I odered a quinoa bowl and got a salad. There seems to be some confusion with the salads and bowls listed on the menu. I had seen a picture of the southwest qunioa bowl and I ordered that, but the staff said it wasn't a quinoa bowl, but a salad that comes with quinoa. I was confused but figure that person worked there so he would know better than me. So I got it to go and when I got back to work I saw that it was just a bed of kale, no quinoa at all. I looked at pictures from online and the other location, and it's definitely supposed to be quinoa with kale shreds mixed in. However it did have a great flavor and that cilantro dressing was amazing. I was just disappointed that in the end there was 0 quinoa in the quinoa bowl. read more

Horrible experience. First time ordering and we were given a bucket of scrap of tiny reheated pieces of chicken and clearly reheated fries that had been sitting there. The chicken was tough and inedible. What a waste of $50. Really disappointed. Edit: I just want it to be known that I woke up to a caring message from the manager CJ this morning and he gave us a resolution without having been asked. It was very appreciated. Nice but pretty expensive. My sister got 2 pieces of fried chicken for $8. I got the Baja bird for $13. Everything on their menu (except the bun for the sandwiches) is gluten free which is probably why it is pricier. You can get either fried or grilled chicken for the sandwich options. I picked the grilled chicken option of the Baja bird; it came with a spicy chipotle sauce and fresh cilantro which was good but not amazing. Celiac here w/ my non-GF hubby: stopped for lunch today and it exceeded our expectations! The GF chicken wrap was delicious and the fries (yes, I could eat the fries!!) were so good. The hubs had the chicken on a regular bun and said he wouldn't have known it was GF. We both had the Nashville Hot and it WAS hot! This place was great; I wish we lived closer so we come more often. I have been back to Lovebird-Blue Bell many times since writing my initial review and I must say they continue to impress. On my last trip here I had the grilled chicken in a lettuce wrap with some delectable sweet chili sauce. I added pickles for the extra fifty cents and by god man what you get here versus their main competitor of Chick-fil-a is a healthy AF sandwich that does not carb you up and you actually feel good after the meal. Lovebird is GREAT! My brother told me it was good, and I thought he meant good in the sense that fried chicken is generally good, but I discovered that it was on another level. Just the chicken alone chicken is the best around, and they make a variety of menu items out of it perfectly. Their Nashville Hot would be very competitive in Nashville. The Baja Bird is out of this world. I'm not one to go to a fried chicken joint and try to order something that's not deep fried, but for those not in love with deep fried meat, you can get most of their dishes with a miso-garlic grilled chicken or with miso-garlic tofu. And they offer a couple of quinoa-based bowls that I assume are pitched towards those concerned about diets. One person in my party got a dish with the grilled chicken, and it looked delicious and she loved it, so I don't think they treat their lighter options like an afterthought. The sides are also pretty good. They definitely score points with me for having good fried pickles, since that's something many lesser establishments get wrong. It's mostly a takeout place but with a little seating for those too hungry (or far from their base) to bring their food home. So, the ambiance is largely a takeout counter one, but they do a great job with that. They have a visually appealing logo, use nice fonts for the menu, etc. to elevate the experience. The design is pleasant. And the service we got was quick, efficient, and friendly. It's hard to recommend this place highly enough. If you go to Lovebird, you'll be its lovebird, and you can be lovebirds together! read more

I had the two piece fried chicken with a side of coleslaw for $12.50 (plus tax). My chicken was tasty (but nothing extraordinary) and was very small. When I got the order of two pieces of chicken in a tiny box I thought it couldn't be. Well it was tiny, teeny tiny. My $5 side of coleslaw was dry and flavorless and also tiny for the price. My wife said her LBLT sandwich was also very bland. So if I'm going to get fried chicken, I will certainly be going elsewhere read more

We've long been fans of Lovebird, and it's nice to see them expanding more into Montgomery County! We ordered from here twice so far, and quality has been on par with our experiences at other locations such as Bryn Mawr and the original in Doylestown. Great place to get gluten-free fried chicken, with the bone-in chicken tasting better than the popcorn chicken. That said, popcorn chicken is still a nice thing to get - tasty chicken that's nice and easy. We often get the salads too, which are tasty, and they have some good sandwiches on the menu as well. However, on our last order I got the Nashville Hot, which looked interesting, but it wasn't quite as good as I was hoping. I love a good french fry and these were definitely that but would have been better fresher at the restaurant (next time). Coleslaw was yummy. Brussels sprouts were a tad overdone for our liking with some of them tasting a bit burnt. Mac n cheese was good, but nothing too too special. For some reason I would actually prefer macaroni noodles (this was penne). Onion rings are where you lost us a bit. My first bite was all batter.
