I have been a customer for a few years. I have a yearly service contract w c&c that I maybe have used once or twice. I have now tried to contact them four time since yesterday on their emergency line. I have no hot water, I have spoken with their answering service, been told a technician will be told, and NO TECHNICIAN HAS RETUNED MY CALL. It is now approaching the 24 hour point and not one word from the company. I renewed my contract but am curious if I am a yearly contract for emergency service it nobody is calling me back during my emergency what is it for? read more

I called them privately as I thought paying directly would get a better and reliable service. They were recommended by my super. What a mistake! They sold me an unnecessary and expensive wireless thermostat, almost doubling its price from its normal market value. Then they connected it to the only live wires on the wall for heating leaving me without AC the whole summer. They claimed my AC compressor was out of order and told me I needed to replace it (and of course they'd charge me $10K for it). They simply see you as a sitting duck to be plucked. After that I tried to get the repair done through american homeshield-affiliated DGM contracting, but they proved to be awful and had no idea to fix it at all. So, I got Air Solutions instead and their crew solved the complex problem with my heating-cooling system in one go. They were professional, knowledgable, experienced and finally I have both my AC and heating working again. read more

Prompt, Courteous, reasonable diagnosis (hourly rate)....so what's the problem? Well the cost to actually execute the repair work frankly was a bit rich. I needed a limit switch replaced on my heater and a contactor replaced on my A/C heat pump. The limit switch is a $15 item that takes about 5 minutes to replace, they wanted $170 The contactor is a $25 item that takes about 15 minutes to replace, they wanted $270. I'm sure they aren't alone in marking up repairs but it seems to me that the quoted prices are distinctly out of skew with the reality of the cost of the parts and labor....must be the zip code (Greenwich) markup, I partially blame people in this town for not really having the good sense to know when they are being overcharged. I wound up paying the technician for the diagnosis $110 buying the items online and installing them myself, total cost $150 instead of $440. Had the pricing not been so egregious, say $250 I would have probably let them just do the work. read more

I've been looking for a local HVAC company since I had a new system installed about 3 years ago... was NOT impressed by the company who did the install, so had hoped to find a better one locally here in Stamford. Called C&C this morning after my heat went out last evening, and they set me up for a service call same-day. Technician went right to work upon arrival, and quickly diagnosed the problem. Was repaired and up and running within about 30 minutes, with a full explanation of what was wrong and how he fixed it. I happily signed up for the annual service plan, and am glad to have found a reliable local company to deal with! I am a realtor in Stamford and had a listing that needed the heat fixed. I called C&C they were very professional and quick to make the appointment. I was on a dead line so contracts could be signed. Joe the tech was waiting for me when I pulled up to let him in. He worked fast to fix the problem ( spider webs in the pilot area of heating unit) they charged a great price and within 20 min total the heat was fixed and working properly. Have used many other companies in the past and not one of them could come close to the Level of Service provided by C&C and their excellent team. They have 24hr emergency service, which so many times has saved the day and made our customers happy. Super organised, and when they set a time to meet, always on Time, As a contractor I appreciate this the most, excellent response time to emails and I can always get them on the phone when I need them.
