    Pumpkin Freddo Cappuccino with caramel
    Caitlin M.

It has a great atmosphere, the service was kind and quick. The pastries were flavorful and delicious. I ordered the fig danish and a pumpkin ice cap. All very good. The pumpkin ice cap was so good I ended up getting a second. The fig danish was so good. I do wish they had the signs out right way with the pastry because I did also order an apricot danish that I thought had coffee crumbles on top but it was hazelnut. I am allergic to most tree nuts and when I bit into it I panicked thinking it was walnuts which I am allergic to. I stopped eating it and gave it to my friend to eat to play safe, when I went to order my second cappuccino they had put the signs out stating it was hazelnut nuts..... I know I could have asked but I get in a hurry and forgot to ask sometimes especially when I'm in new places. That is why I am not giving a low review. Because it was also my fault for not asking. I would go back but next time ask more questions if the signs are not out.

Everything was delicious and the salads were fresh! The restaurant is clean and pleasant and the staff is very friendly. Nice background music that is not loud!!

What a lovely cafe and bakery to stop by! Delicious Greek flavors and options, with a staff that's super friendly and a high energy space. It gets rlly crowded and popular here for good reason, so def stick it out and tables move fast, worth the wait! The bread here is just incredible, but the food options are amazing across the board. The roasted eggplant sandwich was the best I ever had, and the hummus was absolutely perfect. The Fredo Cappuccino is a must try, a creamy milk on top that needs to be mixed in, it's got a nice unique texture. Overall it's chaotic and so worth it, one of my favorite cafes around!

Anthos is an authentic Greek Bakery & Cafe with everything you could possibly want. I went to Greece on my honeymoon, and this instantly transported me there! They have bakery shelves full of baked goods, desserts, and breads to try! To order, you stand at the counter to place your order and then take a seat for them to deliver your order to you! When my group arrived, there was a long line and many of the tables were taken. My group tried the dip sampler and everything was absolutely delicious. I had the Tsoureki French Toast that was so light yet decadent and complex with flavors. I also got the Loukoumades, Greek donuts. I wish I tried these in Greece and didn't get a chance. They were soft yet crispy. One member of the group got the quiche, which was thick and PACKED with flavor. Absolutely delicious. Another friend got a Croque Madame, which wasn't super special. Overall, this place was absolutely delicious and I cannot wait to try many more of their dishes!

Anthos is so worth the 30 min drive from the city! I went late morning on a Saturday and it was busy, but we didn't have a problem getting a table. We sat on the back patio which was lovely and quiet. The food came out pretty fast considering how busy it was! The coffee took the longest because the espresso machine had broken down after we ordered, but they fixed it; it was worth the wait! I got the breakfast sandwich with bacon and avocado and my mind was blown. The brioche bun was so buttery and fresh. I ate it so fast. My friend got the avocado toast and loved it, she said the sourdough was great! We both got pumpkin spice Freddo cappuccinos and loved them; not too sweet, perfectly balanced syrup to coffee ratio! We also got some pastries to go: almond croissant, ginger molasses cookie, chocolate chip walnut cookie, baklava. All were so delicious! Definitely one of the best almond croissants in the Pittsburgh region! All the staff were so nice, and handled the busyness with grace!

I have had the best experience getting off the willow station train and walking over for a nice early dinner. Food was exceptional, Spanakopita with a side salad. Service was great, knowing to walk over to the counter (helpful reminder, before getting a seat.) ambient peaceful ambiance, enjoyable and pleasant to request a macha latte as a drink on this chilly evening.

Desserts were pretty good but not out of this world. Food otherwise was the same. I'm not sure if it was because of so much hype that I was a bit disappointed. I do want to give it another try because of all the good reviews. FYI: place is pretty small and you order before you sit so who knows if there will be a table by the time you order.

Loved Anthos! Tried it for breakfast over the weekend and it did not disappoint. Brought my almost 2 year old son with me and they had high chairs available as well. I got the avocado toast and added eggs and ordered him the kids scrambled eggs and added cheese. Absolutely delicious! He devoured all of it and wanted more. All of their breads and pastries look to die for, I have a nut allergy so I couldn't indulge. The staff was awesome about my allergy and notified the kitchen. Will be back next time to sip on some coffee too!

I always have loved Anthos! It's close by to our home. The staff is always so lovely. I love their yogurt bowls from here. And their coffees are always made with so much love.

Breakfast sandwich, side of lemon potatoes

My daughter is staunch on her anti- brunch take, so I've only ordered delivery from Anthos... up until now! I had a bit of kiddo-free time, so I decided to trek over to this adorable little place for a bit of "me time". When I arrived, it was super busy! The staff was wonderful, and didn't bat an eyelash about making sure that everyone was taken care of quickly and immaculately. I got a brioche to go, but was starving so I snuck a few bites in while waiting on my sandwich. This was probably my downfall. The sandwich and side of potatoes were gigantic! The sandwich had a heavy amount of eggs and two slices of bacon. I also opted to add avocado. While tasty, I am definitely used to a harder bread being used. The bun was very soft and fluffy, and surprisingly held up pretty well to the heft of the eggs. It was a bit messy, but didn't get soggy as would be expected. The lemony potatoes were delicious. I could have just ordered those and been happy. My caffe freddo was so delicious! I would go back just for one of those. All in all, I'm pretty sure my kid is going to be pretty mad at me when I make her come to brunch with me here soon...

Unbelievable experience. I got the spicy feta danish which had creamy feta, béchamel, and spicy roasted tomatoes which were juicy and vibrant in flavor. Best pastry I have EVER had. My friend got the French toast which was so soft and sweet with something that tasted like a date syrup, pistachios, and cherries. Also, the best French toast I have ever had. It took about 25 minutes on a Sunday morning to be served after ordering. To top it all of that, the personalities of the workers are fantastic - such sweet and kind people!!! Can't wait to come back! Amazing experience

Anthos is an amazing spot for authentic Greek pastries, breakfast, and lunch! Highly recommend if you're anywhere within a 30 minute radius, trust me, it's worth the trip. We went on a Sunday morning, and while it was very busy, we were easily able to get a seat on the back patio. If you're with a group. I'd suggest getting an array of pastries and small dishes, so that you can sample as much as possible. We honestly couldn't pick a favorite, it's all so good! The waitstaff are so kind and knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend!

Am looking forward to being back! My server was Tolia (sorry if I'm misspelling/misremembering) and she did an AMAZING job. She was super friendly, made awesome menu recommendations and was a delight to chat to. She recommended I start with the char grilled octopus and this was delicious. It came with capers and a grilled lemon and olive oil and was beautifully presented. The potion was easily finished by just me, so if you have more than 2 people I'd recommend getting more than 1 order of these. It's so delicious. I was then picking between the pastitsio and the moussaka. I was told they both have a strong nutmeg flavor which was not a problem for me. I decided on the moussaka and it was so delicious. It did have a strong nutmeg flavor but not in an overwhelming way. It came with a bechamel sauce on top and layers of eggplant with ground beef tomato and potato. It sort of reminded me of a shepherds pie if you're not as familiar with Greek food. The portion was HUGE - could easily split between 2. I ate almost half of it but couldn't eat the rest although I wish I could've. It was so good. The cocktail I ordered was a nectar spritz (something with "nectar" in the title at least) and genuinely was one of the best cocktails I've had. The server, Christos, who is 86 years old, came out to greet me as I was looking at the menu on the window. He certainly has a lot of charm and decided to take a chance. He doesn't understand English too well but definitely knows how to upsell. He asked me if I wanted hummus and bread, so I naturally thought it was part of the meal, but it was an additional four dollars. I ordered the great version of the Shepherd pie and he asked me if I wanted boiled potatoes since it was his grandmother's recipe. Again, I should have asked, but didn't realize I was going to be charging another five dollars as well as for anchovies on the salad. He seemed a little offended when I said I didn't really enjoy the Onassis dessert which he raved about and suggested that if I didn't like it, he would not charge me. Because I did not, and wanted to try the baklava sundae, he instead deliver the regular Baklava although it was not very crunchy and actually pretty soft and soggy like it had been sitting around and then microwaved. Probably the worst I've ever had. But he didn't charge me for the Onassis dessert. The salad was actually very good, particularly because of the added anchovies. The boiled potatoes were not anything special so I would pass if offered another chance. Sorry, grandmother! The main dish was also not very fresh and the Lamb tasted a little gamey. The "complementary" vegetable with the meal was green beans, which were very soggy and overcooked. Similarly, the rice tasted like it had been sitting around and prepared days ago. I also found two hairs on my plate. For $50, I would've expected a little bit more other than some interesting stories of how he used to work for Jackie O. But the worker who was sitting in the dining room and doing his own belching contest certainly added to the ambience as he was organizing the cutlery. Now I can understand why the place was so empty. I had planned to go to gaucho's down the block, but the wait was 30 minutes. Next time I will go to gaucho's instead.
