My family has been going to pizza Mia for over 20 years. I moved closer to the Tewksbury area and decided to get appetizers one night for dinner . The pizza that I've had in the past is always amazing despite me not being a pizza lover. My partner and I ordered bread, jalapeño, poppers, and toasted ravioli. We were missing our bread and in my opinion, the portion sizes are insane for the amount of money we spent ... it was almost $30 for missing garlic bread and two minuscule appetizers. I contacted them via their website to no response. I was excited to order frequently from Pizza Mia, especially for football season approaching but I just can't justify spending $30 on half portions of appetizers and missing food from what I remember. Their eggplant pizza is phenomenal. If you are dining inside the store is a small run of the mill pizza shop. I'm not sure if I can return. read more

However, I have tried other pizza shops in town, and Pizza Mia is mediocre at best. They are not expensive price wise. The cheese was not tasty. The pizza was over-all too greasy and the crust? I am a new but loyal customer. I will not be going back because the young woman who answered the phone was extremely rude . I should have canceled my order, but I wanted to complain in person. Pizza Mia serves up pretty good thin crust pizza, very firm and crisp crust on the bottom. This small takeout place also serves up calzones, subs, salads, burgers, chicken, tips, pasta dinners, and sides. The prices here are fair and they accept competitor's coupons comparable to Pizza Mia. I went here to grab some pizza slices for lunch, cheese and pepperoni slices ($1.80 & $2.00 plus tax), which were reheated in the oven and ready in 3 minutes. Though the pizza tasted pretty good with a good crust, sauce, and browned cheese topping, there were a few burnt air bubbles near the edge, perhaps from the reheating process, which I removed before eating. The slices tasted pretty good. If you like good Italian style pizza in this area, then this is the place to go. (really 3.5 stars) read more

Their pizza tastes really good, I have to say. But I think the way they service the customers are a bit inconsiderate, to say the least. Let me explain. I put an online order for a Margherita Pizza with extra base cheese and extra fresh mozzarella, because I loved their Margherita Pizza when I first ordered from here. Then I received a call from them a little moment after I placed the order. They asked if my order is correct, with extra fresh mozzarella, AND extra mozzarella cheese, so I asked if there will be any issues with the pizza. Because the moment they asked the question, I knew that they might be asking because of the amount of cheese, and how it might overflow, and look bad or just overall unpresentable and whatnot. They said "no, nothing's wrong, just calling to make sure we got the order right!". So I thought "Wow, that is great to hear! Extra cheese and they're not gonna have any issues with it! They must be pretty good at managing these nicely" So I pick up the pizza, and open it, and...that is what I see in the picture attached. For those of you that don't know, a typical Margherita Pizza does NOT look like that in any way, neither did the first Margherita I ordered from here. It'd be more fair for them if I didn't ask if anything was wrong. But I did. I always give restaurants a second chance, and this place tastes good so hopefully next time I place an order like this, they do a much better job. read more

They should change the name of their Grilled Chicken Salad to Tons of Lettuce with Tiny Little pieces of Dried Chicken. Never again.

So the pizza shop is under new ownership. A former employee has taken over the business. First order or pizza was of the same good quality as before. The menu has expanded some under the new owner. I like seeing jalapeño poppers on the menu. Hopefully the quality doesn't change in the future. I give in 5 stars because it is still one of the better options in the area that delivers and the pizza really is good compared to other offerings in the immediate area. read more

Tell you what. In the New England area where pizza places are a dime a dozen, this one is a silver dollar. I got two things here, and both of them stuck out as above average: A large 'Golden Fever' Chicken Pizza with jalepenos. The gold fever flavor is like a spicy BBQ sauce. It was amazing. Not only was the flavor great, the pizza was COVERED with the toppings - at least a half a pound of chicken and maybe 10+ jalepeno pieces per slice. Really impressed with that compared to the big box joints. I also ordered a steak bomb sandwich. This was loaded as well. I mean, really packed with meat - well over a pound. The taste was on point, too. The only downside is that they only have two really small high-tables for people to eat a small, quick lunch - not really set up for a family to eat there. But if they were closer to Worcester, I'd go there every weekend for our pizza/sandwich needs. Really worthwhile place and I DEFINITELY will be going again as soon as I get the chance. read more

We recently moved to Tewksbury and have gotten food from Pizza Mia about 6 times. Everything they make is delicious!! Our most recent experience was with their catering service for a big party we had and it was a total hit, we got chic broc ziti, lasagna, chicken wings, and two salads. Everyone loved the food! The prices are fair and the employees are all helpful, even loading the food into the car for us. Brian the owner was very nice and helpful when I came in to order for catering. I found this place 15 years ago and liked it . . .then got swayed away for 'Wicked' since that is where everyone was going (but then they moved to the new location, had two separate orders cold and that was enough for me!) Friendly staff upon my pick up and that's very important for success in any business. Unfortunately we was very disappointed in the product for our first experience. Our order was garlic parmesan wings and a large create your own pizza. Our expectations were the wings to be a dry rub parmesan, instead they were very greasy with a little parmesan cheese lightly dusted on them. The custom pizza was a sausage, mushrooms, bacon, grilled chicken, ham, onions and jalapeños cheese pizza. Finding the grilled chicken and the loved porky pig was nearly invisible to the eye or the taste test. But there was plenty of jalapeños to leave a trail from Tewksbury to South of the Border. The abundance of veggies did little to cover the sparse meat portions. Moving forward for better quality and that's the part that builds Great Success, don't be cheap! read more

Used to order from them all the time and their pizza was my favorite, but the food has declined in recent years. It seems like the pizza toppings are from a can, instead of fresh. The staff I've dealt with are also not as friendly as they used to be. The manager gave me sass on the phone for not saying up front I wanted to use a credit card for a delivery order and said "It's your job to tell us, not our job to ask you." Sorry, but every place else I've ordered from always asks 'how will you be paying'. Perhaps, it's just less reputable establishments that scold customers. There food is awesome and the service is even better. Pizza is the best in town no question. And they have plenty of other option besides just pizza, the dinners are great large portions and quality foods. Great grilled chicken salads. If you order delivery they are always quick and if you pick up the employees are always super friendly. All in all just really nice people just making really good food.
