I visited this location about a month ago with my kids after going to the movies, and the food was excellent. My husband is originally from New York, so we're always excited to find places that remind us of home. The kids loved it so much that they insisted we come back--and today we did. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment. From the moment we walked in, there was no greeting or acknowledgment from the staff. At the counter, we were asked if our order was for dine-in or takeout, and I chose takeout. After waiting about 20 minutes for the food, the kids were hungry and my husband was ready to eat, so we decided to eat there instead. After finishing, we asked for a smaller box to take our leftovers and were told we had to pay for it because a box had already been given. The way it was said came across with a clear attitude, which was completely unnecessary. While the food is still good, the service was unacceptable. The staff--particularly the girls working that day--were unfriendly, unwelcoming, and made simple requests feel like an inconvenience. It completely ruined what should have been a nice family outing and left a bad impression, especially since I was excited to bring my husband back. read more

This place has been here for a long time, but it was my first time and the pizza there is really good. We ordered a large pizza, garlic bread sticks and the garlic spaghetti and everything was delicious. The service was pretty quick, although we needed to wait for the pizza to be baked. They have seating on the side so you can sit and eat your pizza. I'd come back again. read more

Rewind! After dancing and drinking nearby, as well as tapas earlier in the evening, my friend and I were hungry and needed something to soak up the drinks. We managed to pop in right before closing time and picked up a couple of to go slices. My friend had a slice of mushrooms and me of course Hawaiian. The crust had a nice crisp to it, and it was well seasoned with ham and pineapple. My only complaint is it could've used a little more marinara sauce. Since it was closing time, we couldn't be inside, but did snag a table outside on the main street plaza to people watch. They are located right on Main Street and loved that they were able to expand the shop to have seating for guests. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I have been a customer of this establishment since childhood and have never previously had an issue. However, during my visit today, I experienced extremely poor customer service. Upon entering, I was not acknowledged at all and stood at the counter waiting to place an order. One employee had her back turned to me, while another remained at the pizza station engaged in conversation with a young man who did not appear to be an employee. Interestingly, he was the only person who acknowledged my presence. Eventually, the employee at the pizza station asked what I wanted to order, doing so from across the counter and with a noticeably dismissive tone. When I asked whether she would be taking my order so I could pay, she replied that she would make it instead--again, in a rude and unprofessional manner. The other employee then finally turned around. By this point, I was already frustrated by the lack of basic courtesy, so I calmly asked about the attitude I was receiving. Both employees became defensive, denied having any attitude, and responded in an even more disrespectful manner. As a result, I chose to leave rather than continue the interaction. As I was walking out, the employee at the register shouted "Happy holidays" in a clearly passive-aggressive tone, along with additional remarks I did not catch. Good to know some things remain the same, could remember coming as a kid with my mom, friends and dates and just the atmosphere made you look like the superhero amongst the group if it was their first time there. Now since I came here to watch the first teenage ninja turtles it was a must to get a pizza slice. And through the years and the scene has changed outside, it's good to know the pizza scene inside remains the same. It took 70 minutes. Ten minutes later than promised. I arrived to the Pizza 45 minutes after I ordered it and the manager told me that they were just putting it in the oven. The pizza wasn't fully cooked as the crust was so flimsy that all of the toppings fell off. Also the manager was rude. She told the cashier right from of me. "He can't wait there" like I'm a child. I don't think many people know about place but this location is located in Miami lakes, Main Street and they serve amazing New York Style Pizza. I recommend eating the pizza fresh on the spot because it's nice and crisp and you'll be able to tell how fresh and good a slice really is compared to taking it home. Their beef ravioli is really good and that's if you're up for a heavy meal. They have many options on their menu including calzones and other pasta dishes too. Their garlic rolls are to die for lol. Pizza Scene was one on those places, that I would go out of my way because I considered them very close to New York pizza.
