    Meatballs and Ricotta

I realized that I had in fact reviewed this Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza when I worked in the area. Recently, a lfriend and I had a chance to stop by for a lazy Sunday casual dinner and have to say it still is a great place to eat. Disclaimer the only reason I'm holding off from the fifth star is because we only had one pizza dish But I can see how I can become reacquainted with this place again when I want to "mangiare". As I mentioned before, it is located in the Royal Oaks Plaza, right on Miami Lakes Dr. and thus there a good amount of parking. My friend got in a little bit before I did, and she was able to secure us a table within line of sight of the TVs showing a football playoff. Our waiter was helpful in helping us find our wine selection (her Pino and my moscato). Yes, I am on my white wine era. We decided to share the eight-slice meatball and ricotta pizza. The crust had a nice crisp to it and was served with the right amount of heat to be tasty, and lots of eponymous mozzarella & meatball bits. There's also a good amount of marinara sauce baked in. The slices were big enough that we were able to get a bunch for takeout and have lunch ready today. The [[HIGHLIGHT]]tables are set up mostly for family style dining or individual tables instead of booths, but we were still able to get comfortable and watch the game (ro[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]oting for the "team who breaks tables" instead of "Taylor's boyfriend" lol). Although the football score turned out opposite of what we would've liked, we had a good time and appreciate that servers weren't chasing us out. All and all, I would still recommend Anthony"s for a casual pizza night in Miami Lakes.

Last week I stopped here on my way home. I got a small house salad with 6 garlic rolls and a slice of cheesecake. I wasn't in the mood for pizza. I phoned in my order and the lady was pleasant. When I picked up my order it was ready and I was in and out of there fast. My salad was delicious. I find the salads to be fresh at all their locations, whether I dine in or take out. My rolls were very good but could have used more garlic. The amount of garlic was skimpy. My cheesecake was good. I think the garlic roll taste might have altered the deliciousness of the cheesecake, it is usually better. That's ok. I was pleased overall with my food. I think of them as being fairly priced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not inexpensive but a great place to go with your family and not break the bank.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Let's talk about it. I'm not sure what happened to this place. They were a go to for thin crust pizza, nice almost burnt undercarriage, nice crisp, and no flop. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was just very underwhelming. It tastes like they got the crust from a new frozen vendor. The pizza was soggy and the air fryer couldn't bring it back to life either. It's really lost its touch. We ordered the pizza to go so we didn't really interact with the staff and made the order online.

You literally cannot go wrong with Anthony's pizza! Tried and true pizza place! I always get the meatball ricotta and it never disappoints! This time I noticed they added a new ceasar salad to the menu and it was delicious! The miami lakes location can get pretty busy and this day was no exception during lunch hour so we sat at the bar. The server was very friendly and quick.

Efficient online ordering. I thought a $21 pizza for one was a bit pricey but it was well worth the quality and fed me for 2 meals. It tasted just as great the next day with their handy reheating instructions on the box. I couldn't help but start snacked on the drive home

The staff here is welcoming and friendly. You almost feel like you're making pizza at home. The food is great and comes out very fast. If you're hungry or in a rush, this is your place. We were probably in and out in 45 minutes or so with appetizers and all.

I'm 9 months pregnant and beyond worried that I ate food from Anthony's coal that had mold in it! This is incredibly AWEFUL. When I reached out to the restaurant, they tried to make up for it by offering me an XL pizza. COMPLETE INSULT.

Pizza was decent. Tried the new hot honey. Oddly didn't enjoy it hot but when it was cold I did. Would def come back to try a more traditional pizza next time I'm in Miami.

First time here! And I live in the area- I'm so glad I finally decided to try this place out. As soon as we saw the menue I thought it was a bit pricey, butttt you definitely pay for what you get! So darn good. We order the wings. So delicious and fresh!! Also we shared a pizza it was huge. We were a party of 4. We got the carnivori pizza It has pepperoni, Italian sausages and baby meatballs so delish. Highly recommend. It's square cut as well. Berry sangria very refreshing with delicious fresh fruit. We will definitely be coming again.

Twenty seven USD for a small Caprese gluten free pizza is robbery. We love this place. But the prices are astronomical.

Waaaay too overpriced for pizza. Not worth $30 for a 16 inch mushroom and pepperoni pizza.

Watching it being prepared fresh in the wheel and then tasting the rich, creamy flavor made it one of the best pasta dishes we've ever had. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and every detail of the experience showed how much pride the restaurant takes in delivering exceptional service. A special thank you goes to our server, Franciely, who truly went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we had the best possible experience. She took the time to answer our questions, checked on us frequently without being intrusive, and made us feel like valued guests throughout the entire meal. Her warmth, professionalism, and hospitality are exactly what great customer service should look like. By some struck of luck we had Bianca as our wheel chef, again. Months ago, when we first visited Divieto Doral, Bianca was our first wheel chef to prepare our pasta, and seeing her once again brought back great memories of that first experience. Her skill, enthusiasm, and attention to detail made the cheese wheel presentation just as impressive as we remembered. But the all star Franciely's exceptional service, and the outstanding food, it is clear that Divieto Doral is filled with amazing employees who genuinely care about their guests. The entire team helped create an unforgettable dining experience, and we cannot wait to come back. I really and truly want to to make sure my point gets across when I say "this place has been amazing to us every time we come, it's been part of the relationship me and my wife have and I truly enjoy this place". They hosted one of our first date, they hosted our valentines, and they have hosted our wedding dinner. Thank you so much to this location and its staff for everything and for the great memories. And yes... we made a reservation for next week and we plan to request Franciely! CANT WAIT TO BE BACK!

Everyone has garlic knots on tables that look and smell amazing. However, they're a little hard due to probably being the oven longer and using the same pizza dough. We started with a white pizza that generally was good. Ricotta was smothered then topped with mozzarella. No garlic, oregano or EVOO so it seemed little too careless what could have been stellar pie. Meatballs were huge covered in red sauce and were nicely seasoned. Pastas were a little under-seasoned, huge portions that pooled water. Could have been a drained more carefully or sauces thicker. A few more teaspoons of parsley or a bit of fresh grated Parmesan would have elevated them. Veal Parm entree on the menu was crispy but smothered with mozzarella. It was a generous portion but it would have been great to get more of the contrasted breaded texture. Mussels seemed older than necessary and had a strong aroma. Asiago Gnocchi was a huge predominantly white plate filled with probably 24-30 dumplings. Drink menu had a lot of creative cocktails. Prices were very reasonable and the place gets busy with groups and families. Service was great and quick and the old timers made you feel at home.

My husband is originally from New York, so we're always excited to find places that remind us of home. The kids loved it so much that they insisted we come back--and today we did. At the counter, we were asked if our order was for dine-in or takeout, and I chose takeout. After waiting about 20 minutes for the food, the kids were hungry and my husband was ready to eat, so we decided to eat there instead. After finishing, we asked for a smaller box to take our leftovers and were told we had to pay for it because a box had already been given. The way it was said came across with a clear attitude, which was completely unnecessary. While the food is still good, the service was unacceptable. The staff--particularly the girls working that day--were unfriendly, unwelcoming, and made simple requests feel like an inconvenience. When I first walked in, I was greeted by one of the servers. She spoke to me in Spanish and based on my response to her question, quickly switched to English. She sat me at a two-top. At first glance of the restaurant, it was decent size. They were doing construction around the entrance where the bar was, so it kind of took away from the appeal. While I've never commented on this before, I noticed my water and wine glass were so streaky. They weren't see through like usual but def. could have been cleaned/rinsed more. After being sat, I was given water and some focaccia crackers. While I loved the idea, the crackers were impossible to "dip" and made the oil pointless. For drinks, I went with the passionfruit margarita. They had a few cocktails to choose from, but this has been my go-to as of late. It was pretty good but nothing to write home about. As a starter, I went with the Cuban Caesar and for my main, I chose the pesto pasta and added chicken. The Cuban Caesar was easily one of the best I've had! I loved that it came in a Parmesan bowl and the yuca croutons were different but good! The croutons were a weird contrast because the salad was so cold and then you have these hot pillowy croutons with a weird texture. Regardless, I give the salad a 10/10. The pesto pasta was great; super rich but unfortunately, not much else. The chicken didn't have any seasoning and I almost wish I hadn't paid an additional $6 for it. The service was great and although they weren't that busy, I still believe it would have have still been good. Overall, I had a great time here and I may come back next time I'm in town.
