I wish I could give this location zero stars. I drove out of my way to the Pasadena store after the Anthropologie app showed my size in stock for pants I needed for an event. When I arrived, staff seemed reluctant to check the back, and the item was not available. A sales associate suggested a different size and color, despite my explaining multiple times that it would not work. I also shared that I had tried to order the item online for overnight delivery but was unable to. She then offered to have the store ship it, which initially seemed helpful. However, once I provided my address, the process became disorganized. The associate appeared confused about delivery timing, became increasingly unhelpful and extremely rude, and was unable to confirm when I would receive the item. She kept saying you "should" get them by X date. I explained again that I needed to overnight them. That was four days ago, and I still have not received my order. Customer service has only told me it is "being processed," with no clear resolution. They said it was out for delivery when it hadn't even shipped yet (still hasn't shipped). My payment was taken immediately, yet I still do not have the item I needed for my event. Had I known I wouldn't have bothered with the order at all. This experience was a significant waste of time and energy, especially given the distance I traveled. read more

This place requested Yelp remove my comment so i will post my experience with this business and location again: I wish I could give no stars. I will never shop at this store again. I had a horrible experience. I was with a friend and we were trying on clothes. The lady in the dressing room area was rude, put me in the back dressing room away from everyone else trying on clothes, didn't want my friend to be in the open room right next to me, gave out a deep sigh any time I asked her questions, made we wait while she had a whole conversation on her Walkie ( while using her finger and telling me to hold on and wait) before addressing my questions while I was standing directly in front of her, then proceeded to act as if everything I was asking, which was two questions, was the most difficult thing in the world to answer all while making it seem like my existence was bothering her. She was very dismissive. If me shopping at a store that pays you to assist me is an inconvenience for you then find a new job. I will never send my friends here, promote here or shop here again. Lastly, for verification, I watched her interaction with all the other skinny Caucasian customers and she was the epitome of kind and helpful. Went into this store at 1:30pm on 3/28/26 and the greeters were all lovely. However, the 4 employees working at the fitting room entrance were so rude and ignored me trying to get their attention. One of them grabbed bunches of clothes to put back out and swept right by me as I started to say "excuse me" to get her attention. They all just kept speaking to each other and helping customers who were of certain races and ethnicities and not others. I put the clothes I wanted to try on back and went on my way. I thought people were bummed about brick and mortar stores closing. Guess not. I hope the greeters are able to move on to work with nicer and more professional people in the future. read more

Wife likes it, especially their blankets, she usually likes to stop in when they have a sale. Staff is always very friendly and attentive. Prices on non sale items can be a little high, but they have sales throughout the year. Selection is usually very good. read more

I visited my local Anthropologie recently to return an item that I'd purchased in-store and picked up there (not online). I had already used the website to generate a return label--no tagging prompt appeared, and the label showed I could return it. But when I brought it into the store, things went sideways. At the counter, the associate visibly frowned, then said, "Oh, you used it and the tags are gone? That's not valid." I explained that the return label didn't require tags, since it was already generated online. She still insisted the tags were mandatory and called over a manager. The manager echoed the same stance, though neither referenced any policy stating that tags must be present beyond 30 days after purchase. Confused, I called customer service afterward--and they informed me I could simply mail the item back using the QR code, no tags required. That contradicts what I was told in-store, especially since the label had already been issued without mentioning tags. read more

I love Anthropologie!!!! Doesn't matter what location I love their stuff. The candles, the home decor is my absolute favorites. I always find unique items here for my house. I also love gifting my family and friends with beautiful things. Today I purchased a set of expresso cups, a cream pitcher and a cookbook for my niece who is a newlywed. The candleholders and some candles are on sale this weekend. The prices are on the higher side but there are a lot of unique and beautiful things here. Stopped in to pick up an online order (and again a few days later when the online order did not fit sadly). The cashiers were friendly and speedy during both trips, and it was extremely easy to make the return, all I needed was the order and the packaging it came in. I generally think they have a good, well-organized selection but it is fairly pricey. This location is also a bit smaller than some of the others I've been to. They do NOT have a large home goods section (just a few shelves) or a wedding section just so you know before you go! read more

This location needs some love, the staff is maybe burned out? Just had such an upsetting interaction when I tried to do an exchange for a different size. The girl treated me like my jeans were stolen. She was so rude I was so floored...I tried calling my sister I had her receipt but it was confusing so she just shewed me away. After I was upset about three women working there heard me and no one offered to help they just asked the gal what happened. No solutions? No help? Not even an "I'm so sorry there's nothing we can do" I made a special trip with my best friend and my husband for my birthday and left so upset. Now I have to mail them back to my sister who gifted them to me so she can do an exchange at her store in San Diego. Anthro used to be such a magical place, super inspiring and a great place to shop and explore but I felt so weird and uncomfortable I just left with nothing. read more

I don't know why this store get poor reviews; however my shopping experience here is always positive. Their selection is generally good and their customer service isn't bad. The line for the cashiers may be long at times, but it's nothing crazy. They usually have one greeter/floor person who can answer general questions and she's polite and helpful. I think the Caucasian staff is only interested in its Caucasian older lady customers. Not one greeting to me an Asian woman as I slowly browse. Instead I hear the meme worthy clink of the store associates' keys on her wrist pass right by me as she greets the white lady 2 ft away from me. However yesterday, Sydney helped me, and she is above and beyond gracious and patient. I love that in this age of Covid when all businesses are struggling, Anthropologie employees (well one in particular) feel that they have the right to treat customers like complete trash. Such is the case with the curly, black-haired cashier with glasses that "helped" me. I politely requested to return an unused, unworn item that i bought recently on sale, receipt in hand. It didn't fit the way I thought it might and again, during covid we are trying to avoid extraneous outside exposure by shopping online etc. she rudely refused my request, almost mocking in her tone. When I asked if a store credit might be viable she again declined (rudely) saying I could not because I bought it on sale. It was undoubtedly the worst experience I have ever had in the store. Came to make a return of 25 candles that I bought online for a work-related function, but they didn't work out. The prompts online directed me to my local Anthro store to return them "conveniently". I drove out there and had a miserable time finding parking, which isn't their fault.... BUT I called the store to tell them that I would be running in right before they closed to make a return of these candles. I walked up to the door at 6:00pm. They opened the door at 6:01 and turned me away. I explained that I was the person who called. I was told that it didn't matter, the registers were closed, while I was carrying a GIANT box that I just walked all the way there with. Do yourself a favor and make the drive to the Rancho Cucamonga location, they have EXCELLENT service and don't make you feel like an inconvenience. Do you know how much I spend at Anthro? A store can be beautiful, smell wonderful and be aesthetically pleasing, but when a sales associate is mean and condescending, this store becomes as ugly and unappealing as the sales associate's attitude. I really was not asking for much, just to make a return for a gift card credit on a birthday gift from a friend. I didn't have a receipt, but had my friend's phone number, which is what I'm accustomed to when making returns for years now. This sales associate explained to me that their policy is very strict in a very condescending manner and made me feel ad if I was the reason their policy is so strict. I left without completing the transaction. The next day I happen to go to the Americana and had no problems making the return and more importantly no hint of condescension. read more

Why is it that when I purchased online, I was told store policy is to first purchase a gift card, giving all my personal information, before I could order the items to be sent to my home? So, I purchased a $100.00 gift card to purchase a 90.00 PLUS tax item. Mind you, if you make a return, it is for a credit on a gift card, not cash. This will leave you a "couple" dollars left on a gift card. I was told this is store policy. Anthropologie, you have lost a good customer. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Whenever I'm in Pasadena, I always try to stop by Anthropologie to browse the stationary, mugs, and candles. My go-to candle is the Boulangerie Jar - Espresso! I purchase it whenever they have the extra x% off so it costs around $13. It smells heavenly - like a cup of freshly brewed sweet latte. EspresSO yum! The Whipped Cream and Pear is another favorite! Mugs collection - there's no such thing as having too many mugs! Anthropologie mugs are one of my favorites to collect. Designs include classy prints, fun prints, animals, monogram, florals, and simple colors. Stationary is super cute at Anthropologie too! They have folders, journals, planners, cards, desk accessories, and etc. I want to buy all the punny food cards!! The sale section at this location is always decent so it's worth a visit! read more

Too kitschy and stepford wives for me but they sell the brand that I love for basic button downs. I mean...I literally found the elusive perfect white button down from an exclusive label that they carry. I've been wearing that label for years (10+) and haven't found anything like it. The fabric is lyocell/tencel which is made from the pulp of eucalyptus. It's very soft, drapes elegantly well on my frame and it just looks so fabulous, classy and chic! Each piece isn't cheap but the quality is excellent so it's worth the money and they last for a very long time too - likely forever with care. My two chambray button downs are also from the same label; I have three white s/s button downs, black l/s and an earthy sage colored button down -- that's how much I love that particular label for button downs. It's so well designed -- very minimalistic. Other than that, nothing else attracts me to the products and styles they carry. Some housewares and kitchenware are cute to look at but I would never buy them bc I prefer locally made pottery, indie designers and artisans for things to fill my home with. I've never had bad customer service at any of their stores. They've all been very pleasant whenever I'd drop by every couple of years, lol. read more

I really like Anthroplogie and after the location on Lake closed I've been visiting this store a bunch (they're sandwiched between J Crew and Patagonia, so it doesn't get too much better). I really like their home goods. Some items aren't the most inexpensive (bedding, pillows, linens etc.) but gosh some of the stuff is just so cute. They also carry my favorite perfume and often have treats and lemonade out for customers. You really can't go wrong here, weather shopping for yourself or for gifts. read more

I would NOT recommend this Anthropologie location. I have been here several times and the customer service is very disappointing. The associates are not friendly or attentive. I witnessed one associate roll her eyes at another when a customer asked a question about the discount on sale items. I had to wait 20 minutes as next in line while an associate flirted with a male customer, told him she'd give him 15% off, and then told him to block the customers standing in line so we couldn't see what she was doing. I also watched as 6 customers stood in line while only one associate was helping a woman return more than 25 items and the other associate stood behind the counter texting on her cell phone. I sent a message to corporate regarding my concerns and was ignored. I would avoid this store. read more

I will start by saying I hate leaving bad reviews. I love to sing the praises of places I enjoy or think deserve it. This is not that kind of review! I have never felt such disrespect in any establishment. I was in the store for less than 7 min, picking out clothes for my upcoming vacation, when I discovered that someone was following me thru the store. I will post a picture of what I was wearing and carrying so we could clearly see that there was no way I could have even considered stealing anything. To test the theory, I moved from room to room in this store. The older women who offered me a dressing room in the beginning (which I declined, saying I'm just going to buy it. I don't feel like trying it on) followed me. She was no more than 7-10 feet away from me the entire time. I even caught them speaking on their radios and looking directly at me at one point. I have never felt so uncomfortable shopping in my life (and I'm not that young). When I talked to the manager regarding what was happening, she was no, help making me believe that she may have insisted on them follow me or at least was aware of the practice. My warning, if you are black, don't go there. You will have more eyes on you than if you walked into a bees hive with the sweet smell of fresh pollen from a wild flower garden on you. read more

Love the new location! The space is bigger than the old location (on Lake), and it's conveniently located on Fair Oaks/Union, right across from the Fair Oaks parking garage! I like that this location has enough space/rooms to have different sections of the store, each with its own theme. Also, serious bonus points to this Anthro location for hosting so many events! I went on a random week night, and it happened to be the March birthday celebration, with an entire spread of drinks an desserts! Noticed the very nice earthy ambience of the store's merchandising along the way to the return area, which was quite pleasant to see. There's something very unique about walking into an Anthropologie. It's a mixture of the aroma from their assorted candles and the ambience from the decor. It's like walking into a shopper's heaven, although your wallet might cry a little when you leave! I stopped by today to pick up some monogrammed mugs for Christmas gifts and found out they were 25% off. Although the stuff at Anthropologie may be pricey, they always have random sales and their actual sale section is always filled to the max. Their sales associates were also very sweet. Love, love this store, but not crazy about the location. It's hard to get to being located on Fairoaks. The other location was on lake St. which made it more convenient. The styles vary- it depends on the theme they're featuring for the season. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. The one thing I like about this company, they don't hold on to merchandise for to long, it goes to sale pretty fast. Yet another racist store in Old Town. The lighter customers are greeted and asked questions very nicely however I was not. They were rude and barely made eye contact. The cashiers seemed annoyed I was asking questions and when done ringing up my stuff, she basically threw my bag at me. The stuff in here is very nice but since I know the background of the company being a sister company to Urban Outfitters, and urban outfitters stealing Indigenous designs and other ideas from craft markets I'm not surprised. I bought a planner that I could have bought online from the company who actually sells them but they were all sold out online. NEVER again will I go into this store or buy anything. I don't think treating someone different because of their skin color is acceptable. Anyone with dignity for the human race shouldn't go buy from here either. Once again, the Anthro chicks in Pasadena have reset their service button to "disdain-for-the-customer." Girls, it's not that serious and it's not that deep. You sell clothes, candles, glasses, and towels - let's have fun with this. But it's no fun to shop here and it's really no fun to make a legitimate, no-shenanigans return - would you like to see my receipt or to beat me with a stick after the interrogation? Ugh. Alyssa helped me today and was AWESOME!! BUT her co-worker was RUDE. Went in to *exchange* 2 blouses for a different size that I had originally purchased in Austin. Because of the difference in sales tax between states, it appeared I owed a few dollars. Mind you, I'd spent @ $500 originally and have since placed additional orders online for @ $400. Her rude co-worker said I had to pay it. I asked for them to adjust it and she abruptly cut me off and told Alyssa to call the manager. The manager asked me for the tax rate and in a matter of seconds it was adjusted. Now, while the manager was efficient, she did not thank me for my business and was not gracious in thanking me for my patience. As I walked out, I approached the rude co-worker and calmly told her that a lack of knowledge on her part shouldn't have been something I'd get penalize for. That in the future, it would be nice for her to seek resolution for customers to ensure a positive experience, that would be appreciated. She condescendingly shot back with "well you know, the sales tax is different in every state!" I responded, again calmly, with: "Why yes, thank you. I'm aware each state has a different sales tax rate as I do live in this country." At that point, she stated that I didn't need to be so rude about it all. It is a shame that someone waved an ugly-stick and transformed the happy, charming, and beautifully lit South Lake Anthro - with the bestest sales crew ever - into a dark, dankish, poorly lit downer with unsatisfactory customer service. I immediately noticed that the store lighting is depressing and unflattering, and who wants to buy clothes in an environment that makes you look worse than you do? Not I! Anthropologie was once my favorite go to fun store because I always walked out feeling uplifted and better than I did when I went in; with a treasure or two that enhanced and up-trended my look. I have been only twice to the new location, found nothing that remotely interested me, and left feeling depressed. Hey Anthropologie - you of all companies should know that sales is all in the packaging - and the Fair Oaks packaging and uncomfortable atmosphere leaves much to be desired. read more

I found two more pairs of shoes they had in stock and had a great experience! Also the customer service department did a great job of placing my order and making sure I was able to use my coupons!
