It's been many years since I've been to Anthony's, so having a few pies catered was a real treat. I had a large slice of the Burrata & Prosciutto pie, and now I'm obsessed. It had burrata, prosciutto, red onions, basil, Mike's Hot Honey, and a very good balsamic glaze. This isn't normally the type of pizza I would order, but all of those flavors worked so well together, and it was so delicious. Beautiful ambiance- great location- smells amazing - service fantastic- but the pizza left me wanting flavor- I got the build your own and maybe that's why- chicken, meatball, extra cheese and kamalata olive. Looks beautiful but the crust didn't get me to say "I must eat this crust no matter the carbs" and in this area- so many pizza places remind me of Italys pizza. Recently, I had a surprise 80th birthday party for my husband at Anthony Coal Fire Pizza in Delray Beach. The manager Enzo was the best at helping me organize this party, and very patient with my many calls. Andrew our server was right there making sure my guest had their drinks and food. The food was absolutely delicious like it usually is but they were right there making sure my guest had everything they needed. Everybody raved about the pizza, chicken wings and Italian salad. SOOOOOO GOOD and just how I remember it! It has been about 2 decades since I have dined at Anthony's, but you never forget those chicken wings with the sauteed onions. You never forget the pizza with the burnt parts underneath from the coal fire. We went here for a family dinner since it was in walking distance to the Courtyard Marriott and because they offered outdoor dining. It was such a lovely night to sit outside and enjoy the sunset. We ordered a large salad which was plenty for 4 people, 6 garlic knots (so yum!), Side of meatballs (My son said they are better than his grandma's--ut oh!), 20 wings classic style with the sauteed onions (SO DAMN GOOD!), and 2 classic cheese pizzas. This was WAY more than enough food for 6 of us. We had almost a whole pie to bring home. I wish I could have eaten more because it was just so good! Sat at the bar, service sucked, more focused on doing side work to close up than checking on my Togo order that I ordered with her. Finally I went to the host stand got my own Togo items that had been sitting there. I ordered a ranch with the bartender, of course that was missing. Had to ask the hostess (hostess was a delight and very accommodating) for it. I had already been sitting at the bar for 15 minutes before someone even came up to greet. Food is great, but they obliviously don't have their front of house worked out. And if the bartender has somewhere to be on a Friday night maybe she shouldn't work that shift. read more

The best thing about Delray's Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza is their free and easy parking especially with the difficulty of parking in or around downtown Delray. If anyone is coming beachside it's even better because it's possible to avoid Atlantic Ave all together. Unfortunately after I parked it was all downhill. When we walked in the host just handed us menus and told us to sit ourselves and that's something I've never experienced before and to make matters worse no one had cleaned tables and the only available space was between messy tables and those tables stayed that way for much of our dinner. Clearly this place either lacks managerial oversight or a manager. We ordered many different items and each one was worse than the next and with so many awful choices it was hard to decide which was the worst. Meatballs were over salted and we left these. A nice looking pizza disappointed and was also left but then we made the mistake of ordering a few pastas dishes and I suppose Anthony's bottomed out with these. I guess it was dumb to order Shrimp Scampi from a pizza chain and after one bite I regretted it. The shrimp were poor quality and the pasta wasn't much better. The service was very nice and drinks were fine and besides the convenient parking those are the only positives I can think of and that elevates the rating to two stars. read more

One always has a fantastic restaurant experience when getting together with dear friends whom you had the pleasure of knowing for close to three decades. Especially when they visit within an hour plus from you, yet you dread to drive through South Florida traffic to North Miami area. Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza & Wings in Delray Beach turned out to be the ideal half way point, with a menu that served well for both parties on that blazing Friday 4pm, June 7th, 2024. Could not have asked for a exceptional waiter in Adam who gave us the lowdown on the best outside seating area, well shaded from the brutal late afternoon sun. When its time to eat, where and how comfortably you sit is vital. And with the best seating you are able to enjoy two flavored yet strong Basil Limone Gin & Tonic specialty cocktail (Aviation Gin, Limoncello, Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic, Lemon Juice, Basil). The beverage menu is easy on the eye and not overwhelming, with 10 specialty cocktails to chose from along with 8 bottled beer selections, 5 draft selections, 2 sangria selections, 9 red wine selections and 8 rose/white wine selections, at participating locations. The food menu was equally compact, going over it once to make an informed choice of dish. From Coal Fired starters we naturally chose their 10 piece signature roasted chicken wings (original flavor with savory caramelized onions) and large (enough for the four of us) Broccoli Rabe & Sausage, richly smothered in garlic and olive oil, as seen below in the attached photos! The accompanying focaccia bread dipped into the BRS, the bread, garlic and olive oil combo, is a flavor winner. The last time we met up was on a cold December 2022 evening in New York City. Now a year half later catching up in sunny Delray Beach, on wings, pasta and pizza. My friends were visiting North Miami area to scout for a tennis academy for their son, eventually settling for a reputable academy in Texas. In between. They compassionately inquired how my family and I were faring following the passing of my father in June 2023. The meaningful conversation gave us time to enjoy the starters and comfortably choose the entrees. Once again Adam was generously patient while we threw our suggestions at him. We ultimately ordered the Tuna Focaccia or Italian Tuna Salad Sandwich (tuna salad seasoned with lemon and olive oil made from Anthony's grandmother's recipe is piled between homemade focaccia bread and topped with tomatoes and arugula and drizzled with homemade Italian dressing), Fettuccine Alfredo (featuring fettuccine pasta tossed in a sauce made from butter, heavy cream, and grated Parmesan cheese) and from their coal fired pizza selection the small 12 inch Paulie's Pizza (flavor-filled pizza is topped with homemade baby meatballs, Italian sausage, hot or sweet peppers and ricotta cheese). And yes we we served Focaccia bread. Rest assured we ate and shared heartily. Depends on who asking or who is eating, we had a fabulous time at Anthony's. And yes their Pizza offerings are authentic and delicious. As of 2025 Anthony's was awarded (7.23.25) Newsweek Reader's Choice Best Pizza Chain in the United States. They have 50 locations in 6 states, with I believe, 18 locations in Florida. Whoever goes there, you will have to decide for yourself if that is so! read more

This restaurant never disappoints. Our lovely waitress, Tammy was so attentive . She made sure that no grated Romano was on our pizza. We requested flats for our chicken wings and she said , No problem . Tried the eggplant for the first time and that was so good !! We went here for my son's birthday. We ordered a big salad, wings- regular and honey glazed and a pizza 1/2 with meatballs and half with onions and prosciutto. We had very good service and it was a pleasant visit. I had major trouble with their app and the manager promised that he would call me to go over it today to make sure there was a work around. However, I never got a call. That's not good when you don't follow through what you tell the customer. Now I will need to do the legwork to find out how I can get my rewards for my meal . Don't wast your time. Ordered salad and small pizza, salad came, no pizza after waiting 45 minutes with my wife, still NO PIZZA. This place is so blah. Blah service blah pizza which was very WET like cheese sliding off and water pooled under ontop of the dough eww??? this is not a good choice for a pizza night. The pepperoni were good but they are so stingy some slices didn't even have one piece like COME ON... don't get me started on the broccoli rabe chicken sandwich...you can see in the photo the amount of rosemary dumped all over it trying to cover up some sort of rotten flavor. Waitress asked me when I sent it it was if it was "just because the broccoli rabe was bitter" nope! Just tasted like a dirty sink! This is a great place for families or big groups [tables of 6+] and they have parking! Inside was very noisy. Outside was much less noisy and they had heaters, so it was comfortable. We had no trouble getting a table without a reservation. The service was poor - no refills of drinks and I had to go find the server to remind her we were missing a beverage and something else we ordered. The salads were large and fresh. The pizza wasn't my cup of tea. It was round and cut up into squares. I haven't been here in many years and recall the crust used to seem charred, it wasn't. read more

Cute pizza place that is slightly off the ave so it's a little quieter than the hustle and bustle a few blocks away. They've got outdoor seating and it is covered so we came here when it was raining. They just got new ownership so I got a coupon to try it. The meat and flavors on the pizza were great, the garlic knots were huge but I wish they came with a sauce to dip into. This restaurant has such a lackluster interior, it feels like you are walking into a poor approximation of a pizza themed restaurant in a foreign country. Terrible furnishing, clumsy layout, meager bar, and wall decor you wouldn't even find in a bankrupt Bed Bath and Beyond. And yet! The pizza is Really Very Good, especially in Florida where really very good pizza is not easy to find. We got three pies and they were all delicious. What's more, the service is impeccable. Despite having a large party of cantankerous people we were handled with perfection and grace. It was easily the standout experience of our week in Florida. After passing by a few thousand times, my husband and I decided to have an early bird dinner while our kids were out at a local place to play for a few hours. We sat outside and looked over the menu to decide what to order. Our waitress came over with our drinks and we were able to do a half and half pizza since each wanted something completely different. It rained and we were able to enjoy it under the covered outside seating area. They have covers to pull down to help block the rain from blowing in at times. The warmth of the garlic knots helped with the chilliness of the weather. It won't be long until it's sunny and hot again! One half of our pizza was margherita and the other half was carnivori. The margherita had mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, basil, and romano cheese while the carnivori did not shy away from bacon, meatballs, and Italian sausage. The small pie consisted of six pieces and it was enough to enjoy without filling ourselves up too much. The service was a breeze and we didn't have to wait long for the food to come out.
