I tried this restaurant because I had a Groupon and I guess I should have ordered the wings, which people rave about, because everything else was sub par. Basically it's a from the freezer to the fryer establishment. The buffalo Chicken sandwich as bland and oh my I could barely find the once frozen chicken patty under the lettuce, which was fresh. McDonald's $1.00 spicy chicken was better. The cheese burger ordered medium was small, dry and flavorless. The regular fries tasted stale but the sweet potato fries although no fresh cut were OK. read more

I was going to give this place 3 stars, but the most important thing to me when I go out to eat is the food and theirs is pretty good. There is no AC and it's not very pretty inside. The guy at the counter was kind of rude. He rolled his eyes at me because I did't hear him correctly. The food was't the best I've ever had but it was tasty and the chicken seemed to be high quality. Jen is the owner, bathrooms are for one person at a time, Jen has been the owner for 15+ yrs and the people who work there has been there for ever. So if you don't drink it must be drugs.. Their fried chicken is pretty good. The macaroni, potato & coleslaw salads are terrible! You get store bought dinner rolls which just aren't good. It is too pricey for fried chicken but it's better than KFC. read more

Went here for lunch around 12:00 and the place was pretty empty. The decor was typical and bland, but there is plenty of seating. I got the cheese steak and my cousin got the wings (both mild and extra-hot). The cheesteak was bland and pretty typical for a place like this. Did not expect much more. The mild wings on the other hand were pretty good, they had a nice crunch and the sauce was tangy and slightly hot. And then there was the EXTRA-HOT WINGS....I could not even take a bite out of them because after licking the sauce my mouth, lips, and surrounding skin felt like they were bitten by FIRE ANTS! These wings are as hot as Mila Kunis, and I would stay away from them unless you really like EXTRA-HOT (they mean it). This place was pretty pricey with the cheese steak costing around$8.50 and the wings were also fairly expensive. Don't forget to CHECK-IN on Yelp to get $5 off you purchase of $30 or more. read more

I absolutely agree with nadav b's review had a very similar experience to his. And was totally outraged with the level of disrespect as well as the stupid high prices that came along with the pleasurable experience. I am still sitting scratching my head wondering how they are still in business with how they treat their customers and how small their wings are. Absolutely the worst delivery I have ever had. It took over an hour to get the food. Then the fun begins with the worst wings I have ever seen. 14 wings and all I could feel for weight was the cheap styrofoam they came in. The sauce was everywhere except on the wings. The onion rings were burnt. And the fish and chips were frozen triangles straight out of the frozen food section at stop and shop. Anthony should be ashamed of the product he's putting out there. Just went to Anthony's yesterday with my husband. We stop there every time we go visit our granddaughter. They have the best wings on the planet and great salads. The blue cheese dressing is the real deal too. I like the fact that the place is so clean and the owner takes to time to make sure everyone is happy. I used to go to Anthony's years ago under past management and the Buffalo wings were fabulous. I had business south of Hightstown this past Thursday, September 4, 2014 and decided to have Anthony's wings for the first time in about 20 years. What a shock..... new management that made wings the size of hummingbird wings....... I got the 7 piece and the seven wings combined may have had the weight of one wing from a reputable place. The buffalo sauce was all oil, probably soy oil and tobasco. I will never go back again and I recommend you don't either! These guys are crooks!!!!!!!! read more

I have eaten at Anthony's several times since my original review. The service and delivery is always pleasant. But the food is always just alright. I haven't really gotten anything that was better than mediocre. And it is getting to the point where I've tried just about everything on the menu. I believe the best thing for your tastebuds is the fried chicken dinner (not the chicken fingers). Unfortunately, it's pretty far from being the best thing for your health. So I plan on cooling my ordering down some, because unfortunately they don't seem to have too much of a healthy alternative. And I'm kind of leary about ordering a salad from the neighborhood fried chicken joint. read more

The wings are the smallest wings I have seen in my life. They look like from a quail and are at most 2" long. I have to say they were tasty, but 14 wings is so much work for barely any meat. The other dishes we ordered were all tasty. Overall was good but a bit pricey for what we got. read more

I was in town for business and decided to just order in to the hotel, I ordered a jersey hoagie and 14 hot wings. It was Saturday night and when the guy on the phone told me half an hour I figured it would take longer, food showed up after about an hour, the deliver guy was nice, when I opened my sub I noticed they placed paper in between the hoagie to try and keep the bread from getting soggy I assume, was still a little soggy but not bad, being delivery they can only do so much, the sub was good, fresh meat and veggies, could use hotter peppers though, the wings were definitely on the small side, a couple of them ridiculously small, if they had slightly larger wings they would be perfect, but they we're tasty, being from Buffalo I know a good wing sauce and it was good. Sometimes you order hot wings and they barely register mild, these guys did it right, I was sweating! They definitely hook you up with a large portion of Bleu cheese too! Anthonys rotisserie chicken dipped in their homemade hot sauce, is one of my favorite things in the world. Ill admit I havent tried anything else, but who needs to! I love their wing sauce, its fantastic. LOVE this food! They deliver though and I wish I could order it for delivery. The one girl who brought it to us one time (blonde curly hair, loud annoying voice) literally WALKED IN OUR HOUSE while she was handing us food! Then started talking to my children telling us stories about her two kids! mind you, this girl looks like she MIGHT be 21, and she was telling me our children should get together for a play date!? It took me forever to shoo her out the door and even then I was afraid she was going to come back. Unbelievable! I want to order food from here so badly, but have avoided it because the last thing I want is her in the house again (delivery wise) if we do get delivery we just get maninnoes now.
