Visit the area once or twice a year for family. My father in law loves this place and since he's up there in age, set in his ways we had to go there. This time it was pick up as he can no longer move around that easy. Ordered his standard and I had the same, fish and chips (one two piece and one three piece), and a Caesar salad. Upon arrival worker was bagging food and forgot the salad, good thing I checked before driving home. What I failed to notice was the missing cole slaw salads with the fish and chips. Fish was good, however very small pieces. The french fries were soggy and mushy. One dinner had had a lot more fries than the other. No napkins, utensils, condiments. For 20 and 25 bucks respectively way over priced for the quality. I know your on the water and it's very scenic but hey at 45 dollars for five pieces of fish and soggy fries forget it. Do yourself a favor and head elsewhere in town where the fish and chips are half the price and taste good (you know they have that blue sign and logo). I know because the next day I had to find out for myself. Will not be returning here on the next trip. read more

Poor breading and the oil too old that the calamari was fried in. Mahi Mahi fish taco had poor seasoning and over cooked. The salsa was canned and not fresh. Blackened Rockcod had poor seasoning. This is a "Beach Cafe". It's a good spot to enjoy outdoor eating, the live music was a bonus and service was good. If you have kids (we don't) there's a fun place for them to play close enough not to hover and not disturb the other patrons. We would definitely return especially for the specialty beverages. read more

Very good. I would say tho the room to wait for a seat is insanely hot. I didn't use the restroom so I can't really discuss that. The parking is ok but definitely would go at quieter times otherwise u may have to walk a bit. The menu is limited comparable to the upstairs Anthony's (this is the day one vs open at night) but still has good food. The staff is young but they are nice & do a pretty good job. I got the seafood salad and an egg free dressing that was really good. My family got fish & chips they seemed pretty happy. The view is nice and it wasn't hot inside (except the entrance under the sunroof). We went when it was 95 outside & it honestly had a nice breeze & felt great indoors. read more

We came around 2:15 on a Sunday there was about a 20 minute wait for a table outside. Service dogs only on the patio. We were a party of three. We got the kids fish and chips which is a steal. 2 pieces of fish and chips no slaw for $9. The regular menu is 3 pieces fish and chips and slaw for like $18 idk how that math works out. We got fish tacos the blacked rockfish with mango, and the bowl. Also got iced tea, Moscow mules and a vanilla ice cream. Get on the list before going for your walk. Lots of free parking. Customer service was decent. Again, you are paying for ambiance, and you know Seattle people love their outdoor dining in the summer and on nice sunny days. Tacos were solid. Fish and chips also highly recommend, if you can order off the kid menu. The fish for the salmon bowl was good. I was not thrilled by the quality of the salad, preference would be more leafy greens than end pieces of romaine. They can't do ice cream sundaes but if you want a scoop of ice cream for dessert it's a steal. read more

We love going to Anthony's Beach cafe. Whether it is sunny or rainy it is a cozy spot to dine. The view is always beautiful. As we Washingtonians know. Today was no exception. Started with a strawberry rhubarb margarita (blended of course). And some house bread and clam chowder. The chowder here is always a must! Today I had the tempura prawns and chips. The coleslaw was so good! Large shredded purple and green cabbage tossed with a surprisingly yummy sauce. Very fresh tasting. The prawns were nice with a light coating of tempura. Not heavy batter as they sometimes can be. Just enough fries to be able to share some with my husband! we enjoyed our waiter. Very nice and polite but not over the top friendly as some can be. Perfect Saturday evening dining get Enjoyed another evening of dining here on 9/12/19. We sat outside which I always love spending a late summer evening on the waterfront. It is interesting that the two times I have been here with my same girlfriend. It has ended in thunder and rain. The first time we had to duck inside with our food. My wife had lunch here and brought home Anthony's alleged lobster roll. This was essentially a hoagie filled with chopped iceberg lettuce (on a lobster roll?!) drowned in mayo with a very few bites of spiny Caribbean lobster drenched in tarragon. I do not consider this a lobster roll. It was a lettuce sandwich. It was gross and disgusting and I threw it in the garbage. I'm giving 2 stars in stead of 1 because my wife said she had fabulous fish tacos and great service. read more

Took a friend there for a lunch yesterday. We hadn't been there for a long time, and the café is pretty old and outdated. She ordered grilled cheese sandwich and clam chowder. The sandwich was very small, but she said it tasted good. The clam chowder was not good at all, no clams in it!! Was all heavy cream and not tasty. She also had an iced tea. I eat plant based so all I ordered was a side of fries. I asked for the fries to be well done which they were nice and crispy and they were tasty. I was shocked and disappointed when the bill came as it was $32 and like I said the clam chowder was not good at all and her sandwich was very small. Very disappointing and will not be going back to this place again. The waitress was very nice and pleasant. I guess my expectations were a little higher for this place when I first arrived in the parking lot. Then we got inside and it looked super old-fashion (no offense but where the elderly would like to come and eat). The decor seemed kind of outdated and tacky whereas the views were nice. As for the menu, everything seemed fairly priced and a good selection of seafood to burgers and more. We ordered the Ahi burger sliders plus fish and chips! The Ahi... sliders... I had to send back after "attempting" one bite because there was a good chunk of ... film-like layer in the fish. I think it might have been the tuna's veins or ligament?? Not sure.. our server gladly took it back and brought us a brand new order! Although my boyfriend ate of the sliders... and some fries, she brought us a whole new one and I would have been okay with replacing the one slider because now we ended up wasting some of the fries :( Next, the cod fish and chips? The portion was TINY for what we paid.. especially when we were walking out... I saw 3 plates of the same fish and chips ready to be served and their portions looked a lot bigger! Pros: our waitress was friendly, most of the food was tasty. Cons: my mother in law's two piece cod were super tiny. My baked cod was small as well. I actually went to the Everett location yesterday and got the same (lunch) meal and their portion was double the size in height. The caramelized sugar on top of my burnt creme (creme brûlée) dessert was soggy and soft as if it was day old. The custard did not taste fresh. I see why the Everett location has 4 stars on Yelp as their quality and quantity are superior. We won't return to this location due to the poor quantity of food. read more

Out of curiosity, I checked out other reviews since my original review a few months back. Beach Cafe is on a downward spiral. I strongly suggest that management take a hardline look and intervene before this once popular highly-rated restaurant hits rock bottom. Many restaurants respond to yelp reviews. This one refuses to reply. They may want to reconsider that policy. Diners can be unforgiving, once they are offended. Beach Cafe should adjust its prices, service and food quality or it may be one of those that becomes so unpopular that they slowly loose their customers' support. I will be checking back to see if the wait staff has improved in quality and quantity. Please see others comments. The ambiance has remained the same for at least 30 years and appears dated, but that is OK as long as it is in good repair and clean. read more

Came right when they opened for lunch on a Monday. Very quiet space and thankfully lots of room to be distanced from other parties. Lots of natural light as nearly all the walls are floor to ceiling windows. Depending on where you sit you can see into the kitchen which is an open concept. It's Father's Day weekend and when looking at the weather this weekend, we thought we would take advantage of the day before and try something new for us ... and by the water. We get bored with the same trip to Kirkland at times so we decided to head to Edmonds! We wanted to check out Anthony's Beach Cafe and so glad we did. We got there around 5 and didn't have reservations. We were greeted with a friendly smile and guests were waiting 6 feet away from another to check in. It was our turn to check in and the hostess said it would be about 25 minutes and we were totally okay with that. We wondered outside by the water which is super pretty and wanted to let our toddler run around too so she can be relaxed while we all try and eat. 15 minutes went by and they sent us a text! Off we went. Got a nice table outside. All tables are spaced. All servers are wearing masks, some with gloves which is nice to see. Our server was good. Not too attentive and a little forgetful with things but we could tell he was busy and that is okay. We were having fun. We started with calamari! Super good. Highly recommend! I got the mahi mahi tacos. Tasty as well but didn't care for the tortilla chips. You just get a few and wished they offered a different side if I'm honest! My husband got the fish and chips and those were delicious. Loved the lemon aioli- they don't have ranch but this tasted pretty close. Their tartar sauce is good too. I'm bummed I didn't take any pics! I wish I did. I only got one of the view. I will be back and will definitely take some! Side note: curious if the staff cleanses the check presenters and all the condiment bottles? The Beach Café is downstairs and although it has a smaller and different menu than it's big brother upstairs, Anthony's Homeport, the food is still up to standard. I would say the main pull of the Beach Café is it's location. While the food is fresh and tasty there are a lot of restaurants in the area that are on par, they just aren't located at the marina with a gorgeous view out their window. I ordered the Hawaiian Cobb Salad, I believe it was $18.00. My friend ordered Barbecued Garlic Prawns, they were $20. She loved her prawns, I loved my salad. My salad was fresh, large, well prepared and very flavorful. There was a generous amount of shrimp and bacon was well as mango and avocado on the salad. It was enough for me but I can imagine if I was really, really hungry, I'd want a cup of soup with it. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice, the view is beautiful and the service is good. Been going to Anthony's for years with the family growing up. Now that I'm all grown and have a family of my own we always make a trip down with the family for some great salad and seafood. Bread is always a hit. Caesar salads are always great and can't beat the shrimp and fish and chips. Service was good. And it has a great spot for kids to play out front if you have young ones. Mine are a little older now but I remember letting the kids play while the adults enjoyed the conversations. Great place. A must try if in Edmonds. read more

As I was visiting a friend she guided me to all the best places, in her opinion, in the Seattle area. Anthony's should absolutely be on your shortlist if you happen to visit. A beautiful view from a beautiful dining room is how I would describe it! The shrimp was so fresh it melted in my mouth, as I am from the Midwest it was so nice to have truly fresh seafood. Our wait person was clearly a veteran and attended to our table as though we were his only table (we were definitely not!). I've since learned that Anthony's is a stalwart seafood choice in the Seattle area and now that I have experienced it I would certainly have to agree. The views are worth the visit alone! This was the first time we met Anothoy and the Beach Cafe. We got there at dawn and were seated at a very beautiful view of the rising sun and sandbox. Service was a sloth the entire time and the sever didn't seem very enthusiastic. We ordered a caesar salad which was very scrumpdiddlyptious! We also got a lemonade which had a very distinct exquisite taste. In contrast the wild (some kind of wild) salmon was not cooked to my standards. It felt tough and chewy and didn't have the delightful taste I expected. It came with a yummy plate of buttery asparagus and crunchy soft potatoes. We waited about 30mn for a table outside, which didn't make any sense since we noticed quite a few empty tables. Maybe they didn't have enough wait staff? We were there tonight and it didn't start off well. Our first server was not cordial nor did she reciprocate our greetings even though she was friendly with everyone else in her section. I'm hypersensitive when it comes to good/bad service because I've worked in the retail and restaurant industry. My husband is a lot more level headed and even he felt uncomfortable by how she was treating us. It was so bad that we mutually decided to get a different server. Our second server Chelsea(sp?) was terrific. She checked on us as soon as she knew she was taking our table. She asked if we needed anything and brought our food shortly after. However, when I got my food something wasn't right with it. Long story short, it added to the initial situation and made it worse. I saw the manager approaching and had high hopes that perhaps she would apologize or try to appease the snowball happening. However she just dropped it off and moved on. Absolutely disappointing and our server could sense that something was wrong(again). She had the same manager come back the second time because at this point we were ready to leave and never look back. We've been long time patrons of this restaurant(I also used to work there) so our standards are high. Nicole(the manager) came back. My husband at this point had had enough and wasn't holding back. She explained that she didn't even know what happened with the initial server much less what happened with my food. We explained the situation and she understood why we were upset. She was apologetic and comped our meal(it was a nice gesture but not the point of why we wanted to speak to her). We tried to get through our dinner and not completely ruin our night. Chelsea was awesome and took great care of us. I'm really glad we ended up with her. Nicole was also lovely. She stayed calm and gracious and we really appreciated her time. We will be back again and make sure to ask for specific servers next time. We've learned our lesson. read more
