Extremely disappointed with the food and service from Italian Delight in Lansdale. I ordered a caprese panini which was described as being served with tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and spinach (see screen shot of their website). Not only was this not a panini - it was served on pita - but there was no spinach and the cheese wasn't even melted (see photos). I called the restaurant to explain my issue and the employee (manager? owner?) insisted caprese paninis do not come with spinach. He said they have tomato, mozzarella, garlic, and basil. I explained their website says otherwise and there wasn't basil either. He dismissed me again and literally said, "Well, there's nothing I can do at this point. Call Uber Eats if you have an issue." I tried this place out after seeing some posts on a local Facebook group. I enjoy their pizzas, the Florentine pizza was good but I added some garlic powder and red pepper flakes. The calzone was large, but thought the filling could be better and I've had better marinara sauce. I also got a cannoli. The filling was good, but the shell was alright. read more

Vince and friends is great for lots of cheese but they are way out in East Greenville my go to pizza place at my daughter and her mother's. Panache has my favorite crust, if I'm in Blue Bell! We have lived near this place for years, yet never tried it. Tonight we decided to change that. We figured, it's been here for a long time, so it much be good! WRONG. In fact It was everything, but a delight. My grandmother would have disowned me from the family if I fed her this "Italian food". Starting off with the mussels, they arrived at room temperature. Not a great start. We ordered out because we wanted a break from cooking, but began our meal warming up all of our food anyway. That's where our cooking began-but did not end. At first taste of the mussels, I could tell this entire meal would be nothing close to authentic. The sauce tasted like a can of plain tomato soup dumped out into a bowl with some black pepper flakes dusted on top. So much for Fra diavolo. Next, the gnocchi. I am almost speechless to say that it tasted like it came from a frozen bag at Walmart. Again with the can of tomato soup, without a single spice or herb. Where's the basil, the garlic?? Ragu seems gourmet compared to this sauce. I pray it actually came from a can, and isn't homemade! The gnocchi itself was weirdly textured, almost saturated yet dry. I honestly tried to fix it up by adding spices, but it was a lost cause. In the trash it went. We also ordered a side of curly fries which crunched like a potato chip with absolutely no salt. They must've been freezer burnt before forcing them into the fryer and over cooking them. They quickly joined the gnocchi in the trash. The only reason this place got 2 stars is for the decent pizza. No, not great, just decent. I lost my appetite by the time I went to taste it anyway. This place is clearly for pizza only, if you so choose so; But it DEFINITELY does not have any Italians that are delighted to eat here. read more

We have family visiting with a couple of dietary restrictions so we chose to eat at Italian delights. We thought the crust was good on the tomato pie. I mean there's not much to something like that when they're using a pizza dough as opposed to a thicker dough but it was good. The fries were okay, not bad and they didn't have a weird taste to them which is always a plus. Another person ordered a vegetable stromboli with no cheese, there are boxes in the app to remove items and cheese was definitely to be removed. It arrived with cheese and no one else wanted stromboli so unfortunately it went in the trash but it also had a really good crust and it looked like it had a nice assortment of vegetables in it. We also got a cheese hoagie that was subpar and soggy. The issue with the hoagie is they used a roll that is better suited for a hot sandwich like a meatball sub or a steak sandwich, those type of rolls are absolute trash for hoagies because they really don't handle moisture well. I'm giving them three stars because I could see the potential here, if they hadn't had cheese on that stromboli it would have definitely been eaten and I think it would have been enjoyed. The hoagie was not good although the amount of cheese on it was decent, the amount of veggies which is just lettuce and tomato and onions was really sparse and yet the roll was soggy, I wouldn't order a hoagie again considering what an inappropriate roll that is but I would consider a hot sandwich. summary ... good cheesesteaks Went to Italian Delite recently based on a friend's recommendation to try their cheesesteaks. I ordered one to go (the couple at the counter were friendly) and after a brief wait, I walked out with a piping hot parcel of awesomeness. 15 minutes later, I unwrapped the steak and was surprised at how presentable the steak was after being transported around. AND the thing was still hot, but not soggy or gross. As for the taste, the steak was great. Not heavenly but still pretty good. It had a good amount of both cheese and onions without either overpowering the steak. The bread was soft (and as I mentioned before, not soggy, a crucial element to quality take-out cheesesteaks) and the meat was tasty and not greasy. Considering it was $6.75 (plus $0.65 for some added hot peppers), it was reasonably priced for a nicely sized steak. Would definitely consider going back for the steaks. I can't speak to the hoagies, pizza, or Italian fare though. read more

While ordering, the waitress asked if we wanted eggplant on it too but never told us that there would be an extra charge for it. When we got the bill, we realized we had been charged $8 for the eggplant as an extra topping. $8 really... without informing the customer first? I consider myself somewhat of a pizza snob. This is the best pizza in the area. I usually do not order toppings on their pizza, because I love the taste of their plain pizza. It doesn't need toppings. When I order toppings, I get sausage and green peppers. This pizzaria is the only place in the area that is as good as New York City pizza. When I was a teenager, I worked at the Pizza Hut in the same shopping center. On my lunch break, I would head to Italian Delite for lunch, insteading of eating free pizza. I absolutely love this place. Some of the best pizza I have ever had. They also have really large slices. They even make heart shaped pieces which are really cute for special occasions. The staff is always friendly and the wait time is pretty quick. I will caution customers about one thing, and I hope the owner will take note of this. I don't think the employees have been as safe around COVID as customers would like. Today, during a pick up, I watched an employee take garlic bread out of the oven with his hands and bring it to the back kitchen. I'm not sure if he was packaging it up to be sent to a customer or perhaps he was taking it to the kitchen to eat himself. It just wasn't a good visual for the customers to see, it certainly made me feel uncomfortable given the current fear of contamination. If it wasn't for that, I'd say 5 stars. Good cheese pizza. I usually order pizza from Italian Delite and sandwiches from Ray's. Careful on your topping choices - we stick to only pepperoni or sausage (crumbled), which are both good. We ordered mushroom once, and they were canned and not really cooked. We also asked for green pepper and onion once, and the peppers were jarred sweet peppers, and the onions were barely cooked. When I went to college on the mainline of Philly, I was with a lot of fellow students from all over the country. As a Philly native, I would always be asked "Where is the best Philly cheesesteak for us to try? Pats? Genos?" and I would always respond "Italian Delite in Lansdale, PA!"
