Annoyed, I had no choice and I desperately needed service because cold showers are no fun. The AI dutifully took all my info down, and even simulated the sound of typing whilst I answered "her" questions of what was going wrong. I secured an appointment for tomorrow. Score! Not so fast..... I then received a call at 3:15pm today from a human at Astacio who told me that the AI shouldn't have booked the appointment and the earliest available would be six days from today. And now that I'm getting this update at the end of the day, I'm out of time to call other vendors to scour for an earlier appointment. And she broke this news of her insubordinate AI to me AFTER 1) spending five minutes with me asking all sorts of detailed questions about my house, heater etc and 2) putting me on hold for five minutes. When she broke the news to me that I didn't in fact have an appointment, at least not one in the physical world, I asked her if she was insane.

Fraudulent billing…read more Watch out for these fraudsters. I had Arctic over to look at a heating issue. Their tech was in my house for no more than 20 minutes. I received a bill for 1.5 hours. When I called them, their rude representative claimed their GPS said he was at my house for one hour and 27 minutes. Then she hung up on me. I then check my Ring doorbell camera and got the video evidence. I wrote the company and then got a call from a "manager" who claimed their rep didn't argue with me and they were fixing it. Watch out for these crooks. If they're willing to scam me on my first small bill, imagine what they'd do to you if you did a big project with them. CROOKS. Update: Subsequent to the original post, Jeffrey F from Arctic Mechanical wrote a reply to my post, inaccurately characterizing the events, but more importantly, listing my name and home address in his reply. Failing to detect leakage BEFORE adding refrigerant is the service problem. Arctic solution is to now install a new A/C, after spending over $3,000 dollars on Arctic Mechanical service. In past, Artic quoted me a heat/hot water unit, and after accepting the quote installed a different brand. No explanation for this bait - and- switch maneuver. No longer quality service, little value, but unreliable response to emergency. Buyer beware.
