To start, my family has been ordering delivery pizza from Anthony's for years. Consistency could vary from time to time but overall pretty good. I moved into the area about 3 or so years ago and I was pretty excited because it's right down the street from me. I go in there on average maybe once a month. Every time I go in to get a slice I have I mean worse possible service. Most of the time there is no one at the counter when I get in there, no big deal. I understand there's other things that need to be done in a small business. But there is always someone in the front (kitchen area). The employees will stand there and look at you while you stand at the counter ready to place an order not making any move to help you. The worst employee I've seen is an older white male delivery driver, who will literally stand and look at you and not say anything at all. I've seen this multiple times when I've gone in there to grab a slice or two. I understand, you are a delivery driver you don't work to counter but you're still an employee of the business. A simple, "let me get somebody to help you out" is all I'm looking for. This morning, I pull up and the sign on the window says that they open at 11 and the open sign is on, its 1106. I also see a sign on the window that says wait at the door we'll come to you, so I stand there. The older white male delivery driver and a male Hispanic employee (who on previous visits has begrudgingly helped me after I was waiting at the counter and he stood and looked at me for a number of minutes; who's sitting at a table on his phone) are both standing inside. The older white Male walks over, like I'm bothering him, and says "We're not open. 15 mins" and walks away. I got in my car and left. I'm here to spend money in a time when small businesses are struggling, and that's the service that you give? You are supposed to be open already but I feel like I'm bothering your employees. I drove to another Dinico's which I dont like as much but atleast I can actually be waited on. I like how close it is to me and the pizza is usually solid but the service is a huge no-go. Still as good as it was in 2014. I don't come here very often because it's a bit out of the way, but boy do I wish they were closer. My brother and I split a Stuffed Spinach Pizza. I know this is not health food, but I felt good about having spinach in my pizza. These people are cheats. I placed a delivery order which included the item "Fried Perch Dinner" for $8.25. What I got was 3 tiny pieces of breaded fish, plus a handful of fries and two plastic packets of tartar sauce. That was all. I weighed the fish and the 3 pieces together came to just under 2 ounces, breading included. There couldn't have been more than an ounce of fish in the entire order. The fries were half cooked and soggy. It was missing the salad, which should have been part of the "Fried Perch Dinner" according to the menu. The entire "dinner" was worth maybe $2, tops. I have had similar problems with Anthony's before, specifically with their chicken. They advertise chicken by the numbers - 8 pieces, 12 pieces, 16 pieces. One might assume that a "piece" is roughly what you get at KFC or Popeye. But no, you would be mistaken. They pick the scrawniest chickens they can find, so that each "piece" is half or one third the size of what you'd get at any other chicken place. The end result is underwhelming. You should order twice as many as you think you can eat, because they are very small pieces. read more

Extremely disappointed receiving my pizza. I am customer who orders on the regular and I ALWAYS order the same thing to the same address. My pizza arrived cold and burnt. Wasn't even cut properly and the toppings where a mess, not what I had ordered. It seemed as if the cook rushed through the pizza. Usually takes about 45 minutes to a hour tops to arrive. They immediately told us to keep the thin and delivered the correct pizza quickly at no additional charge. They could not have been more professional. Now, the pizza. Their whole wheat is amazing. Moist, flavorful, and spot on. Their sausage...best anywhere. Hadn't had Anthony's in years - now that I'm back in the area they are top of the list again. Eat here! UNFORTUNATE UPDATE. Our first choice Rocky's pizza said the wait would be 1.5hours so we decided to give this place a try. Food sounded and looked good. Wrong choice... first of all it took them 2.5hours to get the food to us. The person who took our order put the wrong address down after repeating myself three times and so the driver got lost at the hospital i work at but didnt make the effort to look around but straight back to shop and waited until we called to tell us that news. They delivered after 30min from that phone call. The pizza and the breaded mushrooms we ordered were horrible... They brought us the 2 hour old pizza with the burnt breaded mushroom. Anthony's delivers consistently good thin crust pizza. The sauce is a little sweet, but not too sweet. The sausage is meaty and flavortul and the only thing about the crust I am not 100% satisfied with is that it's not crispy. But it's still good. It's not cracker crust like D'Agostino's. Also good at Anthony's are their Broasted Chicken dinners and Fetuccini Alfredo. They used to have an "anniversary special" that went on for about 5 years or so, which consisted of a large thin crust pizza and liter of pop for $6.99! Couldn't beat that, but it's sadly gone. I have to say I was a little skeptical about walking in this place thinking I was gonna get bad service and bad pizza, and I have to admit, I was wrong for the firs time, please forgive me for judging and trying like I always do anyways, when I first walked in a girl with glasses and wearing a black Aero sweater was very helpful and gave me a good suggestion for a great pizza slice, she had a smile from here to China and her attitude was outstanding and superb, I guess that's what I get for judging , now that I feel stupid, the pizza slices were a great size for a slice and the price $2.95 for either a thin or pan pizza type is a great price compared to others , not only that, as I was just standing there waiting for her to get my slices ready, I can over hear another girl (cute as hell, sorry) that was on the phone taking orders and she was very professional on the phone and polite as hell to other customers in the restaurant when she was off the phone, as I over looked into the kitchen area, they all seem to work hard and in order with great direct order from the girls up front.... I have always ordered from here and never had any problems until today. I ordered a bucket of ribtips and when I was just about to eat my second piece I saw something wierd on top and it was house fly eggs. Mindfull my kids where also eating this. So I called right away and they said they don't know what fly eggs look like but they would refund me the money. I took them the food back and as I walk in someone was mocking me saying they don't put fly eggs in their food. When clearly they do. And also told me they are not fly experts so i thought I should educated them on fly eggs. This will be a mixed review. I would love to give them 5 stars - the pizza was really good and arrived fairly quickly. Unfortunately, an order of wings was missing upon delivery, which we didn't notice until after the delivery driver had left. We ordered through Yelp/Eat24, and contacted the restaurant through the order update feature. We were told it would be delivered within 30 minutes. An hour later I called the restaurant and asked what was happening, only to find out it had never been handled. They offered a $5 credit and to resend the food in 30 minutes. That was 75 minutes ago. Would I eat their food again? Probably. Would I order delivery from them again? Nope. As a note, Eat24 was immediately responsive and helpful. read more

Okay, here's the deal... I decided to let bygones be bygones and give this establishment another try. Closing time was quickly approaching and I contemplated if I should even place an order. So knowing me, I can't pass up a good deal (still had my door tag promo) and dialed the number before I could talk myself out. THIS time the gentleman who answered the phone was much nicer and did not rush me thru my order even though it was for delivery and time was of the essence. It sounded like the same fellow who answered during my first experience. Kudos for your change in mood. The pizza and wings arrived and they were still hot. Not too hot, buy definitely not entering warm zone. The pizza was very thin. Not your average thin crust pizza, but VERY thin. A few peps that protruded from the cheese/pizza were burned a bit (not gonna die over it). However, the cheese was amazing! Whoever made it was generous with the cheese portion. And whoever's gracious soul that orders the quality of your pizza's cheese deserves this recognition. We haven't even touched the wings yet. Also delivered hot. They were crispy (not soggy or stale tasting when they sit in the container too long)and delish!!! They weren't skimpy pieces either. The only downer was I only received one hot sauce on the side when I requested at least two. No biggie. To be honest I was only going to give 3 stars. But why the 4?
