Today I went in looking for frames. I walked in and I was greeted by two employees. A gentleman named Luis helped me. He was the upmost helpful employee. He was very patient with me, my husband, and my baby. In the middle I received a phone call; I needed a look up a phone number and he looked it up for me on his computer. Later I had to call back and cancel the transaction. Luis took care of it and even called me back telling me the charge was voided. Excellent service! Today was my first visit to AMVC. At first I was a bit concerned since I had a bad experience with the last place I went. I was impressed when I first arrived because it's really nice and clean inside. The staff is really friendly and professional. I had a morning appointment therefore it was also quiet. The doctor was really helpful and informative. She answered all my questions. When it came time to choosing my new glasses I was to choose a few frames. Then the wonderful lady helped me with ordering them how I wanted them. I never felt like they were pressuring me to pay for more than what I needed. I will definitely continue to come here for all my visits. My family will also be coming here from now on. I am honestly impressed that there are still some businesses that care about there patients/customers. read more

Used to be good years ago when actually located in the Mall, however service has gone down while price has gone up. This was a little bit of a trial. At first they got the glasses wrong, then the prescription wrong. But they stepped up to the plate and made it right. They even went to the point of adding a few extras at no charge to make it right. I am impressed, in today's world so many people in business blow you off and side step the issues instead of owning up to their mistake and make it right. This is what customer service is all about. This is how you develop customer retention. By solving the problem, they have created a customer for life. I and my family will be back. So far we, my wife, and my daughter have had their prescriptions filled here and we have all been happy. Gina and Heather made this situation work out to a positive conclusion. I absolutely love this place. The staff are all amazing and super friendly, they genuinely care about you and your vision. My doctor was able to spot a possible issue with my eyes and immediately referred me to a specialist to have a laser eye procedure in both eyes that if not detected could have caused me to lose my vision. They have also been more than accommodating with the problems I had with my new lenses. Apparently I am super sensitive to certain curvatures in my lenses and they have identified that and are making me a new pair that will remedy my issue. I cannot thank you guys enough for all you have done for me and my family over the years. read more

Love the service and staff here! Extremely helpful and kind. The doctors here are very patient and knowledgeable. The also take their time and it doesn't feel like they are trying to get you out of the door quickly. I have never had a problem with my glasses and my custom order of Oakley glasses from them. They even helped out my girlfriend who was having trouble with her glasses but didn't get then from this location but a very nice staff lady simply asked for her glasses and adjusted them for her! A very kind thing to do. I just know I'll be taken cars of if I have any problems! They are moving out if the mall however and down the street in the same plaza as Buffalo Wild Wings. Been coming to this place for the past three years. However, today the receptionist killed my happy vibe. She lacked customer service skills and has an attitude problem. I'm not the only one who noticed it. The doctors are great and give outstanding quality service, but their receptionist with her attitude who is the face of this office makes it an unwelcome experience. She didn't give a good explanation as to why I had to be rescheduled, nor go out of her to have someone explain why. Ultimately she just didn't care. At this point I'm going to take my money to another optometrist. Another point to add is that they don't do courtesy calls days before an appointment to make reminders and to confirm the reason being seen. read more

I really like the optometrist that I see and it's the only reason I keep coming back, but the receptionist at the front desk and certain logistical policies leave a bad taste in your mouth. I work during the day and have a hard time getting an appointment for the evening if I want a Saturday appointment I have to wait about 3 weeks. Today I get in 11 minutes after my appointment even though I spoke with the front desk about running late due to getting out of work late they did not take me in. I hate to look for another optometrist but their strict policies and lack of accommodation does not work for me. read more

I know there are more positive reviews than negative and really my experiences have been hit or miss, but lately, my experience has been negative. My 9-year-old was seeing double, after a full physical and tests we ruled out anything major and took him to the eye doctor. He saw the "pediatric" optometrist who gave a standard prescription (no prism). The staff wrote the prescription wrong and the ordered glasses made my sons headaches worse. I take him back for a re-check and see the "standard optometrist" she said the prescription was all wrong and he needs prism lenses. They re-order the glasses and another three weeks later the glasses came in. (Note: I've given them our phone number numerous times and they still call an old discontinued number so I never get a call when the glasses are done.) The "pediatric" doctor checks my son with the new glasses and spends the majority of her time trying to upsell me on vision therapy at over a $130 a session and says insurance doesn't cover it. She couldn't get the prescription right the first time, why would I pay her for vision therapy? Next, broken glasses. 1-year warranty on kid's glasses is pretty standard. My kid has had his glasses break numerous times, but the office staff can sometimes be really off the mark. They say they will order the new pair and they will be in two weeks. You call two weeks later and they tell "Oh, they were out of those frames so we couldn't order them." Great, where's the communication? Twice this happened. They need better protocols about glasses and communication with patients. Next, the hours. Don't bother reading the hours on their website or their office. They open and close when they want. If you work and NEED late appointments find somewhere else. They are rarely ever opened to the times listed on their door. Always, long waits when I've been there. It's nice the add the eye-map for free, but I hate the upselling and I hate the lack of communication with the front of the house. Like others, they can sometimes be snotty. There is one older woman who works up front who also where's prism lenses she was awesome that was the only plus. read more

I had a problem with my Glasses and they were scratched. They were closing as I pulled up and Gina Greeted me out side as she was leaving. She asked my name and the issue. Did not write anything down. Told me she would call when replacements were ready..She called. When I arrived my glasses were adjusted and ready. Don't know how she did it. The old ones were giving me distortions and head aches also the new glasses fit perfectly and are like looking out of a window. Amazing. Gina is awesome. read more

This is an update to my review from 12/16/2019: Shortly after writing my review, I received a voicemail from the office Manager, Heather, apologizing for the treatment my wife and I endured over our visit on 12/12/2019. And when I called her back upon her request, she assured me that she had discussions with her staff and has made some changes. And now, when I've had contact with staff, they appear to have a nice pleasant attitude, and seem to be willing to accommodate my optometry needs. She also immediately offered to have us come back in on the unusual business day of the very next Saturday, to get us in before the end of the year. Although my wife got sick, and couldn't make it, I managed to keep that appointment, and was surprised at the nice change in attitude. Also, when it came time to pick up my new glasses, I was having trouble getting out there to pick them up, so they're conveniently mailing them out to me. Although I cannot and shouldn't withdraw my review of our actual experience we had on 12/12/2019, I will say that NOW it would be worth checking out this optometrist. They appear to have changed for the better, and are back to their original friendly, accommodating self. read more

They messed up my prescription 3 times. I kept explaining to them I cannot see clearly from a distance and I needed my glasses for both reading and driving. Was completely ignored and disregarded my concerns. Took like 2 months to finally put my foot down and demand a refund since they clearly did not care about my safely when wearing the glasses they were prescribing. Before you pick up your glasses or your contacts make sure that you confirm with the staff that your products have exactly what you ordered. I have dealt with three different ladies and all three of them messed up my order. I would show up to pick up my glasses and I would ask them to confirm if I got everything that I asked for. They would promise me that everything was there. But when they would read the delivery paperwork it would show that an item or more were missing from the lenses. It doesn't make sense how three different people can make the same mistake. Then they start to apologize for wasting my time. The manager at this location needs to hire competent people that pay attention to detail so things like this won't happen over and over again. I'm giving them three stars only because my kids like the optometrist there. I was completely done with this place but my kids like it here so I guess I have to suffer.
