Out an about during the week and had a hankering for a gyro. Lo and behold Rodos right down the street in White Oak. Heads up signage is tough to see but address is accurate. I'm running around and just needed a little bit of some yummy Greek Gyro to settle the score. Well sorry no pictures, but let me tell you the Gyro was top notch. Now question if you are hungry this selection will take the edge off and completely satisfy you. In fact I only ate half of the Gyro. I sat down and the order was ready so quickly I barely got comfortable. Staff were friendly and extremely nice. In fact I'm sure on my next circle through the area this is top of the list. Great Greek spot in the white oak area! All the food is reasonably priced and portions are large. Reasonably fresh too. I got to try their baklava cheesecake, gyro, and spanakopita. The gyro was very nice. Filled with meat that was solidly seasoned, and pretty fresh vegetables. Basic pita and pretty basic tzatziki, but still very good. The spanakopita was nice. Perfectly crispy on the sides but filled with feta and a reasonable amount of spinach. Flavorful without being too salty. The baklava cheesecake was surprisingly good. Usually it has a fridge taste to it, but clearly this one was fresh. It was creamy and not over the top sweet. Really enjoyed it. read more

I don't even know where to begin! if you go you HAVE TO get a gyro. their meat is AMAZING!!!!! also, their fries are seriously the best fries I have ever had. they are seasoned so well and always cooked so well. my coworker has also gotten a pasta from them (i forget the name but it has tomatoes, spinach, feta, etc) and it was sooooo delicious you need to give this place a try. the people there are so nice and friendly and just so down to earth love it there!! read more

Saturday night during the holiday season and I wanted something that was not a chain and this place seemed interesting. Drove in and they only take cash, and the seating was closed when we arrived. It's one of those places that screams of "we make good food" but we don't need to accommodate you to eat here. Haha GYRO WITH HOT PEPPERS Really, it was a decent Gyro for Westmoreland County, and ide grab another one when I'm in the area. However, I would like to see them cut the meat much thinner. Wow! What pleasant surprise! This must be a well hidden secret and we are so glad we found this place. A little nervous being the only ones there besides another couple for a Monday dinner crowd. The waitress was wonderful and she recommended the Chicken wirh olives and feta pita... so I decided to give it a try and ventured away from my usual Gyro menu item .It was AMAZING! Served with a smile and some lovely lemon oil which was so fresh and delightful! My Bf had the Gyro which could have fed three people ! Loved the Greek ice tea also! We live on the North Side and generally do not venture to this part of town for food but I will say we will be back as this place is WORTH IT! read more

Absolutely delicious! My family just came from rodos and we loved it! They had some of the biggest and best gyros I've ever seen. A gyro with a full pound of lamb cost only $5.50 and $6.00 with fries. I cannot recommnend it enough! Cheap and delicious! read more

A simple little place. I was a bit disappointed after reading the reviews, I guess I was expecting more with the stellar reviews. It didn't feel or taste that spectacular. It was good, more like a sandwich shop than a restaurant. Not a huge selection on the menu. I had the gyro, it was super stuffed, something you eat more like a salad at first, then pick up. The taziki sauce was good. The Greek fries were just thick cut fries with a very light dusting of oregano or something. Not much to brag on. They do only take cash. But that is not a big deal to me. The fries are excellent, as is the house salad, which is identical to their Greek salad, but smaller and half the price. Prices are very reasonable. I had a lamb burger there, since I love lamb, but it was unfortunately very dry. My wife and I started with the Pita Maria - seasoned pita chips with artichoke hearts, spinach, diced tomatoes, red onions, feta cheese and Greek sauce. This was a great appetizer. I great combination of ingredients and the pita chips added a nice crunch to go along with the . For my entree I got the Roman Greeco - a gyro with tomato pesto and cheese. This was an interesting gyro. I was unsure about the tomato pesto with my gyro, The pesto was a good change but I think I would prefer a more traditional gyro with tzatziki. The portion was huge, I was only able to eat about half of it. The service was great. The wait staff was attentive and checked on us throughout the meal. The staff is very friendly and the service is great! We usually get takeout because of the proximity to our house. We always start with the grape leaves. There are 6 to an order and they are plump and tasty! Lots of flavor and are kept moist with a lemony/olive oil drizzle. I could eat an order myself, we usually devour them standing in the kitchen before we open the rest of the food! The gyros are ENORMOUS!!! Do yourself a favor by ordering an extra pita and sauce, it cost a couple bucks but it's worth it! You basically get 2 gyros in one!!! The Greek salad with chicken and Greek vinaigrette is phenomenal!! So many flavors combining to make a beautiful salad!! We always finish with their homemade Baklava.... It is just like your Yaya would make!! The honey, phyllo, and nuts are amazing! Today they had double chocolate and it was great! This is the best Greek food in the area you should definitely go! We picked up a couple gyros for dinner to eat at home. They were enormous! There was no way I could eat this thing as is, I had to remove some of the meat just to get my mouth around it but it gave me a bunch of leftovers and I made like 4 more gyros out of it at home. Holy big ass (excuse my french) gyro! Yes, they only accept cash, but you cannot beat the taste and/or value. The amount of gyro meat you get on one is enough to make two out of! I picked up a takeout order from Rodos last night and it was just as fantastic as my dine-in experience back in November. I called and ordered the usual Rodos Gyro and Pita Maria when I was about 20 minutes away... when I arrived, it had just come out of the kitchen and I was out the door in a few minutes. I really wish they'd franchise or expand so I could have one of these gems in the Southside, but it's definitely worth the trip!
