I came in randomly on Friday to browse and decided to get Mother's Day gifts there. The girly pop checking me out was SO nice. She wrapped everything individually in the paper, blacked out the price, gave me gift receipts and extra tissue paper/bags for the gifts because I bought multiple. It was refreshing for someone to take such good care of my purchase and not just throw it into a bag like a savage. read more

False advertising....kind of icky. They have this whole rack of 50% off sale items, I tried on several things and I was ready to buy like 4 different things, it's a pricy place. Very disappointed to find that one of the items I tried was in fact not a part of the sale. It wasn't one loose item. It was the scalloped culotte pants and there were like 5 of them in different sizes all on the sale rack. Very disappointed to find out they wouldn't honor the sale. It's a mistake on the part of the manager, who told me she put them on that rack. Especially considering it was the store manager herself who put them there. They were on sale on the website too. Confuse why she said they were actually $111 in store too, which would have made them a sale item, meaning they should have honored the 50% off anyways considering they have a giant sign that says 50% off all sale. Really confusing and disappointing. I ended up leaving with nothing. This particular store is full to the brim with sale items as well. Now it's clear why. They're not honoring the sales no matter, I'll go spend my money as nordstrom or Aritzia I guess, never had an issue like this there. read more

Nate is great! I had a wonderful experience yesterday at the store. Stopped in to find my size in the Colette pant and was warmly greeted by Nate in the dressing room area. It was like shopping with a friend. He gave me tips on how the different materials stretch and how to wash to prevent shrinkage. He then gave me input on the fit and if what size would work best. Poor, poor service. A blond hair woman, around my age, (40's) with double sleeve work f behind the counter said "hi" to me since I was next in line. I informed her I had returns to make, then she said "oh, I have to go in the back, someone else will help you". What, since I have returns she is incapable of providing customer service? Why did she initiate conversation, having me head over to her register? Then the other girl whom I had to wait on was terse as if I was an inconvenience! This location needs to step up their customer service game. I do not come here often, but purchase online and sometimes those said purchases do not fit, but if dealing with this lack of kindness is a normal atrocity one has to deal with coming into the store, one may re-think shopping at Anthro. read more

I would love to decorate my house Anthropologie style. But knowing me, Ill put the wrong ecclectic things together and end up with a messy looking house instead. Anyway, I love the bohemian clothing. They're not cheap but if you choose your item right, it's something you'll keep and use for years. Example, I have a shirt I've had for 2 decades now. It's "outside the current trend" therefore, in my opinion, doesn't really go out of style since it was never really "in style" to begin with. Hehehe! One star off simply because the store organization was beyond weird. There was a wall of cardboard boxes that blocked walk ways, they had racks at odd angles that made it hard for the traffic to go through. It wasn't the ideal floor set up. Aside from their weird set up, staff was friendly, clothes and other items were neatly displayed, I felt like I found what I needed and got out without feeling any type of way. Could it be true?! An Anthropologie in my neck of the woods?!?!?! When signage for a new Anthro store went up in my neighborhood mall, I had to suppress my shrieks of joy, being that I was by myself and did not want to look like a crazed maniac. Anthropologie is BY FAR my favorite store. Santa, are you listening? MY FAVORITE!!!! I am in love with their dresses, tops, sweaters, coats, necklaces, home décor, the list goes on and on. Now, if I could only afford to shop there regularly, that would be even better. Thank goodness for the sale racks. Even though I'm stoked I now have one within 5 minutes from me, this particular location is far from being the best one. It's pretty small and the variety is not as wide. The Grove and Third Street Promenade in SaMo are definitely better, but when you're in the valley, one can't be picky. The managers and staff here are all great- not at all snobby and very helpful. They'll start a dressing room if they see that you're arms are full, and they'll happily check on you and suggest other items that you might like. I always feel like a million bucks when I leave the store with a bag in my hand. And on the days that I leave empty handed, I get depressed and keep hoping that I win the lottery very soon. read more

I drove 30 minutes to come to this location specifically for a few gifts for a friend who recently got married. I can't remember the last time I actually stepped foot inside a physical mall - and now I remember why. Online shopping is so much easier! This location was very small and their selection wasn't great, nor were the staff very helpful. In the end, I did find a few small things for a gift but I felt really limited with what I had to chose from. And when I finally did make my selection and made my way to the cash register, the employee was not in a good mood, which made the experience even more difficult. Next time I'll make sure to plan ahead so I can avoid this location and their small selection and I will just order from the website. Avoid, if you can. read more

This is a smaller Anthropologie, yet they seem to get a good amount of inventory in there without it feeling cluttered. My wife loves this location, especially their sale section. She's always finding great deals on good clothes. Employees are also very friendly and helpful, without it feeling like they're breathing down your neck. read more

I would give 0 star if I could. I visited the store on 02/25/22. Jessica was on the register not acknowledging any of the customers. She was rude, unwelcoming, and had an attitude. I will never step a foot in this store and will not give any business to this company ever again. I am 8 months pregnant. I was trying to Purchase some stuff when my sister and I went towards the register, then I decided to put an item back because I changed my mind , to help the employees out, I walked to put my item back, so as my sister was finishing her transaction, I put my stuff on the register trying to buy, then Jessica decided that she wants to help someone else in line instead of me next. Dawn was so amazing with me, she is a saint. Dawn made me feel so special. She came up to me and asked if I needed help. I told her I was looking for a certain sweater for my girlfriend. The size I was looking for was not out on the floor. But there was a medium in the color I wanted on one of the manikins. She bent over backwards to help me get it, Dawn took apart the manikin and was able to get the size I needed. She has such a great personality she is a huge asset to your company. There's nothing like people running and screaming through a mall shouting "shooter" to bring people together quickly. The staff at Anthropologie responded so professionally and calmly to this horrifying situation, escorting all the customers to their back storeroom, doing multiple passes to make sure no customers were left behind, and assuring us all of our safety. They offered us snacks and water, hospitality and kindness in a time when many of us were so shaken and on edge. I've shopped at this location many times before and always had very pleasant experiences with their customer service, but after this last experience, I just want to say that the team at Anthropologie this afternoon deserves a medal. It turned out there was a robbery at another store at the other end of the mall, but given the times we live in, you can never take anything for granted or be too cautious. I will remember this afternoon always and I am so grateful for the wonderful humans that work at this location who kept us all safe and calm. Love, love, love this location. It's so big and laid out so nicely. I think it's my favorite location so far. It's spacious but not too huge where you feel like you may have missed something. The girls that work here are the best!!! Everyone is on it here. I am always greeted, given fun and welcomed comments on item selections, and always leave feeling good about any money or just time spent there. Love going here for statement jewelry pieces or just something different for a top or dress. Their home section here is also fun to just browse. So happy to have an Anthro in the hood. read more

I ordered a phone case and a dress online and unfortunately they cancel the dress order, probably it was sold out. I called and ask them to ship the phone case out to me since I live very far from this location, it would make no sense for me to drive that long distance just to pick up a phone case but they wouldn't do it without shipping charge. The phone case cost $8.99 and their shipping charge is expensive, I never have problem with calling the store and they would happy to send the item to me and waive shipping charge. I'd spent so much money on Anthropologie online and in store over the years, when did they change the policy or just that associate answering the phone today, she sounds not nice to customer, very poor customer service at this location. read more

The Anthro in Topanga will always have the worse customer service. I'd rather go to TO store but sometimes I go here since I live in Woodland Hills. No ever greets me, I have to ask for the floor sales people for a room every time. This time my husband and I went to mall since we were evacuated. I had a bag in the car for shoe return. They apparently don't take shoes in store return anymore btw. Bad move Anthro. I asked them to help me and the floor people kept curtly saying No. I finally had to ask the manager once and she says of course we've been taking some returns here and there since it's a new policy and all. I really like to shop at this store especially at this location in canoga park. I truly like the lay out of the store. It seems like the employee really cares and tries to help you by giving them there honest and true opinion. Yeah the prices are expensive but I feel that the quality of the close is worth it. Wow, what incredible customer service! Not only does this Anthropologie store location have excellent selection and a killer sale section, but its employees go above and beyond the call of duty to help customers. I visited this location in the hopes of finding a nice duvet cover on sale. This is hard to accomplish since Anthropologie's duvet covers are beautiful, well-made, and sell really fast! There was one duvet cover in particular that I was interested in. It was sold online in a nice neutral, cream color but it was completely sold out online and in most stores. This store location only had the bright orange color. The employee, Mickey, spent over a half hour calling all the Anthropologie stores across the different states that had the duvet cover in the color I was looking for. After calling a few stores we finally found a location in Oregon that had the duvet cover in the size I wanted! Mickey was super sweet, funny, and helped make my duvet cover dreams come true. The duvet cover arrived in less than a week from Oregon. I did not have to pay sales tax (because Oregon is amazing like that), no shipping charge. The package arrived in a box, the duvet cover and standard shams were wrapped in cute orange tissue paper and the Oregon store location left me a personal handwritten card, telling me that they hope I love the bedding. Holy cow, I cannot believe service like this exists! read more

I love Anthropologie because their approach to creativity in clothing design makes regular life experiences so much more colorful and special! I also highly enjoy their line of knobs and kitchen-ware. The knobs in my linen closets bloom with flowers while my measuring cups draw inspiration from wild animals rather impressionable kitchen technology. I just tried to return a $300 dollar dress to this store, and instead was told I could not make the return by a very rude employee. I bought this dress in SF where I live, brought it down to San Diego this weekend to wear to my sister's bridal shower, put the dress on, and the zipper then ripped. I am in LA for one day, and decided to return the dress to this location while I'm in town. I went into this Anthropolgie to return the dress and the woman who was acting as MOD today (I think her name was Meigan - spelling?) was very rude and short with me. I am a "friends and family" member to Anthro, spend a lot of money at the store, and am a loyal customer. This woman told me that I could not return the dress with out a receipt...even though I have a "friends and family" card that tracks my purchases. I even still had the original tag. This woman told me there was nothing she could do with out the receipt in a very rude and condescending tone. I was told by my family member who works at another Anthropologie that any store would most definitely take the item back...well not this Anthro. She didn't even try to accommodate me or look up my purchases on the card. I was under the impression that all Anthropolgies care about their customers and want to provide excellent customer service. Not this one and not this acting MOD for the day. She didn't know the protocol at all, and I know this because my family member has worked at Anthropolgies for years. I was VERY disappointed in this store and will never return. I think that Meigan's attitude needs to be checked when dealing with customers, and maybe that branch should reconsider using her as a MOD in the future. If a tall, brunette, older-ish woman greets you with a fake smile, stay away, she won't be of any help. read more

Ever since urban outfitters took over this brand has gone down hill. Prices jacked up and quality went down. This particular location is ran by a bunch of ditsy women who need to rely less on charming and chit-chatting and more on customer service, efficiency and problem solving. Don't get me wrong, they're nice, BUT totally unqualified to run retail. Had a major issue with an in store online purchase- (the item wasn't in store so THEY ordered it online for me) but it never came, long story short the cashier who rang me up entered 1/2 of the items as an in store purchase and the other half as online. After getting to the bottom of the whole ordeal, and having to go back to this location AGAIN the manager did nothing to incentivize me to ever want to shop here again. No gift card, no over the top apology, let alone responsibility taken on behalf of her staff. She kept stepping away while helping me too and actually handed me the store phone to call the online department!!! I'm not kidding. I felt like I WORKED there, not like a valued patron. read more

Never shop here because the customer service here is absolutely abhorrent! I asked for help from 3 different people to find a jacket my sister was looking for that we saw in their October catalogue. First off the first girl said she'd look for the catalogue. She never found me in the store. After waiting over 10 minutes I went looking for her. She avoided me and I asked her again clearly and loudly if she found the catalogue. She had me follow her up to the reigister and meanwhile helped another customer so I stood there waiting again. She hands me the catelogue as if I can't read. I tell her that this is the September catalogue when I clearly asked her twice for the October one. She says there may be one in the back, so tell her I will go and look there. I march towards the back and ask an older woman who was working back there if she had it and she said no. Meanwhile my sister and I have now described this jacket about four times to three different people. Mind you that this old lady is the same woman who several weeks I found out told my other sister that she didn't know how to hold clothes in the fitting room. She then grabbed the hangers from her hand and my sister said openly ouch. No October catalogue....not a one in the store. Then they ask if I looked it up online on the iPad. I do not shop with my iPad. If they had access to their catalogue why not share it with us immediately to save everyone's time and mostly our energy and patience. They had no clue which jacket my sister was referring to. This store has very bad customer service especially if you don't look like them. read more

Megan absolutely loves her job and along with that, she has a great "eye" for clothes I 9 out of 10 times, love! I usually come in (in a hurry) but no matter what, they greet you by "Name" and I am not always so easy, being in a hurry, etc. but always, Megan and the wonderful gal with short brown hair (a side parted bob, forgive me on the name) change the tone of my day, as they genuinely love their jobs!! I will never shop at this anthropologie again. I ordered an item online to be picked up in store. I picked up the item tried the size 28 Levi's wedgie icon on and needed the size 27. The store had the 27 and I wanted those obviously. The clerk said " ok so I'm not going to be able to return the online order. I'm going to have to cancel the order and the hold on your online charge will release in 1to2 business days. I will cancel the online pick up in store order (the size 28) and you will have to purchase the 27". In my head I'm thinking why not just do an even exchange. I waited for a couple of days to pass and the online pick up in store item was never canceled. So basically I was barged for two items. I called customer service told them the situation and luckily they refunded me my money. The next time I went in I explained the situation to the clerk that was helping me she apologized and really went out of her way by gifting me a coupon and a candle. Very poor customer service! After having returned a size L dress which I purchased online, I went to the store to return for. Size M. I was told that they did not have my size in store and that they can order it online which I accepted and paid for. Five minutes later I found the dress in size M and went to exchange the online purchase for the dress in store. I was told initially that I have to purchase the dress In store and wait for the online dress to arrive and then return. I insisted that they needed to cancel the online order as it was their poor customer service to not even look to see if the dress was available. Outcome, I cancelled my online order and did not purchase the dress in M. I will not shop this store. read more

To whom it may concern. I just found out today that my order was cancelled. I am so disappointed in the way this whole transaction was handled. I had tried on the leggings at the store in a size Medium. They were slightly loose on me, but I loved them so much I was willing to purchase them. The cashier told me they were available online in a small , and ordered it for me at the store with free shipping. I was so happy the get the smalls, so I didn't purchase the mediums. I even checked the website a day later and saw the same leggings available online in all sizes. 2 weeks passed, and I didn't receive the leggings. I called this morning, and was told it was coming from a store. Then minutes after the call, I received an email that the order was cancelled. I immediately called the service dept and was told the leggings are out of stock. I am so disappointed - how could this happen? I could have purchased the medium leggings and now I have nothing. I would like to know exactly what happened to my order. This makes me not want to shop at your store- excellent customer service is what I expect from a store like yours- and this whole experience fell far short of my expectations. Please respond.
