First off I have a serious issue when a server locks their focus in on just one out of two of the people that are their customers! This female server locked in on my partner and only made eye contact or addressed me once!! She made it feel like I wasn't worth serving. The restaurant was clean and had just 2 other people there at the time. The female server that that table had was very attentive and even attended to us also when she saw our drinks were almost empty. The food tore our stomachs up!! We got loaded fries ( that were definitely NOT loaded ( pic included) and chicken wings ( which weren't bad) but we paid for it later in the bathroom!! When I find a place where the food isn't that good but the service is, I'll come back but with this place I will not be back!! read more

Passing through, stopped for a burger. They had a unique one with a squared piece of panko breaded fried mozzarella cheese on top, instead of your typically melted American. Also had pickles and mayo. It was different, not sure I would order that again, but its worth a try. I just prefer the melty ooey goodness of the cheese incasing my burger patty, and it was a literally too crispy - panko takes over the burger. Fries were battered and excellent! Price is about par for inflation and its a small mom & pop so they gotta stay in business. I think for the full meal (burger, fried, drink) it was $19. They have daily specials so will be trying some other stuff! read more

Out of the way stop north of I-10, on 359 in Pattison, TX. One of the best chicken fried steaks I've had in the area. Tge chicken fried chicken was good too. The Monday meatloaf special was enough to feed two. I loved the green beans and the mashed potatoes were good. There is ample parking and seating. I've found the service variable depending on the attentiveness of the servers. Go and enjoy. The banana pudding is better than Buccees but at $8 I'm one and done. Grab some Blue Bell ice cream for the road. Check out their amazing Google reviews. read more

The service was wonderful. We went for breakfast and they had the quintessential small town diner where everyone knows everyone, probably because they do. They aren't fake country or that new age farm country, this is just a simple diner serving up some good food with a great atmosphere. If you want something fast, this is not for you, go somewhere else! Everything here is made to order, with love and care. They even have not one, but 2, Yes TWO different vegan meals for lunch. I highly recommend Patti's Diner. The restaurant is super clean and nicely decorated. The tables are not crammed in which allows a reasonably comfortable distance from others. There's an outside play area and a side dining room in addition to the main dining room. Restrooms were also very clean & tidy. The customer service was top notch. Friendly and helpful ladies who look like they enjoy their job. No bad attitudes here. Excellent customer service! The food was really good. My belly is sufficiently stuffed with the goodness of a mozzarella burger & onion rings. I didn't realize the mozzarella was going to be fried but I'm not complaining. It was really good. A huge slice of fried mozzarella on an equally sized burger patty. Husband got the mushroom Swiss burger with caramelized onions and fries. We both loved our burgers. Was driving through and saw this establishment and had to stop. The white building looked rustic it had an old dinner vibe. Once inside the waitress were friendly and immediately sat me down. Inside of the restaurant was like I was sitting in somebody's kitchen. The restaurant was clean and spacious inside. Furthermore the restrooms were clean. I ordered the chicken fried chicken. The plate was as amazing and the mashed potatoes were amazing. The mashed potato tasted homemade and fresh. The chicken fried chicken was flavorful but the meat was tough. 9 out of 10 times, I betting the chicken is tender but for some reason I got a tough piece. Service was 5 stars. They are attentive, accommodating, and pleasant. The ambiance is what you'd imagine for a small town diner. I ordered their spicy chicken sandwich. I had some French fries and a couple onion rings. The sandwich would have definitely hit the spot had the bottom bun not been soggy from so much buffalo sauce. An easy fix to keep this from happening is to put the cheese and vegetables on the bottom to protect the bun, or only put the sauce on top of the chicken and then stack veggies. All in all, I really want to try some of their other food items in the future and will be definitely going back. read more

We've been going to Patti's since it opened and never had an experience like tonight. My wife has been excited about the Chicken & Dumplings since she saw it on the specials last weekend. She ordered the dish and it came out simply awful. It was "clumpy" (her word), over spiced, and the dumplings were bland as if they were nothing but Bisquick. She tried three spoons and told the server she couldn't eat it, it was that bad. When he returned we were told they can't take it off the bill as we ordered it. So, they sent us a simply awful dish and I still paid for the dish. Pathetic customer service tonight! I have to say, since the chef had changed the food quality has taken a huge nosedive at this location. I understand the owners have many restaurants but Patti's has gotten to where we may stop going until we hear about changes. It's simply not worth the money at this point. read more

Sandwiches, chicken fried streak, burgers and catfish. Very clean and casual with prompt, friendly staff. Portions were a good size and the Catfish was fair. The sweet potato fries were very good. Was torn about giving them a 4th star because the food was fine but nothing memorable. I will try something else next time and update the review if needed. read more

Amazing service and amazing food. Our family was out at the Summer Breeze RV park so we decided to stroll in for dinner. I got the spicy cheese burger and my husband had the mozzarella cheese burger. Everything was delicious. And to top it off we had a strawberry milkshake that was good as well! The owner was so nice and was super welcoming to my kids. He went above and beyond and we will definitely be back even though it is a bit far away from our house. Thanks for a wonderful experience! read more

Ate here for the first time. I had a salad. I forgot the name of it. It had grilled chicken, pecans and strawberries. I had the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. It was fresh and delicious! We just found this place when we moved close by. What a great find! We ordered the Beer Battered Onion rings off the bat and the owner gave us an order of fried pickles. They were both great. My wife would have liked the pickles to be crispier, but I loved them and the flavor was great. She and I shared the mushroom Swiss burger and it was great. Today was my very first time ordering here and it definitely won't be my last! First I want to say the restaurant's atmosphere was beautiful and the staff there were very nice and generous. I felt a great energy entering the restaurant as well as leaving. I ordered pick-up for the Classic Mozzarella Burger and I was not disappointed at all. I'll start this review by saying that my husband and I have passed by this place so many times and we finally decided to stop in for dinner. And we are so happy we did! Patti's is amazing! From the service to the food, everything was great. The fried pickles were super crispy and delicious. We both got the cheese spicy burger and it was beyond good! The freshness of everything was spot on and the peppers and bbq sauce were the perfect touch to this burger. The fries were crispy and fresh and we couldn't stop eating them! I have eaten at Patti's diner several times over the last year. Virtually every meal has been excellent, the price is reasonable and the service is good. Highly recommended. One thing that immediately turns me off in a restaurant is boxed mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes here are real and absolutely delicious. Their cream gravy is just as good! read more

The french fries were super hot and fresh, I will give them that. I think at this point, we will stick to the chicken tenders because those are super good, but the burgers were not good at all. Again, we really enjoy this restaurant, but we are going to stick to what we normally order. If you order a burger at Mia's table, make sure you tell them that you want it done medium, and not well done. Other than this experience, we have always loved the food there and you get free ice cream after your meal. We highly recommend the chicken tenders and the baked beans are phenomenal. The green beans are great. The banana pudding is great and the staff is super friendly.

You come in and seat yourself, and while there were several tables available, the restaurant definitely wasn't empty. There were people dining in the back room and out on the porch. It was a gorgeous day, but we opted for the AC. Service wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't especially attentive. It took a while for someone to come by with menus, and throughout the meal things just seemed to move slowly despite the restaurant not appearing understaffed. I don't mind a relaxed pace, but I also don't want to spend my entire afternoon sitting indoors at some random restaurant waiting around. We started with chips and queso. The chips were decent, but the queso was extremely thin and soupy--more like cheese soup than queso--thus definitely not worth the $10 price tag. Unless you love soupy queso. Then maybe it's definitely worth the $10 to you. For lunch, my brother and mom ordered The Local Burger with Fries and added avocado, my friend ordered the Beef Tenderloin Steak Wrap with Chips, and I tried the Spicy Buffalo Pizza because honestly, every menu starts looking the same after a while, and I wanted something different. Unfortunately, there were several issues with our order. Everyone's food arrived but my brother's because our server somehow assumed mom and he were sharing one burger since they ordered the same thing. They also forgot the avocado add-on for both burgers. The Spicy Buffalo Pizza was probably the biggest disappointment for me. The crust also appeared to be some sort of cornmeal-style crust that wasn't my favorite and didn't hold up well under the weight of the toppings. It was the kind of slice you knew would end up on you rather than in you, so I was really careful to make sure it hit the pizza board and not me. I ended up boxing most of it for my housemate. Mark wanted dessert, and they have something called "The Spot Ice Cream Sandwich," which is a brownie or assorted cookie with vanilla ice cream and toppings. Mom asked whether he could simply order the brownie by itself, and our server Victor said he would ask, but we never actually got an answer. One thing that really annoys me at restaurants is charging $4 for fountain drinks and then not keeping them refilled. Victor did eventually ask about refills, but by then the meal was basically over. Overall, this place wasn't bad, but it also wasn't great. The atmosphere and design are probably the strongest part of the experience. I wouldn't necessarily avoid it, but I also wouldn't go out of my way to come back. What made lunch even funnier is that next door at Cross Creek Ranch, there's a hanging sign advertising an "observation deck." We had debated going before lunch but decided to eat first and then check it out afterward. Much like the restaurant itself, the concept sounded far more impressive than the actual experience. There really wasn't much to observe. I just found it amusing that both experiences ended up being equally mediocre.
