After finishing up some business in North Andover, I decided to pick up a pizza for dinner at Stachey's Olde-Time Pizzeria, which is located in the East Mill complex at the corner of High Street and Water Street. Stachey's is a solid option for great tasting pizza. I strolled in here around 6PM and there were no paper menus out. I requested a menu from one of the staff members, who hands me a paper menu and immediately tells me the prices were incorrect, as a new menu was still in production, hence the old menus were kept behind the counter. They also offer several combo specials with a drink too. I ordered one of my favorites, a small 12" Eggplant Pizza (actual price $7.75 plus tax, $7.45 on old menu) and chilled out in the nice casual dining room watching some Red Sox highlights on the big TV. A few of the staff seemed somewhat frustrated about the new menus not being ready and having to tell customers the prices on their current (old) menus were incorrect. Anyways, the pizza was all set in 15 minutes. Since it was a nice day outside, I enjoyed a couple slices outside on the patio. The crust had a good firm texture topped with a good sauce, big strips of breaded eggplant and cheese. Yummy!!

We ordered a large cheese pizza to go on a Sunday afternoon. We got home and the crust on the bottom was burnt. Not just black but burnt and it didn't taste very good. We called to let them know and we didn't get as much as an "I'm sorry". We contacted the restaurant via their website and haven't heard anything. Stachey's quality control must be very poor because if they had looked at that pizza when it came out of the oven, they wouldn't have sold it to anyone. And they apparently don't care! We will get our pizza somewhere else from now on.

I hate when one end has steak cheese and the other doesn't. Then you have half the bottom busting out. And very uncooked fries to the point you don't eat then.

Mediocre pizza, but I order here because my daughter and her friends seem to like it. Today I ordered 4 pizzas for delivery. The girl on the phone said 45 minutes until it would be delivered. One hour later our pizza was delivered only to discover upon opening one of them that the whole corner of one of the crusts was missing/destroyed. Totally unacceptable. I called to let them know and the girl just said ok, do you want us to send another? I'm sorry, but the customer service and quality is seriously lacking here. I guess there's not much competition in North Andover so they feel they can deliver a low quality product.

Glutem free supreme slice, a bit too long in the oven in my opinion

I like the pizza from this place. I've ate pizza from this place multiple times. I like the menu. A lot of options for pizza toppings.

Stachey's has always been super delicious! Pretty fast considering the busy business that they have.

Awesome subs, great salads, incredible house-made pita! Disappointing pizza but chicken fingers were... good.

So I had a second lunch (two slices from a whole pie that I'll finish another day). -- Pepperoni Pizza: I've come to expect high-quality and that's what I got. Lightly charred crust with a fairly firm base, neither done to an extreme. Unexpected was a bit of sourness to the cheese, which was actually a plus, adding complexity. Robust tomato sauce is there in greater supply than most, and I like that. Pepperoni isn't as thick as Tree House, but it's noticeably thicker than most, and much more flavorful. If there's a weakness to this pizza, it's that the crust is more of a vessel (though a well-cooked one) than flavor provider, but it delivers structure. There's more than enough flavor everywhere else. -- Chocolate Chip Cookie: I always covet them but today I took the plunge. I expected good, but not necessarily great beyond pizza cookie standards. It's fairly thin, very bendy, and very moist, with so much chocolate that I feared it would detract from the dough. Not the case: despite a slight resemblance to supermarket bakery cookies, this dough emphasized butter, not sugar. And a fabulous butter at that (probably brown butter), bringing a darker flavor with nutty hints of caramel. Salt crystals on top are cliché nowadays, but restraint ensured they'd enhance, not distract. The flavor got better with every bite. Excellent cookie that would put many full fledged bakeries to shame. Back to the pizza: If you're not into the tomato, the char, or the lack of seating (2 booths), this place might not be for you. But I'm all for the first two and don't mind gambling on seating, because tailgating is always a worthy last resort for pizza this good.

I've gotten pizza from here twice and both times the crust was overdone, even burnt in some spots. I ordered via the Toast app and there is the option to ask for a lighter bake which I wish I had done. Both times I ordered a pizza with pepperoni and mushroom with garlic bread crust which was about $30 after tax and tip. The pizza is large but still on the pricey side. The garlic bread crust seemed like it was just garlic powder seasoning so it doesn't add much flavor. However I appreciate that they are generous with the toppings and aside from the crust, everything else was good. The location is a pain to get in and out of because the parking lot is small and it's located on a busy spot on 114 next to Stop and Shop.
