From the first interaction, Mark and the others I spoke to were accommodating in a way that felt genuine rather than transactional. I scheduled an appointment, but then accidentally no-showed it due to a household communication breakdown so I didn't have the vehicle. When I called back weeks later to reschedule, there was zero guilt-tripping. No passive-aggressive comments. Just patience and understanding, and we set a new date. The work itself was excellent. They repaired the rim same-day so I wouldn't have to buy an entirely new one, handled the tire mount and balance, and the alignment. The cost was a tiny fraction of what the Porsche dealer quoted, and the car drives flawlessly again. However, what stands out most is how these guys operate when things get a bit complicated. The day of the appointment, I showed up a little late after dropping my daughter to daycare. Then I failed to mention at dropoff that I needed the car back by 5:15 to pick her up in Orange. By the time I did share that constraint, it was already 3pm. I went into worst case scenario planning mode and showed up to just grab the car seat from their shop at 4:30 and figure out the rest by getting an uber. When I arrived, they told me they had put two techs on the car after I called, and the car was already finished. I was, and still am, blown away by how they went above and beyond to help me when it was my mistake. That showed to me that these are people who care about their customers. I have not found a shop more considerate, hardworking, or accommodating. I will definitely be back.

SPARK PLUG REPLACEMENT (6 cylinders) Quoted: $961.78 Labor alone: $691.03 | Parts (6 plugs + gasket kit): $213.32 Reality: According to AAA, RepairPal, and industry standards, a V6 spark plug replacement runs $150-$350 total, or up to $500 at a dealership for hard-to-access engines. Labor nationally ranges from $55-$437 they quoted $691 IN LABOR ALONE. That is simply not defensible. POWER STEERING FLUID RESERVOIR Quoted: $454.78 Labor: $182.10 | Part: $245.53 Reality: This reservoir typically costs $30-$80 in parts. The job takes under an hour. Fair total: $130-$170. They marked up the part by over $170. MOUNT & BALANCE 2 TIRES (215/60/16) Quoted: $373.74 They also added $23.79 for "Road Hazard Coverage" without asking me. Reality: Those tires run $80-$110 each at Costco or Walmart. Mount & balance is $20-$25 per tire. Fair total: ~$230-$270. I declined all four jobs. The overcharge on just these items totals approximately $1,000-$1,300 above fair market value in New Haven, CT. What I did approve (Fluid Film Treatment $199.99 and Transmission Drain & Fill $193.66) seemed within a reasonable range and I have no complaint there. After driving 12 hours the previous day, I knew I needed my SUV looked at before another 12 hour day. I arrived just after 7AM, and Javi (at Tony's) was gracious enough to take a look even though their schedule was packed for that day. He determined my wheel barrings needed to be replaced, and brought me directly into the shop/under my vehicle to talk through a few issues and things I should be watching out for (knowing full well any future repairs wouldn't go to them as I'm obviously from far out of state). When the owner came in, he talked me through my options and squeezed me into his second shop to actually get the work done. He ordered the parts and offered to drive me to his other location (which was unneeded but appreciated), and they were expecting me and immediately got to work on my vehicle. The receptionist quoted me 3 hours and offered to drive me up town to kill time along their main street. I again declined but spent some time wandering up there, got a great breakfast, etc. After 2 hours she called and said she'd put an additional mechanic on my vehicle to save time and that it was ready. They even knocked off the additional cost of labor even though it still took the same (or more) man hours to actually complete it! They made further recommendations like replacing my tires (again, knowing they wouldn't benefit from it), and were very honest about what could and could not wait. Middlesex and Tony's fully took care of me, working me into their already too-full schedule, got me on the road, and I was able to finish my trip to see my family. Their honesty, workmanship, and desire to truly help people was very apparent, and I would recommend them all day long.
