Tony's place is a childhood staple of mine! Super yummy pizza and cozy environment :) I love this place dearly

The food and service leave much to be desired, and this place has gone downhill in recent years. The staff and atmosphere used to be more inviting with better pizza. Every now and again, they'd make small mistakes like missing toppings that we would overlook, but lately the mistakes keep getting bigger... like including extra tomato sauce for someone that can't tolerate their acidic red pizza base. During this recent visit, we did not get the white pizza we ordered for someone who wanted a hearty, post-surgery pizza. We felt Tony's, a local spot that our family has visited often, would be the right place. When we got the wrong food order, we politely asked to just get the correct pizza. We simply wanted to replace a fully uneaten pizza that came wrong for the right one. Instead, the owner/manager decided to gaslight and argue with us in a rude manner rather than get the original order right. This is unacceptable. It's a shame since our family regularly ordered from here for the last few years. We accept that every now and again food orders may be wrong because we're all human and make mistakes... but, insulting customers over your restaurant's mistakes is unacceptable. No one's asking for free pizza here, just to get the correct order that they paid for. Until things improve, if they ever, I can't recommend this place. read more

I would like to say that this is my actual first time giving a review .I went to Tony's Place for the first time 13 years ago for my high school ring ceremony.And after that I never went again because I simply forgot the name of the restaurant .But I never forgot how authentic and delicious the food was.Fast forward to this past Sunday me and my husband were craving Italian food and I started looking on this app for places near by and the moment I saw the picture of the place it all came back to me.We showed up at 8pm and it was empty,and idk why because just like the first time I went it was divine.Very cozy ,old school, nostalgic environment.Lovely and attentive staff.The bathroom was super clean and needles to say the food over delivered our expectations.My toddler is a picky eater and he ate a whole plate of spaghetti and meatballs.Today right before I was about to start cooking my husband called me and said my love I'm on the way home.And I want Tony's again.Is just too good. read more

My man and I loved the feeling of home that this restaurant gives and the people who work there are the sweetest, ever. Loved everything so much we didn't even wait to take pictures of our food. I have been going to Tony's for over 20 years. It is a family owned business that offers great pizza, the best pasta e fagioli soup you could ever have. Their dinners are fresh and delicious. I had to work on Labor Day and was hungry after leaving "the cow field". I hadn't had Italian food in awhile and looked for a spot here in the Hialeah / Miami Lakes area I hadn't checked out before. Their menu seemed to have all of the staples in place so off I went. It's in a strip mall tucked away in the residential heart of PSN (aka North Miami Lakes) and next to a Peruvian restaurant. It's a family owned restaurant, similar to my favorite fancier place down by the Miami River, and supposedly has been open for over 40 years. With the wood paneling decoration, I believe it's been open that long. Due to That Which Shall Not Be Named, they have reduced space in the dining room. Who I believe was the owner / owner's wife pointed me over to a table and I glanced the menu. My waitress brought out a sizeable tray of garlic rolls to my table, but no balsamic vinegar. Still, the rolls were warm, fluffy and not excessively garlicky (I ask for them this way, so a win!) They didn't have caprese salad, so I started my meal with their pasta fagioli soup (3/5). My main was their chicken parm with spaghetti. The pasta had a generous helping of rich Marinara sauce, really hearty. The chicken breast, while tasty, could have used a little more sauce though. It tasted mostly just like regular breaded chicken (3.5/5) The cannoli I had for dessert, topped with chocolate chips and a sweet cream was the highlight (5/5). I don't know how many other employees they had but service was why I'm keeping this at 3 stars. Service was slow, and I waited a little bit before being attended to again despite just one more table there. All in all, not bad if you're in the area or a quick lunch but I didn't get a fancy dinner vibe. read more

FINALLY! A good pizza spot that hits the spot. Please do yourselves a favor and try their Heart Healthy pizza and ask for it "well done." Don't be fooled by its name, this is Tony's version of a margherita and their twist is adding fresh garlic. JUST WOW! I really feel like I've unlocked a secret menu item here, any friend or relative who gives it a try is now hooked. I love these family owned local restaurants that have been part of the community for years. No frills, just great food at a good value. So glad to have amazing alternatives to the generic pizza chains that just never taste good. We love Tony's! read more

MAMÁ MÍA had to be the best Ziti I had in a while. Try the Ziti with the meat sauce. My mouth is watering just thinking about it I MOST DEFINITELY will coming here again! Don't get fooled by the heckler reviews here there was no sense of entitlement here super friendly environment. Service was outstanding. If you live in PSN, then you know about Tony's. It's been around for as long as I can remember and I jumped at the chance to take my husband to our local pizza spot. It's a small restaurant so expect a wait. Their garlic knots are perfectly crispy and garlicky. YUM. I usually keep it simple and get their cheese pizza. I grew up in PSN and this was my favorite and still is my favorite restaurant. My Aunt worked there in the 70's and my brother worked there in the 80's. Best food and the garlic rolls. No restaurant can ever come close. Pasta and the pizza is another must have while there or delivery. Thank You and will be back again!! read more

I've lived in the Miami Lakes area for over 20 years, but it wasn't until recently that I visited Tony's place. I usually end up it different restaurant around town or farther away snd had never gone to this local business. This is an authentic small mom and pops Italian restaurant that was pleasantly impressive. The food was really delicious! I've had the pasta fagioli soup, so delicious. The pizza is great, cheese ravioli was very good and the fettuccine Alfredo was amazing! I've been back a few times and also ordered for pick up. I'm glad we have this little gem near by. read more

I have to say this joint has been open for years! And for good reasons. They are family owned and have amazing meat sauce manicotti. Seriously best manicotti I've had ever. This is the second time I come here for the same meal. We also had their garlic rolls with cheese on top and I asked for a side of marinara sauce. The meat pizza we asked for was also delicious. The service is here is unapologetically bad. Here's my story. I placed an order for pick up at 6:20. 45 minutes, so it'll be ready at 7:05. I'm standing in line to pick up my order at 7:06 on the dot. I'm standing in line for about ten minutes at 7:15 when they tell me my order is only now just going in the oven and that it will take about twenty minutes. Okay. I should have been very upset at that point, but I'm usually pretty calm, so instead of making a fuss I say it's okay. I go to the parking lot and wait in my car for twenty minutes because it wasn't worth it to go home and come back. Okay. It's 7:35 now and I go back into the store to pick up my order. Reminder that this order should have been ready at about 7:05. As usual, the place is packed. There's only one person charging the orders, taking the orders over the phone, and handing the orders to the customers waiting. As you can imagine, nobody is getting any sort of individual attention. She's constantly multitasking and giving only about half attention to any one individual at a time. They're so busy they really should have another person on staff. The eight or so bucks it costs an hour is nothing but would be huge for customer satisfaction, I think. Especially since, by what it looked like to me, I wasn't the only one who was kept waiting. The customer service is bad, at best. Anyway. I'm waiting in line for about another 5-10 minutes just waiting to pick up my order. It's finally about 7:45 when my order comes out. I ordered two pizzas and garlic rolls. The pizzas were out but the rolls were not. As I'm paying, I tell the sweet looking older lady at the counter, and I'll try to quote this as closely as possible: "Hey I know stuff happens, but it would be nice to get some heads-up when the orders are going to be 40 minutes late so that I'm not hanging around just waiting." Her response, which is still shocking to me, was something to the effect of "Oh sorry I don't really know [something something] about the orders." That was odd to me since she's literally taking all the orders, but okay. She followed: "It would be nice to know if the customers are coming in or not." I honestly had no idea what she meant by that. Maybe she was saying that sometimes customers place orders and then don't actually come in to pick them up? I have no idea. Now she said all this in a very pleasant, sincere tone of voice. But let's be clear that when you have a customer upset in front of you and who is calmly presenting issues to you, that is an entirely inappropriate response. I don't know for certain, but I'm fairly confident she's also the owner. Obviously I'm upset about the wait (reminder that I placed the order at 6:20, should have been ready at 7:05 when I showed up, and I left the doors with my order at about 7:45-50), but what I'm most upset about is the complete and utter lack of remorse or even concern about a customer who's justifiably dissapointed with your objectively bad service. In my opinion, this is a place that gets so much business that it no longer cares about the basic virtues of keeping customers happy. But they absolutely just lost my business going forward. Their pizza is good, there's no question about it. But it's not out of this world, and it's not worth the price and service (I ordered two large pizzas, both with three toppings, and a dozen garlic rolls--i paid $48, which is overpriced, even considering that the pizza is good). An order that was that expensive and took over an hour and a half to finally get, with a good chunk of that time spent standing or waiting in my car. Sorry, I almost feel bad leaving this review, but that's just insulting to the customer. read more

The moment you enter into this restaurant, the atmosphere is very relaxing and cozy. Every time I've dined here, for the most part, there is never a crowd. The pizza here is good. And I like to order the chicken parm, which is a good size. The garlic rolls are tasty, as well. The service is good and they are attentive. I would recommend this place if you want to escape the normal restaurant crowds. read more

Tony's has been a staple of PSN for many years! As soon as you walk in you immediately feel at home with the owner's wife working the front and her husband making the pies in the back.
