We have so many amazing things to say about Anthony and his work we don't even know where to begin. This review comes from both my husband and myself for the shoot Anthony did on our wedding day. We'd be remiss if we didn't include the details of that day's weather forecast - which called for rain during the exact time our photography permit was scheduled. We kept in touch with Anthony throughout the day and he was already ahead of it! He was checking minute by minute weather and said the rain (deluge, really) would let up 5 minutes after we were scheduled to begin. Holy hell, he couldn't have been more prepared. He arrived with extra-large umbrella (just in case) for him, his assistant, the equipment, and one for us! Luckily, the rain let up when Anthony said it would. He also arrived before us and had already scouted the area and knew where the 'kodak moment' spots to shoot were, from beginning to end. As for the shoot, well, we're awkward in front of the camera to say the least. But thank god for Anthony's direction and vision, we were able to pull through. Anthony was incredibly professional, patient, considerate, and knew exactly how we needed to position ourselves for the best possible shots. Anthony kept the mood light, fun, and allotted the perfect amount of time for family pictures as well. The good: Affordable, flexible, timely. I did two different wardrobe changes with multiple photos in about 30 minutes. Anthony's turnaround time was fantastic. The bad: Asked me pointed questions about my race out of the blue and if I had a boyfriend or not. Not professional behavior for a male photographer to ask his female client. I did not feel comfortable saying anything because I didn't want my photos to be negatively affected. It's not that easy to put into simple words-the kind of work that you will receive from Anthony. I already booked a photographer for our wedding. We hired Anthony to do my daughter's Senior pictures. My daughter had always wanted her pictures done at the Getty Villa in Malibu. He was more than willing to go there and we got some great shots!!! We had the pleasure of working with Anthony for our engagement photos and our wedding. We took our our engagement pictures all over Downtown LA . He was very patient (I'm very particular and had about 4 different locations that I wanted to take pictures at) and made sure that I got every pose that I wanted. He never complained and always made sure to ask me if I was satisfied with the pictures before we moved on to the next location. The whole shoot took about 8 hours (we started at 4pm and ended almost midnight lol) and even before we left he made sure to ask if I was happy with the photos and said he'd be happy to take more! First let me say the photos that Lightcaptured took for our engagement and wedding are stunning to say the least. We took our engagement photos in November of 2012 and the photo team that came out to do our photos in Los Angeles was amazing; not only at being photographers, but also with knowing how to be personable with us as clients. We always felt like we could ask questions or make suggestions for certain locations of where we would like to go and they would give their expert input on how that location would work. I.E. Lighting, people traffic, sunset times, wind, etc. These guys took everything into account and were extremely patient with us throughout the full day of shooting. They were flexible with our schedule and kept everything on time, even with extra locations that were not originally planned. My wife and I had our wedding at a beautiful home resort in Temecula in November of 2013 and had Lightcaptured come out to take the photos of this once in a lifetime occasion. They were on time, early, and energetic throughout our special day. One thing we didn't want were the typical run of the mil photos you see on everyone's else's wedding albums. While we did have some traditional photos Lightcaptured was quick and creative in coming up with unique ideas and taking photos of things we did not even think of! When we received our photos were beyond pleased, they had exceeded our expectations and then some. One thing to mention also was that the day of the wedding it was a bit tricky because the sun was setting in the background of some shots and I had thought it was going to throw off the light in the photos, but the photos came out perfect even with that environmental obstacle. The best decision we made on our wedding day was having Lightcaptured Photography shoot our wedding photos! With all the ups and downs, emergencies, and WTF moments that come with weddings ceremonies, Anthony and his team were with us every step of the way. They guided us through the process to capture photos at the perfect time. It's embarrassing, but they pretty much became our wedding coordinator. On the day of the wedding, they came super early to take pictures of us and our groomsmen/bridesmaids (my wife's dress/shoes, rings, during preparation, group photos, etc), and stayed until the very last minute to take every last picture to complete our album. They provided suggestions, were open to communication, and naturally became a part of our ceremony. Our wedding was in California, but we are based in New York. Anthony, who came highly recommended by another photographer, made the whole process very easy. My initial meeting with Anthony was very positive. He showed me some of his work, a lot of which was a photo journalism style, which was great. I was impressed by the fact that he, along with his partner Martin, both actually studied photography in school. With so many new young photographer's around I liked that he had this background in his education. Although Anthony likes the photo journalism look, he does various other styles as well. We shared both photography and film references, which made the whole collaboration fun. We both love Wes Anderson films, which came through in some of the images. I wanted more candid shots rather than overly romantic posed photo's. I also told him that it was okay to just capture the moment even if we weren't smiling in every shot. Some of these more straight on Wes Andersen style shots were some of our favorites, they felt fresh and interesting in a different way. However, even though I said I wanted more candid shots, he told me we should still have some more traditional posed shots, which I'm glad we did as those are the one's my parents and family really like. Leading up to the wedding while I was back in New York we shared a Pinterest board where I put up a bunch of reference photo's. I was really happy to see how Anthony captured the quality and style of those images, especially with some of the detail shots. In the end the photo's came out beautiful! Anthony was hightly recommended to me to take pictures of my daughter and niece last year. They both needed photos to turn in for a pageant. Although my niece (12 yrs old) is a very beautiful girl, she's also VERY shy so I didn't think being in front of a photographer would work out for her but after a few rounds of different poses Anthony was able to make her feel at ease and was able to capture gorgeous pictures.
