I had the absolute worst experience with the blonde woman behind the counter at Anthony's high-tech auto when my daughter's car was totaled and towed. This woman had absolutely no patience, kept cutting me off. I was visibly upset with the situation, missing paperwork, I didn't understand the law, I had no experience dealing with this, but this woman made me feel so bad, I ended up having to hang up on her because she was yelling at me so loud on the phone about disrespecting her. This company was a AAA response for a damaged tire. I had felt a bump and heard thwump-thwump-thwump, so I pulled over and saw a large construction screw jammed in my tire. I pulled into a parking lot and called AAA because I didn't want to drive in busy traffic and break down, or cause an accident. When the Anthony's Hightech Auto tow truck driver arrived, he was rude, lazy, and would not put my spare on. He said the spare needed air. I thought a AAA response truck for a damaged tire would be prepared for a damaged tire. The AAA website has a list of items, and 'flat tire' was the closest to my problem (not battery, not lockout, not out of gas, not a collission, etc). So they knew in advance it was a tire. The guy had so much arrogant attitude and said I should drive the car myself to Town Fair Tire because the tire wasn't hissing yet. I told him the light on the dash was on for 'tire', but he would not even look at it. I told him I didn't feel good about driving in busy traffic with the damaged tire. After about 10 minutes of his 'attitude' and lack of help, I ended up sending him away and found another way to deal with it. It was a shock to have a AAA response from such a rude, unhelpful place. But again, this was not the company AAA told me they were sending. I don't know the AAA backstory. Overall, this company should not handle AAA calls if they don't like providing service to people. read more

If I could rate this place below one star I would. Never in my life have I been disrespected, gaslight, belittled, discriminated in the way I was in this establishment. I went to help TRANSLATE for my friend whos car was towed. Right off the bat, the minute he placed his license in the window and Monica Mullen started screaming at him saying she doesn't have time for his attitude and she will kick him out. My friend never said a word to her that day and it was very clear he wasn't understanding what she was saying as there was an obvious language barrier. Then i step in to translate and i asked if she could repeat and explain to me whats going on. And she started screaming and shouting at me, I told her do not yell at me as I am trying to have a civil conversation with you and just trying to translate!! And she saying okay i understand but HE WAS HERE YESTERDAY AND I TOLD THE SAME THING YESTERDAY ETC. I asked nicely and calmly although she was shouting in which she responded I don't have time to be lectured. I told her i wasn't lecturing her I was asking for professionalsm no need to yell, I get that you explained to him yesterday but I wasn't here yesterday and I don't have prior knowledge to towing I'm not from CT and don't know how things work around here. The problem wasn't the car it was my friend, she had something against him. She didn't want to give him his car back even though he had all the paperwork and his name was on it, she also made us call a towing company to take the car out which was not necessary as the car had all the right registrations and paperwork. And to top it all she over charged my friend. We called the police and she also screamed at the police saying she was "just explaining" the police said they had many many calls and complaints about her specifically. Our vehicle was stolen out of our driveway and was dropped of there after being recovered by the police. My Wife called to ask about the condition of the vehicle and if she could come see it. she was told by the woman phone answerer that she was too busy to follow up and that my Wife was not allowed to come see her own vehicle. I followed up with a phone call later that day and the same woman phone answerer proceeded to yell at me and tell me I had nothing to do with the vehicle and that my Wife already knew everything. All we wanted to do was inspect our vehicle and remove some personal belongings if they were still inside after the theft... We have the legal right to do this and were refused! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The lady at the front desk is very unprofessional and was extremely rude. My vehicle was stolen and the police found it and towed it to this place and the poor customer service skills from this lady made this 10x harder than it needed to be. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she stated she would not call her supervisor and that I had to deal with her. They promised they would call before dropping off the car to my home and they didn't and just left the car in front of my house knowing that it had been stolen and that whoever stole it kept the keys. I called them and asked and the lady stated I should just take the battery out of the car and basically stated there's nothing else they could do for me. Poor customer service and lack of professionalism. Truly disgusted with the unwillingness to help from this lady. Terrible experience!! The place is trash. They are extortionists and you are victimized twice. My car was towed there after an accident. The front desk woman is an unbalanced liar. She would not let me retrieve some of my work equipment from my car unless she got paid (even though they have a sign in front of the office window stating that you can). When I tried to get an explanation to why this could not be done, she got very agitated and aggressive and said either the insurance company should call her or if I pay the bill I could get to my car. I told her the accident happened the day before and I did not have a report from the police yet, and I just needed a few items from the car. She started to insert herself into the accident saying that she was a eyewitness to my accident (she never stop to help. What a "Great person"), that I was speeding (the other driver ran the red light), and that there was blood in the car door (mind you I was the only one in the car and I had no cuts on me). Seeing she was running out of excuses she stated that she had a lengthy conversation with me about this issue the day before when I called to find out if my car was towed to this shop. I looked at my cell phone and the called I had made was only 2 minutes long ( just enough for her to check if they were the one'that had my car). Really crazy woman?!? Then she tried to gaslight me, saying that I must have hit my head and forgot about the conversation. So this animal of female was trying everything to bully me into agreeing with her crazy lies. All the while there was a guy sitting next to her just shaking his head like a dumb bobble head doll and not making any effort to disengage the situation. Garbage at it's finest!! In the end I paid the bill to get my car out of the garbage establishment (if you can call it that). Once I had access to my car the so called blood was actually bird shit!!! Too bad besides being an animal she's also not very smart (well..,no surprise there). Had she been more sympathetic or should I say a decent human being and was willing to help the shop could have made good profit once the insurance company removed the car from the lot. Instead they made not even 10% of it could have been the cost by making me pay for it. Shame on them for being so greedy and crappy people. Tow truck driver parked blocking the road when the street was plenty wide for two vehicles to drive side by side. When a line of cars formed behind the truck, he yelled at them that they had to "just wait" and they "could call the police, but they will never get there in time to do anything about it." Then, instead of moving over a couple feet so cars could pass, he moved his truck diagonally to block the entire road. He wasn't even towing the car, just needed to unlock the door. Called to complain to the manager and was not allowed to speak to the manager. Instead, the girl on the phone said "he needs to park next to the vehicle for safety". When I asked why he would move diagonally instead of moving over when there was plenty of space, and why he would yell at the people he was blocking she said she would "talk to him". **Avoid** being towed here at all costs. Was yelled at and spoken to rudely from the first second on the phone with Monica. Completely unprofessional, made it nearly impossible to pick up personal items left in car, even though it was fully insured and they were already contacted by the insurance company. Owner with ID needs to be inside visible by CC camera, with no flexibility or accommodation entertained to allow for elderly, handicapped, recently hospitalized individual to sign remotely, as most modern locations would have, or even from the safety of their vehicle in the parking lot. They claim it's because they are in an unsafe neighborhood- another reason to avoid! Even my insurance company thought they had ridiculous requests. I am pretty sure you would only end up towed by them if you had no say or choice, but in case this helps someone- steer clear! read more

If you choose to do business with this company, freshen up on some parenting skills, because you'll basically be dealing with children for employees . Attitude, screaming, and profanity are some things you should expect from the employees going in. Rude, the lady who works in the front desk in the afternoon did not even get her name, she was rude, she called me a little bitch and say fuck you and your mother basically because i am trying to get my mothers car out and translating for my mother because she doesn't speak english. She was rude to the towing company who was going to be sent to pick up the car and the car has been there for 3 days and i still cant get it back, she is just trying to make more money by keeping the car longer. I asked for information on how much the payment was going to be to translate to my mom and she didnt want to give me the information and said fuck yourself and hang up on me.
