinks to. It did not match the vibe and took away from the atmosphere. We ordered a mexican pharmacy at the bar, which my friend had recommended to me. I was not impressed, but that is on me, as I should have paid more attention to the menu. I did appreciate watching the bartender make the drink, as they obviously had great expertise behind the bar. My biggest complaint was that the drink was about 6 oz and cost me $15. My overall impression of this speakeasy was just a feeling of being underwhelmed. It is obviously popular, and I would love to try more from the expert bartenders, but I struggle paying their prices and find the atmosphere in contrast to the point of the bar.

A couple of friends and i walked in around 11pm, and i don't know if i was a worker off the clock or something but there was this woman sitting at the bar with her feet on another barstool, on her laptop, halfway through a cocktail and clearly drunk. As soon as we came up the steps, she yells, "How the f*ck do people keep getting in this is the third group!" Mind you, the door was unlocked and wide open. Then, she finally acknowledges us and says "sorry we're closed." I work at a very busy bar here in Tuscaloosa, and I can understand being annoyed, but saying something like that in front of customers coming into your establishment is so incredibly gross. I had an offer to work here and this completely turned me off I will not be coming back.
