We ordered tonight for the first time for delivery. The Stromboli we received was actually the incorrect one. We called and the owner said keep it for tomorrow nights dinner and the new one will be on its way as soon as it is cooked. The new one arrived with some yummy desserts to say sorry for the mix up! Decided to try some non-pizza items here and everything ordered was delicious. Mom loved her classic Italian hoagie and my cheesesteak hoagie was juicy and delicious as well (and you must tell them hold the mayonnaise if this is something you don't like with steak meat). Both were massive. French fries were thick and potato-ey and had no added salt; perfect for a takeout joint -- add your own at home if you want. Looking forward to trying what appears to be a more vintage Italian style of pizza on their menu next time -- Pizza con pomodori freschi. read more

We miss Anthony's during their temporary closing for construction. We love the owner Lou and his worker, Ally. Both are so nice and always offer to help me carry the food out to my car as I walk with a cane. Their food is the best - we stopped ordering pizzas and cheese steaks from other places because once you have them from Anthiny's all others are just "meh". They load our steaks so much others feel light. They also load our pizzas with fresh toppings. A lot of places use canned mushrooms and parmesan cheese but not Anthony's - all fresh. Didn't realize how addictive their cheese steaks are until their temporary closure. Looking forward to their re-opening. read more

I love this place. I used them to cater an event a few months ago. I ordered a tray of meatballs and sausage & peppers along with pasta and chef salads. The food was a huge hit. Tonight I ordered a pizza and a calzone. I don't say this lightly, the pizza was among the best I have ever had. Been to Italy multiple times, enjoyed some of the best in NYC. This was incredible. I ordered a sausage pie with onions and green peppers. The sauce has a slight sweet taste that is over the top good. The ingredients were piled on high and cooked perfectly. I wish I could comment on the calzone but I didn't make it that far. My wife and I ended up eating the whole pizza. Tomorrow for the calzone. read more

For the last few months, we've ordered delivery from this place about every week. The food's good, and they're accurate with their delivery times about 70% of the time. I don't LOVE the pizza, but that was fine because I usually get something else anyway. One time I was waiting around 1 hour 15 minutes for my order. I called back and the grumpy, pretty aggressive guy (likely the owner) said, "The driver's on his way. Remember I told you it'd be 45 minutes?" Umm, but it's been an hour 15... I let that interaction slide and chalked it up to him being a grumpy old man. Tonight, I called to make an order (I thought I'd come back after going in hiatus and getting Vincent's). The conversation went like this after I said it'd be for delivery: Grumpy/aggressive guy: "It'll be at least an hour. We're very, very busy." Me: "Umm (looking at clock deciphering if I push back kid's bedtime)...I think..." Him after a split second: "Well ya gotta decide quick! I got three lines goin'!" I have a favorite cheesesteak place, so I never considered getting a cheesesteak at Anthony's. I usually get slices on my way home from work. Everything is always amazing there. They get SUPER busy, so be prepared to allow 45minutes or more during weekend dinner times....but well worth the wait. The owner is amazing, usually multi-tasking to make sure everything is made hot and fresh when you pick it up. He is always very happy and personable too, even if it's your first visit. Called earlier in the day (this past Friday) asking if they provided curbside pickup. They said no - that's fine. I then asked if their lasagna on their menu was meat or cheese since it didn't specify. I was told it was meat - but they didn't have it today. I then asked if there were anything else on the menu that wasn't available- and she no, that was it. Fast forward (late afternoon) - I called to place my pickup order. Ordered the chicken marsala and a pizza. Was told they didn't have any dinners. Wait what??? She confirmed what I heard - I couldn't order any dinners. No dinners today (Friday night!) I ended up ordering a Grilled Garden Chicken Sandwich - came with roasted red peppers, mushrooms, cheese and Italian dressing on it. Picked up the order on my way to pick up my granddaughter. Later opened the pizza to serve to the kids - that was fine. Opened my sandwich box and inside was a chicken breast sandwich with lettuce, raw onions and tomatoes! I called and was told - yea, he made a mistake and would make another one. But, I was home with three little girls and live 20 minutes away - doesn't work. Take away is - not having dinners on a Friday night is bad enough-- but then the order of 2 items couldn't even get completed correctly! Sorry - would not recommend ever. read more

Apparently they don't have to abide by the rules put forth by the state for food and health safety during a national pandemic. No masks or gloves being worn by employees preparing food or working the front counter. They did not enforce social distancing or mandatory mask wearing with customers inside their already small storefront. There are plenty of other local pizza shops (who are more consistent I will add) that I will give my business to that actually respect and care about the health and safety of both their employees and customers. read more

Tonight was my first (and likely last) visit to the "new" Anthony's. Ordered a pizza, sandwich & onion rings. when I arrived the sandwich & onion were ready. however the pizza was overlooked and not even started. Waited approximately 15 minutes for my pizza which was underdone (had to finish baking it at home). Onion rings were ice cold & nasty. Younger counter worker had an attitude. Ordered via slice - on line option that is offered - had attitude that I had used that option and blamed his failure to properly execute the PRE PAID order on that. Also there is no place to sit and wait while your order is completed (an issue for me. I am a below the knee amputee). Pizza and sandwich were passable and almost earned a 2 star rating, but the horrible attitude exhibited and total lack of seating earn a one star rating. Too bad - this is based mainly on things that are easily controlled by management. read more

This will be my last time eating here. I'm honestly tired of their lack of customer service and even more tired of the fact that my order is never correct. Just bought a place in the area, and naturally I'm working my way around the local eateries... I came across this place on a CVS run (in the same shopping center). Looked up their menu online, which had prices and descriptions for everything... a rarity these days, and decided to have them deliver while I hung lights and unpacked boxes. They arrived before the 30 minute delivery window. Pizza was great, not too doughy and not too saucy. They packed the tuna hoagie with all the fixings, which I love. The sausage, peppers and sauce hoagie was dripping with sauce and cheese. AND they have fried pickles. What pizza place does that? Awesome. Additionally one hot sandwich was not hot. The pepperoni rolls were not even what I could call warm. Lou makes delicious fresh food & takes great care in his preparation. He has a lot of integrity. We got an extra cheese pie delivered & the driver got cut off & had to slam on the brakes, which ruined the pizza. Before we could call, he had a new pizza made & delivered to us. This is place great! I have lived in Skippack for 5 years and finally decided to try this place. I was very surprised. You can tell this place uses good quality ingredients. We actually did a Skippack Pizza tasting contest for a birthday party and this placed tied for 1st. The crust was a little thicker than my normal liking but we will definitely be going back. I called them after an hour and they said it would be ready soon, I waited another 40 minutes before calling them again, but they never answered it kept going to voicemail. We ordered two sandwiches and one pizza and were told it would be 45 minutes for pick up. My husband ended up waiting an hour and a half for the order. No apology and since you have to pay as soon as you enter (even if you have to wait close to two hours for your order), no amount taken off for inconvenience. There was a line of people dealing with the same thing. When he finally got the order and brought it home, the pizza was cold and the sandwiches were nothing special. Turns out, there were two people making orders on a Saturday. Absolutely ridiculous! My recommendation: learn how to properly staff your restaurant. I will NOT be returning.
