Wow! This place was spectacular! The minute you walk in you can smell the wonderful wood burning smell of mesquite. The tables were spread out and the entire staff was wearing masks. I had the tomato bisque soup and the rotisserie chicken. Both superb! The chicken came with potatoes seasoned potatoes that were phenomenal. I also had a wedge salad that came with bacon and cake cheese dressing. I would have like it to come with tomatoes, I forgot to lion at the menu to see if it had it but it would have been a nicer touch if it did! Anthonie's is my family's favorite restaurant for celebrations or for a nice meal and change of scenery! There's nothing we've tried that we haven't loved. My personal favorites are the braised short rib and the bananas foster bread pudding (which may be my favorite food in the world - no joke). Service is always outstanding! Hello i was trying to send a private msg but wasn't Able to. I came in Friday night with my husband for the wonderful outdoor dining. Ordered the scampi which is always amazing. However I didn't eat much that night. Leftovers it is, but this morning, to my surprise, I discovered a brown hair entangled in my pasta (photo attached). I have locs currently in an up style and my husband a low cut. I was very disheartened to have to throw away my barely touched meal due to this. read more

Ate here Friday night with a party of 4 outside. Everyone enjoyed their food but at sundown the waiters all started spraying down with bug spray. Then here came the mosquitos by the hundreds and the patrons passed around cans of spray. Several parties paid quickly and left. This is easily fixed with some afternoon yard spray. I had requested my pork chop just medium and it was very done. One of our party commented on how tough the steak was. Won't be back unless we eat inside. read more

A small group of friends and I ate there last week and LOVED everything about it! They had tables seated outside six feet apart, with huge fans to keep the air circulating. I ordered the pork shank, and it was HUGE! The flavor was amazing, and it came with collard greens and fried Cajun Mac n cheese. YUM! For dessert, I ordered the bread pudding with Blue Bell vanilla ice cream and bananas foster. It was the size of a small mountain! Wish restaurants would get a clue and offer small dessert portions. This place is okay like Cracker Barrel is okay but more upscale. I was mostly annoyed and my friend seemed indifferent. He was so indifferent that we talked about his dumb bike race. They do have a pretty cool Bloody Mary with a bunch of fern and stuff. To me, it felt like it was a formula tested by focus groups. This place is awsome. No place is perfect but they go the extra mile to try and make it so. Food is always great as is the service. I have about 3 or 4 servers I request but when they are off I get the next person in line and I am always happy. Give them a shot and if the rarity of a problem does happen talk with them. Omg. I would give it more than 5 stars. Everything was on point. Our party had 2 appetizers 5 entrees and 3 desserts. All different and we offered sharing amongst the table. Yvette our waitress, knew her stuff. No question went unanswered. Made suggestions, explained descriptions and gave us time to ponder the wonderful menu. (Anthonie's your LUCKY to have her). Patio was awesome, place was clean and the bus staff kept up completely with the change of tables. Kudos to them as well. Live music of patio and great variety of drinks. I would give a 5 star rating but I have been requesting they bring back the pork shank which was a 10 out of a 10 but they have not. Otherwise I'd say the food is amazing and the service is always great! The ambiance is also very relaxing and drinks are good too! read more

Your service last night slipped. We were seated indoors in the Corner near the restrooms. Our party of 5 seldom saw our waitress. Food, excellent! Service, was non-existent by our Waitress: Amanda. Request for rolls 20 minutes after our meals were finished, and the requested Cream for our coffee never arrived even with the second request. Had to request our tab after a lengthy wait. Maybe she had a bad day? Sorry... but our Birthday celebration for our friend was a downer! We love the casual atmosphere and rustic feel. The service is always great. We keep going back because their attention to details stands out. The waitstaff know the menu in and out and provide excellent recommendations. We've tried several items on the menu but our favorites are the creamy baked spinach dip, the braised short rib roast, the gumbo, and the bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. What a lovely place for a nice evening out! Went here with some friends for a double date. I love that they have a HUGE outdoor patio with covered seating and heaters for the chilly evenings. Been here twice now and it's fantastic. It's a bit of a drive from Houston, but worth the effort. We've tried a number of items from the menu and everything tasted great. Fried pickles and peppers - great starter. Always a nice kick when you get a Pepper not realizing it's not a pickle. Fried calamari - comes with a buffalo sauce under a large portion of lightly breaded calamari Wedge salad - loaded with bacon, eggs, and blue cheese. Pork shank - OMG. This entree is off the charts. A bed of bacon braised collard greens with a large pork shank atop. The bone in the pork pulls free and clean. The pork is unbelievable flavor. In addition, it comes with a fried Cajun Mac and cheese block. Pork chop - ordered it Oscar style, which comes with a pile of crab on the chop and two fried asparagus spears. The pork chop was tender and flavorful. The entree comes with mashed potatoes. Subbed the potatoes out for the side of bacon braised collard greens. Sooooo good. Caesar salad with Salmon - was a little surprised by the $11 price on the addition of the salmon. However, when the salad arrived, the piece of salmon was huge. Great flavor. Essentially, the food was amazing on both visits. But the ambiance was great. Both visits we sat outside. Live music makes the scene. Big Ass Fans are blowing to ensure your comfort, even when it's warm outside. There's a huge fire pit and cornhole boards outside. Truly a great experience. Great atmosphere huge outdoor seating with fire pit, live band on the weekends and you can even enjoy a game of corn hole. If you rather sit in the AC they offer inside seating as well. Staff is very accommodating, the menu has a wide variety to choose from along with daily specials. We enjoyed the quail bites to start with and I had the grilled salmon with asparagus. Went to Anthonie's Saturday evening. Food was really good. Service was amateur. Server left the table before getting everyone's drink order. We ordered a salad which didn't come out until we were half done with our main course and after we had told 2 servers we hadn't yet received it. Also, the bottle of wine wasn't served until after nearly half done with dinner. Server then only asked 2 people if they wanted dessert--my husband had wanted the crem brûlée but she never even asked our end of the table. Also ordered a gumbo to go and had to ask for it again after the bill was paid. Just heard that the card was overcharged multiple times and someone is still putting charges on the card from the restaurant--yes, the card was canceled yesterday. Just found out general manager claims there was a nationwide credit card hack and someone else was responsible for checking voicemails. read more

We just left here and had a pretty poor experience Had reservations for 6 people, at 8:30 We called at 8:00 to let them know we're running 5 minutes late, they were fine with it mentioned nothing. It was about an 1hr drive We get there and they tell us they've been out of power all day and can't take any reservations. We're not upset at something they seemingly can't control But this is pure disrespect to your customers, we could have been given a curtesy call or been told when we called !! Our second visit was even better than our first. They no longer serve the burstin onion so we skipped appetizers but did order two white sangria. The flavor was great for a summer evening! For dinner we ordered the salmon ($22) and the lamb ($39). The salmon did not come with any sides except 3 stalks of asparagus, the sesame glaze was delicious and sweet. The lamb was crusted and cooked deliciously! The chocolate cake was nice. Definitely big enough for two people to share. Wow!!! I came here last Sept 2020 for my birthday with a group of friends. We had reservations sat down right away I requested for outdoor. Plenty of outdoor seating my preference would be seating in the concrete area bs grass since there too much mosquitoes. Server was very knowledgeable he recommended their appetizers with chips rancheros I think was the name of the dish. The whole table all got different items and everything came out really good fettuccini to the ribs were all very tasty! I'll def come back here... nice to be away from the city and out in open fields. Sorry I don't have the hoots of the food anymore.
