Our AC died late in the day during a heatwave and we didn't realize it had failed until very late. We called numerous HVAC companies the next morning and Technique Heating & Cooling was one of only companies that would even talk to me about getting us on their already-busy schedule. Already they were trying hard to help get our AC back and running. Omar arrived at the beginning of the stated appointment window (wearing a mask and being cognizant of all of the pandemic-related strangeness we all have to endure right now). He quickly started diagnosing issues of which we had a few minor things that combined to take our and lessen the effectiveness of our AC. He was very willing to explain what was wrong, why, and how it should best be fixed. He got our AC back up and running and thoroughly checked and even cleaned our system. We both noticed that my condensate pump was in a bad way - which must have started recently - and was not the root cause of our distress, but he did not have a compatible pump available on his truck. David, the owner, actually brought a compatible pump from their supply location so that our whole ecosystem could be fixed up to working order which was particularly impressive. Even during the tail end of a heatwave (when there must be so many appointments on the books) and for someone who wasn't a previous customer I felt like Technique went out of their way to make sure our system was not only repaired but in tip top shape before they headed out. Plus: came out timely. Negative: Charged $180 for a call out and new part that they recommended. When the AC still was not working, they recommended a new A/C at a cost of $9,000. I got another A/C company in, and they found the issue was a time relay board, and charged me a total of $150. I saved $8850 rather than using Technique. read more

Can't say enough good things about this company. We had one of the bigger company's come out to take a look at a split system that was leaking water from inside. They did literally nothing except remove the cover and had no idea what the problem was. David figured out the issue within minutes and didn't charge us for the time it took to go pick up parts. I called Technique a year ago for a problem with our upstairs A/C system. They came out within a few hours, diagnosed the problem as a burned out switch in the condenser unit, fixed it and thoroughly cleaned out the condenser. We were thoroughly satisfied. Then a year later we sold the house and on the day of closing the buyers did a walk thru and found that the same A/C unit was not functioning. Worst service ever! Completely Unprofessional Company in Town. My Central Air broke down and the OWNER David, said he would be at my home at 3 pm after his 2pm conference. At 3:45pm I called Teqnique Heating & Cooling main number the receptionist literally said "he would lose his head if it wasn't attached to his head." She said he was running behind and that she left at 4:30 if I needed to call back. When I called back @4:45 David, the owner answered annoyed that I called again. He basically showed up to my house walked in the door. I asked him if he was ok because this guy was literally Tense and visibly angry. He said I wasn't being "appreciative enough" that he was there and he walked out. In front of my 5 year old and 11 year old girls who are stuck for another night in the heat. Thank God I had an appointment with a Real professional Westchester heating and cooling Company already set for the morning. This guy is the OWNER and he won't be in business too long with a crazy personality like that. He was about to lose it for no reason. Crazy guy did me a favor!!! They replaced my chimney liner with a heavy duty one and repaired my chimney that was collapsing. They worked over 12 hours straight to fix my VERY defective chimney.
