He's more likely to show up early rather than late. He got the work done quickly and I have no complaints. Negative 1000 stars. We were referred to Bob for a commercial plumbing job in downtown Seattle/ Pioneer Square. He did a half day of work. Asked for payment before the job was completed. We typically dont do that but he insisted. We paid about $5000. Bob said he was going to his truck for some more tools. That was the last time we saw or heard from him. No messages ever returned, totally unable to contact him. Additionally, when having the plumbing job completed by the good people at Beacon Plumbing, we found that nothing was done to code and we had to rip everything out that Bob had installed. Came out and said he fixed the problem. 2 days later our drain backed up again and ruined our carpet. Was supposed to come back out and fix it and he texted 30 minutes before the appointment and said he can't come because his van broke down and to call someone else. I called Bob, the owner of BBC Plumbing yesterday and he said he would be here today at 10. He arrived at 9 and went right to work. He did outstanding quick work and charged a very reasonable amount. Less then what we had paid another company to do about 5 years ago. I will call him again for sure when I have the need. Had a slow draining sink and it also was dripping water under the counter. Called Bob once again and he said he could come the same day. Cane took care of the problem bin two different sinks. Said he was sure he had then fixed but to leave a plastic container under the one and call him if there was still a leak. No need to call him as there was no leak. We have used Bob Benson at BBC Plumbing to install a new kitchen sink, garbage disposal and dishwasher in our north Seattle home. We found him because he was working on some new condos in our neighborhood. This was a project that other plumbers refused to even bid on because the sink was a large, double-bowl "farm sink" that just barely would fit into the sink cabinet. The cabinets and counter top are unique, so Bob needed to work very carefully. He did all the work carefully and efficiently at a reasonable cost. Our pipe burst at 5pm on a Thursday night. We called BBC Plumbing to get a quote for diagnosing the problem. He came out, free of charge (other companies wanted $50-$100 just to be dispatched) and came out the next morning at 9am. He was very professional and courteous. He showed up ten minutes early, diagnosed the problem within fifteen minutes and had it fixed in about an hour. VERY, VERY fair prices and just all around great service. Today Bob came to my home to address a sewage problem in my crawl space. He was absolutely amazing. Polite, on time, honest and best of all VERY inexpensive. Very disappointing experience. I wanted to hire a local plumber. I found BBC Plumbing online and saw that Bob had good reviews. I contacted him on 2/25/19. He called later in the afternoon and I not only explained the problem, but also sent him photos. Bob called back after looking at the photos and said the tub/shower pipes would probably need to be replaced. I scheduled the appointment for 2/28/19 at 9:00 am. I had BBC plumbing, owner Bob, out to replace a leaking main water valve to our house. When I talked to him on the phone, he said it should be around $200 to $300 to replace the valve. After he looked at what needed to be done to replace the leaking valve, I asked him if he still thought it would be around $300, he said yes, and I asked him to let me know if something came up that would increase the price- he agreed too, but never did. When he gave me the bill, it was $484. When I asked why it was so much, he got very defensive, disrespectful, and very unprofessional. I was very surprised by his attitude because he was the one who set the original price for the work. Bob has been in business for 30 years, and he has very good reviews on Yelp, and because of the good reviews I trusted he would know how long the work would take, what to charge for the work, and explain overages in a profession manner. He was not honest or professional at all!! With hind sight being 20/20, I should not of put so much trust in the Yelp reviews, and I should of gotten the bid in writing! I will NEVER hire Bob again, and in the future I will not put so much trust in the Yelp reviews. read more

Not great service, professional, polite or courteous. I called BBC because of the great reviews, but unfortunately my experience was not great. I called, he said he'd be here in 1 1/2 hours. After 2 hours he called and we rescheduled for the next day. We agreed on a time so that I would be home when we arrived, or so I thought. Apparently he came 40 minutes earlier than we agreed, but didn't call and let me know, then left. I waited for an hour after our agreed time before calling to see if he was still coming. I called and left a message. He called me back and said he had already came but no one answered the door. I told I was home at the time we agreed on but he said I was on his schedule 30 minutes before that time. So I would have to wait until he had time to come my way again. I spoke with Bob, who said he could be there at 5:30. 5:30 came and went, 6:00 came and went. No call! 6:30 came and went and no call from Bob so I called him to see what was up?!.! Within minutes someone gave me The number for BBC Plumbing. I called BBC and left a message. Bob Benson, the owner of BBC Plumbing, immediately returned my call and was ringing my doorbell within the hour. He quickly determined that I needed to replace my kitchen faucet. I had to order a new faucet. It took a few days to get the faucet. Bob said he would come do the work Saturday morning at 8 AM. He was at my house a couple of minutes before 8. It did not take him very long to do the work and now I have a new, functioning faucet. Bob is Reliable, efficient and knows what he is doing. He is also very affordable.
