A nice place to shop for clothes for babies and toddlers! The store was bright and clean and easy to navigate. I was surprised they didn't have carts with a baby seat in them, only the ones you roll behind you on the ground. I brought my son with me and I was banking on the fact I could just pop him in the cart so an easy shopping experience. I just assumed a children's store would have something like that so parents can shop with their kids. The quality of the clothing is nice, prices are kind of all over the place. They do have a sale section that has some gems in it and when I went they had a bunch of sales. Shoes are kind of limited and they only have toys for super small babies. I came in to get my son a couple outfits for the holidays and I was happy to walk out with a couple great options. The service here was just OK. The cashier was clearly Ill and coughing a ton but at least she was wearing a mask albeit, under her nose. read more

Fabricated Policies & Repeated Obstruction of a Valid Refund Carter's explicitly states on its official website and printed receipts that any new, non-worn items may be returned within 90 days of purchase. My return met every reasonable expectation of a valid return--the items were brand new, unworn, with all tags attached, and the return fell within the 90-day timeframe. Yet, I was subjected to three separate, baseless obstructions, demonstrating a clear intent to prevent a lawful refund: First Obstruction - Fabricated $200 Return Limit The employee falsely claimed that returns over $200 could not be processed, despite no such limitation appearing in Carter's official return policy or printed receipts. When I clarified that my return was only for approximately $130, she reluctantly proceeded, already demonstrating bad faith in handling valid returns. Second Obstruction - False Claim That I Had to Be "In the System" She then claimed that I could not process a return because I was not registered in Carter's system, an arbitrary and undisclosed requirement. No written policy supports this pre-registration mandate, nor was it disclosed at the time of purchase--a clear violation of California's Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA) (Cal. Civ. Code § 1750 et seq.), which prohibits imposing return restrictions not disclosed at the time of sale. She explicitly stated, "That's not my problem. You should be the one taking action." I presented a valid return within the allotted time. The items were brand new, unworn, with tags attached. I provided my information (when unlawfully required). Required me to return to the store again to yet another time attempt to rectify a purely internal malfunction issue. I will not be returning to the store after experiencing humiliation, emotional distress, and the outright violation of my consumer rights. This was not my obligation in the first place, and Carter's employee should have been fully aware of that. 3. At this point, this is no longer purely a question of monetary damages, as the refund amount is negligible compared to the blatant consumer law violations and the emotional distress caused. The real issue is Carter's failure to uphold consumer protection laws and the harm inflicted upon customers through outright misrepresentation of policies, humiliation, and undue procedural burdens. Carter's employs undertrained staff who clearly lack the necessary knowledge of corporate policies and consumer protection laws. These employees must be educated on the legal consequences of their words and actions, which are directly attributable to Carter's as a corporate entity. 4. This Issue May Be a Widespread Problem - Potential Class Action Liability It is highly likely that this employee has treated other customers the same way, particularly those unaware of their legal rights. Many consumers may have suffered financial harm, emotional distress, or undue procedural burdens as a result of similar misconduct and deceptive practices. read more

Pros: cute clothes. Reasonably priced Cons: very few options for older girls. Unhelpful staff BUYER BEWARE: if you see something advertised online do NOT expect to pay that price in the store. They do NOT price match their own Carters website. So ridiculous. A $15 item online can be priced at $20+ in store. Their solution was for me to order online and come back in 3-7 days for the item that that had in store. We don't live in the area so I will no longer be shopping at Carters. read more

I agree with another reviewer that unfortunately most of the clothes online can never be picked up at the store. If there was a way to make this happen quicker that would be awesome. We've come in this location a few times, but most recently we came in on Black Friday 2020. As understandable, it wasn't a busy store but there were still a few other customers bargain shopping. All of the employees saw us come in & greeted us. I know they're trained to do so, but it's always a nice little thing to be greeted when you come in. As we shopped around, everyone kept a safe distance, even employees. When we needed some help finding something, the employee took the time to bring us around the store to where it would be, while also making sure she wasn't bringing us in close proximity to both herself and other customers. In this day & age, it's the little things. The store was kept clean & organized. We didn't feel like we had to hold or breath or wear gloves. And checkout was with minimal contact. As far as the deals go, everything was wonderfully priced, and then there were the Black Friday deals on top of that. With both of our sons growing like weeds, it's great having a place like Carters we can go to to get clothes at a great price. And it's good to know that in 2020, it'll be a safe, clean option should we need to do in store shopping. read more

Carters is a great place if you know what you want and know where everything in the store is. I came into the store to find some preemie clothes for my son. Some family friends told me that they had a nice selection of preemie clothes and because of the size, it's hard to come buy. I asked an employee for some help because I had no idea what section of the store this particular size of clothes was and the employee said she would get to me in a few moments and after browsing for about half an hour, she never came. Since I was there so long, I ended up finding it on my own. It's a good thing I was not in a rush or anything. After I got to the counter, the girl apologized for not helping me and said she had forgotten. I am giving three stars because although I felt the customer service was not that great, their prices are good and they had a sale going on which is always nice. read more

Walked in here recently with my wife and young child and the store went back a long way. They have a ton of clothing, much of it on-sale. We loaded up our baby's wardrobe. She'll be impressing the locals for months to come with her new style. My only wish is there was more to this store -- there are only a few toys! And it feels like a store from any era. Where's the video displays or interactivity to keep husbands intrigued? Service was moderately helpful. They were folding clothes and putting them on shelves. This location is huge; they have a clearance section towards the very back of the store. You can find anything / everything here; and the sales are always great. I'm pretty bummed about how the return policy for Carter's has changed to 90 days now, instead of "return anytime" option. The sales lady indicated that the policy only changed in July 2017 / summer of this year. I love this store! It's actually a really bad thing that it's just down the street from me because I'm always here buying things for my little guy. This is by far the best store to buy baby clothes. They have a huge selection and great prices. And it's never hard to find a coupon to make the cheap even cheaper. The only complaint I have about this store is that there never seems to be enough cashiers working. I went here to exchange a gift for store credit and it was easy peasy. I was afraid they would say no or I had to return it by mail but it was no problem - also everything I bought was cheaper than what it said on the tag- like $16 and $14.80 vs $22 and $24 so that was unexpected but nice. Although the address is on Canoga Ave, the store is actually closer to Victory Blvd. What a terrific place for discounts on quality baby and toddler's clothing. Offering 30% to 70% discount on items, some of the items are mislabled. I came to this store on Saturday to buy a last minute gift for a friends baby and when I got there I noticed there was a group of people outside the store I asked what happen and they didn't know why it was locked when the store hours said they were open . I always come in here to buy things for my nieces and nephews, being an outlet store they have everything on sale and fairly good prices. How can you be a new mom to adorable infant and NOT love carter's? This store is the only store where I walk in and want to buy everything that's not meant for me lol. Clothes are way too cute for words for my little girl and they have sales year round so that's what makes it affordable. They also have a rewards program where you get a point per dollar and when you reach 100, you get $10 off! Too easy to do that here. Oh and if you walk away with a $40 or more purchase you get an extra 20% off! Lines can get long here, but they move pretty fast. They also have promotions where customers can line up for prizes. I won a box of wipes! As a mom, I was ecstatic. Others got $10 gift cards to the store and Starbucks. The contests aren't that crazy cuz it's a baby store, so the target consumers are limited. Return policy is easy, which is also great. Skip Hop products are also sold here, but are not included in the regular store sales. But you can use your rewards points toward them! This is my first time at any Carters store and I loved my experience! First off, there's an abundance of parking for the time of day I came and is located in one of the quieter and more lowkey plazas around the Topanga Westfield Mall. The store's huge, unlike other stores that may have a section for babies, there isn't much of a selection. So many cute things for both girls and boys and they also have a bit of a unisex collection as well. I came here ready with a coupon plus they were having a 50% off the entire store sale already PLUS it was the day before Veterans Day so I was able to use a military discount as well. The clearance section in the back is huge has an abundance of clothes in different sizes. I ended up buying around 30 items that was supposed to be over $110, but I only ended up spending around $80 something! Service was a bit slow and quite a bit of a line, but it didn't bother me as I knew everything I was at great quality and great price. The cashier I had was pleasant as well, very friendly and she was the only worker in the store greeting everybody that walked in.
