I had a family gathering planned and walked into Stacheys one week prior to order ahead. It was 4 o'clock in the afternoon and I was told it was too busy and to go home and call. Three days later I called at 7 o'clock in the evening again trying to place an order and was told it was too busy and to call the following day. I called to speak with a manager or owner and the person that picked up the never identified himself . I had to clarify who he was and what his position was. I explained to him what happened. He basically said oh we have a lot of kids working for us, by the way, the woman at the restaurant was not a kid. LOTS of gluten free options. A clearly labeled gluten free menu as well. I have gotten their gluten free chicken finger sub and it hit the spot. After finishing up some business in North Andover, I decided to pick up a pizza for dinner at Stachey's Olde-Time Pizzeria, which is located in the East Mill complex at the corner of High Street and Water Street. Stachey's is a solid option for great tasting pizza. I strolled in here around 6PM and there were no paper menus out. I requested a menu from one of the staff members, who hands me a paper menu and immediately tells me the prices were incorrect, as a new menu was still in production, hence the old menus were kept behind the counter. They also offer several combo specials with a drink too. I ordered one of my favorites, a small 12" Eggplant Pizza (actual price $7.75 plus tax, $7.45 on old menu) and chilled out in the nice casual dining room watching some Red Sox highlights on the big TV. A few of the staff seemed somewhat frustrated about the new menus not being ready and having to tell customers the prices on their current (old) menus were incorrect. Anyways, the pizza was all set in 15 minutes. Since it was a nice day outside, I enjoyed a couple slices outside on the patio. We ordered a large cheese pizza to go on a Sunday afternoon. We got home and the crust on the bottom was burnt. Not just black but burnt and it didn't taste very good. We called to let them know and we didn't get as much as an "I'm sorry". We contacted the restaurant via their website and haven't heard anything. Stachey's quality control must be very poor because if they had looked at that pizza when it came out of the oven, they wouldn't have sold it to anyone. And they apparently don't care! 3 strikes you're out! Called 2x the girl took my order got it wrong , that was a few weeks ago. Today I ordered an Italian sub in the place at the counter so there was no misunderstanding. So got home and opened up my salami with lettuce Tom, and pickles.. 22.00 for a salami sandwich. This place use to be great now they cheap out on food and don't care if your order is wrong. Mediocre pizza, but I order here because my daughter and her friends seem to like it. Today I ordered 4 pizzas for delivery. The girl on the phone said 45 minutes until it would be delivered. One hour later our pizza was delivered only to discover upon opening one of them that the whole corner of one of the crusts was missing/destroyed. Totally unacceptable. My whole family's been coming to Stachey's for years, and I want to start by saying by that normally, they'd get 4-5 stars. Lately, though, the quality seems to be slipping. About a month ago, I got my usual salad order, and there was not a ton of chicken on top. Tonight, I ordered a cheeseburger plate (dinner), which I've ordered probably a dozen times before, and the whole meal was different. First, I order one cheeseburger dinner because these things used to be monsters- it was always a double patty, so me and a friend could split. Tonight, we opened the container and they've gone to one patty. The bun is different, and instead of fries, there were tater tots. Don't get me wrong, I love a good tater tot, but not when I was expecting fries (like it says on the menu). However this place has gone downhill since it opened, The customer service is mediocre and sometimes they straight up screw up your order. A-MAZING!!! Dave and his staff were absolutely the BEST! We unfortunately suffered a loss and were having a celebration of life. Although it is important to feed your guests, this was the last thing we wanted to worry about. I spoke with Dave once and let him know everything we were thinking of having and approximately how many people we thought would attend. His first words were, I'm so sorry for your loss. He then assured us that we didn't need to worry. He personally delivered and set up, along with staff, exactly what we needed. The food was amazing and we definitely had plenty. Solid service. I ordered a steak and cheese teriyaki sub which doesn't come toasted - they toasted it upon request and it was delicious, so I appreciate the extra step. I ordered a small, which was the perfect size, but they have larger sizes too which would be great for sharing. Chicken fajita pizza was great too. The dough was perfect, & the crust wasn't rock hard like some other pizza shop pies. The cooks are heavy on the ingredients (which is a good thing) so be sure to say something if you don't want too much of a specific ingredient. read more

I have been coming here for a while now and I usually don't write these reviews but each time I order I keep getting the same girl rining me up every time younger girl probably early 20s Yes this place has great customer service but man ... this girl is rining in my order into the register and taking a phone order while constantly making sure I'm taken care of to the fullest extent. When Giving her my card another phone rings she said I'm so sorry and picked up the other phone while finishing the first one and was able to complete everything with a smile on her face.... Having moved to the area less than a year ago...we tried a lot of places trying to find good pizza! Lots were disappointing but Stachey's is Mmmm Mmmmmm Good! It is Italian style & they use a delicious sweet sauce. =) So why didn't I give it a higher rating? If I was just rating the pizza I'd give 4-5 stars....it's DELICIOUS & the best in this area.... HOWEVER... The counter service is very inconsistent...either very friendly or downright rude. We were eating here more regularly before 2 poor staff experiences. Their salads don't impress me & the wings are not my style (batter fried)...can't find good wings in this neck of the woods - AT ALL. :( Also want to add...in fairness to the establishment I have seen that they do a lot of charity within the community & that says something about who the owners (not hired staff) is. We will be back...in hopes of the super friendly for the delicious pizza. read more

My first experience with Stachey's was for a preschool fundraiser. I think it is great that this business was supporting our kids and of course it is good advertising for their business. Well it worked, my wife and I were immediate fans of their pizza and subs. We would frequent them at least once a week and sometimes as much as 3 times a week. After several mistakes with my order to which I received no customer service, IMO, I began to desire pizza and subs from other establishments. My wife held to her desire for the pizza. More mistakes in the ordering, at one point mushrooms were put on the pizza for which I have an allergy. Not sure how you mistake meatballs for mushrooms but the management does not seem to care. Delays in delivery as much as 90 minutes and receiving cold pizza that is barely cooked was the last straw for me. Again my wife continued to push forward and be a loyal customer. Finally last night she has now decided to no longer frequent this establishment if at all. In her attempts to place her order she was confronted with a very rude employee over the phone. Beyond the rudeness was the fact that the employee was wrong about the specials offered at Stachey's. My wife hung up, upset and frustrated. I offered to call back, when the same employee answered I simply asked to speak to a manager. The response I got was appalling, "I just want to let you know that I wasn't rude to your wife!" I hadn't said word one about why I was calling and yet I was being berated with rudeness before I could even discuss my concerns and place an order. The manager, IMO, was worse for not dealing with this issue. His response was to not get in the middle and in his words, "play the he said, she said game." I placed my order and the pizza was delivered 45 minutes later. Interestingly, the pizzas we ordered were less than the cost of the pizzas we had ordered 4 days prior. Why that is important, we ordered two of the same pizzas as our order 4 days ago and a 3 topping pizza last night vs. a 2 topping pizza 4 days ago. Now my math is that a 3 topping pizza would be more than a 2 topping pizza but it was roughly $3 cheaper this time around. This is another issue I have with Stachey's, their pricing is inconsistent. We typically order the same food week to week and the price goes up and down each week. Not sure if some weeks the employees are skimming or what but just another reason to be wary of this mismanaged business! read more

Stachey's can be a hit or a miss for people and it's usually a miss for me. A salad from here takes about 30 minutes to make while a slice of pizza takes 5 minutes as they just reheat it for a bit. The best part about this place is that they are very generous with their servings - they make Costco pizza look small. 1 slice of pizza is actually a quarter of a pizza and small sub is 9 inches long. Otherwise, their salads are ordinary, the pizzas usually have burnt crust, and their subs are ordinary. Since it's so close to work for me, I go here every day and am slowly making my way through their Sub menu. The best I've had here is the Pastrami although if they ever ask if you want sauce on the sub, ask for it on the side or just a little bit as they're EXTREMELY generous, in fact a bit too generous when you don't want a sandwich mainly comprised of mayo. We visit Stachey's in No. Andover and Salem about 3 times a month for pizza or subs. I've also had the chef salad. We love their pizza! And have never had a complaint about their subs either. The chef salad was enough for me to take half home for the following day. The staff in Salem has always been great. In No Andover they are usually a bit indifferent. Seems like a couple of the young girls there aren't always interested in customer service. I would have to agree with one reviewer who wrote that the tables need to be wiped down. Probably wouldn't hurt to have a staff member give them a quick clean now and then. All in all, we love Stachey's pizza! read more
