As soon as I called Fred that morning before I could even introduce myself, Fred immediately knew who I was. I called Fred at 10am and he had 2 guys show up by noon. Now that's service! Especially since it was 2 days before Christmas. Fred told me he would call a half hour prior before his guys would show up. Fred originally called an hour later about 11am but I was out shopping for Christmas dinner. He sent his guys to a job in Seattle first and I received another call from him a half hour later and his guys showed up at noon. I love how Fred kept me updated throughout the whole process. The two gentlemen that showed up were considerate and put some protection on their shoes so they don't get my carpet dirty. I lead them to my master bathroom and they worked away. Unfortunately. the part that was needed to fix my faucet wasn't readily available in their truck so they had to go out and purchase it. I was glad they were able to purchase the specific model and only charged me for the part, which was quite a reasonable price...of course including the labor. So low my washing machine won't run. I called mainline plumbing to come out and see what could be the issue, explained that they did work in the yard and house next to mine says before. When someone came to my house they had no record or idea that their company did any work next door. So they went under my place and said they would have to rip through all the insulation to see if they could even find a problem. I asked about the valve they replaced on my neighbor's after fixing a broken pipe, bc maybe they could look at that part of the pipes. Once Again, no idea about what that could be. They needed a map of underneath my house and was going to see if the office had any or he'd need to tear through my plumbing. He left. He never came back. To my house. Walked off. No phone call either. My water worked perfectly for years, until Mainline was repairing next door and turning off and on water. I thought they would know what work was done so it could be looked at, or maybe what they had replaced need to be replaced in my pipes too. My neighbor had John replace a water heater about a year ago, so when my 20 year old heater started to show its age, I was happy to have an easy referral. Between first contacting John and actually having the tank installed, a couple of weeks went by. John was booked up and my situation wasn't chronic, so I was happy to wait. Still, he was very cognizant of his schedule and had it been an emergency, I'm sure he would have found a way to come over sooner. Even during that time John was in touch, clearly laying out my options (different brands, different size tanks, different warranties) and when asked, providing his opinion based upon years of experience. My biggest decision was what size tank to install. The current tank was 65 gallons, but it turns out that's an unusual size, which means it cost a premium over say a 50 gallon tank. After weighing the pros and cons, doing some research online and speaking to John, I decided to go with the 50 and several weeks later, it seems to be an ok decision. We've yet to run out of hot water. On the day of installation John showed up and meeting him for the first time in person, I liked him immediately. More importantly I could tell that he knew what he was doing. The total job took 2.5 hours of labor--about what I expected--and the all in total cost was $768, including the 50 gallon Bradford White electric heater, tax, earthquake brackets, etc. I would definitely use John again when I have plumbing needs and I'm happy to recommend him for your own needs.

He made it his mission to find it. He couldn't find the leak originally and then left for another job. When I was able to duplicate the leak, he immediately returned and was determined to figure it out. He found it and worked around our schedule to fix the leak since we were also doing remodeling in our house and bathrooms. There was an occasion where he had to return a couple of days later after the fix because there was still an issue but he didn't charge us for that visit. Come to find out, it had to do with something else and he fixed that as well. You don't find very many great people that take pride in their work and can joke around on the job and have fun with you to lighten the mood.
