Went looking for a new pizza place to try in Tewksbury and decided on Anthony's. I order a 1/2 tray of grandmas cheese pizza and a large pepperoni. Grandmas pizza is what I would describe as Sicilian style pizza. There was a little too much sauce, it was messy to eat, and the it was way too sweet for me. The crust was light and airy and was really good. The cheese they use is ok, doesn't add anything but isn't bad either. The crust is king on this pizza. Which is odd since the pepperoni pizza was floppy and undercooked. This is a Greek style pizza which I don't prefer but will eat. The actual pepperoni were amazing, they were crisp and delicious but there was too much cheese on the pizza to truly enjoy them. This pizza might be good if you ordered it well done with light cheese. Might have try grandmas pizza with pepperoni to get the best of both worlds.

Ordered a large steak and cheese sub with extra cheese - not only was it soggy and overfilled so that all the steak fell out, but there definitely wasn't extra cheese in it. I feel bad complaining but I have to review it because it wasn't worth the money .

Roast beef on gluten free bread!!

Finally got my roast beef sandwich fix! They have gluten free bread (and pizza!) and a knowledgeable staff. Friend had the chicken park sandwich on ciabatta which was INSANELY GOOD. Def worth the stop!

A VERY disappointing, "NOT SO FANCY" meatball sandwich. A $16 sandwich with FOUR regular sized meatballs.

The first time I came here I got the Super beef and it was pretty good - 7/10 stars. Today I ordered The Don sandwich. I asked for it to be on a garlic bread roll instead of ciabatta, and I asked for no balsamic. I am just wondering why it says it comes with pesto & peppers and those were nowhere to be found on my sandwich?.. All that was on there was chicken, eggplant, mozzarella and prosciutto. Don't know how that got lost in translation but I was rather disappointed I am still giving 3 stars only because despite the sandwich missing 2 ingredients, it still tasted great. I wish I had subbed the balsamic for Mariana because I will admit it was rather dry. Maybe the pesto would have helped that....

    Super Beef

Roast beef is delicious and onion roll is perfect, I have never had such high quality beef just so fresh, only thing as you can see in the picture is I wish the cheese was melted instead of just a cold piece of American cheese slapped on the bottom , and definitely could use more sauce , but quality taste and just freshness you can not beat it

Always have gotten great food and service here. For this recent stop I had a super beef. Truly one of the best in the North Shore(ish) area.

They're always experimenting, and I've also been thoroughly impressed with their stouts, sours, and pilsners. 5 stars on the beer alone. For those who know the brews but haven't been to the Tewksbury location: come! Enjoy! The Clubhouse taproom is spacious, lively, welcoming, and run like a well oiled machine. Show your ID, get a bracelet, and the staff will pour whatever, and it'll be sublime. Drink it to wash down one of their tasty house-made pizzas; honestly, the pizza kitchen is far better than most local "house of pizza" places, and could probably survive as a business on its own. Give your order and you'll get a text when it's ready. Then enjoy the pie, which features a crisp, well seasoned crust with a nice chew. I had pepperoni with hot honey and a side of ranch dipping sauce; never thought I'd gush about ranch sauce, but damn, it's seriously good. Wrap up your visit with a to-go order of cans from their lengthy beer menu. No, it ain't cheap. Yes, it's worth the price. All in all a great chilling with beer and pizza experience, and a welcome addition to the northern burbs.

They had quite an extensive list of IPAs. A few with fruit which I sampled and landed on the mango. None of them are overly sweet which is nice. They only have 12 or 16 oz options. No smaller options for flights. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza. They only come in one size and the topping options are pretty basic. Pepperoni, cheese, white pizza, vodka, margarita. You can add hot honey or extra pepperoni only. All around ~$22 which is honestly a great deal since it's a large pizza that can easily be split by 4 people. The crust isn't super thick but still holds up to the toppings. Pepperoni was of the cup variety and had a good flavor.

Wow. This is the fastest I ever wrote a review after leaving somewhere. This was also the worst…read morerestaurant experience of my entire life, so the urgency is warranted. And I've eaten at probably over 250+ restaurants in my adult life. Why was it so bad? The salami on the antipasto salad was so rancid, my poor wife almost immediately vomited when she took a bite. And I mean she instantaneously gagged audibly and could barely maintain her composure. She felt embarrassed but when I smelled the salami I completely understood why she would react that way. It smelled like it was bad a week prior. We told the waitress, who took the food back. The kitchen staff had informed her they checked the salami and it was fine. My wife works in food service and said this salami was rancid. I have no such experience and could tell by scent and sight that this was badly spoiled. It was yellowish in some areas. I wanted to leave then, even though we had an entree on the way. I took one look around at the dated, cheap decor, the nasty blinds caked with dust and food particles, and thought to myself: this is one of those places from Kitchen Nightmares, where Gordon Ramsay would pop out, shut the place down, then go stick is hand in some slop in the back. A supervisor comes out and explains that they aren't saying we are wrong, but that the salami they checked was okay. That the portion we received might have been spoiled, but they assure me the rest isn't. C'mon. If the kitchen staff couldn't admit or tell this was revolting, then what the hell else were they going to serve me? I soon found out. We got the chicken francaise which is a cutlet dredged in egg and tossed in flour. It should be like a pan-seared cutlet with a slight coating. No, what we were served was a chicken cutlet inside an omelette. Swear to god. There was visible egg scramble layered on top and the bottom of the chicken. I was absolutely starving so I had a couple of bites. I commented on how it was like an omelette and my wife responded "that's what it is like!" And then commented on the egg smell. This was the grossest texture you could imagine. Our waitress had just come over to ask how our food was. We asked her to take it away and said it was the worst meal of our lives. I felt terrible for her. She felt so bad and was clearly nervous. We told her not to be sorry repeatedly as it wasn't her fault. It was the kitchen. They comped all the food, which we didn't really eat, but made us pay for our cocktails. Fine. Although considering the fact they ruined our night and we left hungry, they really should have comped those too. It was that bad. I had 7:45PM reservations. As I type this it is 9:14PM. I ordered DoorDash over 15 mins ago as you can see by the pics I have provided. All of this tonight that happened is true and I sincerely hope people read this and think twice about going there. I read another review that said it was the best food of their life. I joked that's because they died immediately after. This food was disgusting, low quality, and the place is a dump.

So I had a second lunch (two slices from a whole pie that I'll finish another day). -- Pepperoni Pizza: I've come to expect high-quality and that's what I got. Lightly charred crust with a fairly firm base, neither done to an extreme. Unexpected was a bit of sourness to the cheese, which was actually a plus, adding complexity. Robust tomato sauce is there in greater supply than most, and I like that. Pepperoni isn't as thick as Tree House, but it's noticeably thicker than most, and much more flavorful. If there's a weakness to this pizza, it's that the crust is more of a vessel (though a well-cooked one) than flavor provider, but it delivers structure. There's more than enough flavor everywhere else. -- Chocolate Chip Cookie: I always covet them but today I took the plunge. I expected good, but not necessarily great beyond pizza cookie standards. It's fairly thin, very bendy, and very moist, with so much chocolate that I feared it would detract from the dough. Not the case: despite a slight resemblance to supermarket bakery cookies, this dough emphasized butter, not sugar. And a fabulous butter at that (probably brown butter), bringing a darker flavor with nutty hints of caramel. Salt crystals on top are cliché nowadays, but restraint ensured they'd enhance, not distract. The flavor got better with every bite. Excellent cookie that would put many full fledged bakeries to shame. Back to the pizza: If you're not into the tomato, the char, or the lack of seating (2 booths), this place might not be for you. But I'm all for the first two and don't mind gambling on seating, because tailgating is always a worthy last resort for pizza this good.

I've gotten pizza from here twice and both times the crust was overdone, even burnt in some spots. I ordered via the Toast app and there is the option to ask for a lighter bake which I wish I had done. Both times I ordered a pizza with pepperoni and mushroom with garlic bread crust which was about $30 after tax and tip. The pizza is large but still on the pricey side. The garlic bread crust seemed like it was just garlic powder seasoning so it doesn't add much flavor. However I appreciate that they are generous with the toppings and aside from the crust, everything else was good. The location is a pain to get in and out of because the parking lot is small and it's located on a busy spot on 114 next to Stop and Shop.
