Overpriced and Over-exaggerated Just go to Dominoes and get some garlic knots and their two topping deal. Would never recommend this place. If you happen to have kids that need a kids meal do NOT order the chicken tenders. There the driest pieces of cardboard with no flavor and don't bother with their "home-made fries." Caprese Salad also looks pretty but lacks. Lastly I understand it's not a direct reflection of the food quality but our waitress was incompetent and did not even know the menu well enough to answer questions. Just happened to walk across the street while visiting the Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum. Really excellent pizzas and hot sandwiches. I had the margarita pizza...great crust, high quality mozzarella, and they aren't skimpy with the mozz. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich. She is a pulled pork aficionado and pronounce this sandwich one of the best she has ever had. They have beer but only bottles. The selection was pretty good, and that is about as much as you can expect, given that this is Utah. Highly recommended! read more

It was busy. They quoted a 20 min wait. After 30 we opted for take out. That took another 30 min (quoted 20). They weren't sure what we ordered. Got a pepperoni pizza, meatball pizza and chicken Parmesan. The pizza was ok. Meatball dried out when baked in the pizza. The chicken was good. Wow...what a surprise! In a good way!!! Visiting family here in Vernal, we have eaten here twice with great experience both times. Love the fresh, authentic taste of all the dishes we've had. Natalie was our server when I took my niece the second time. While she was very busy she was very attentive to us and our needs. Recommending some delicious tastes. Here are a few things we enjoyed!! My husband is working in Vernal. Being from the East coast, we're pizza snobs. But, we decided to try this place in this charming, isolated town known for dinosaurs. It was awesome! They have a wood burning oven and I learned from the local Dinosaur Channel that the chef was in a pizza competition where he won over a chef from Naples and New York City... both places I've lived and visited. We found ourselves in Vernal en route to Dinosaur National Monument and found this place on Yelp. After visiting their website I was intrigued. They make everything from scratch including their own mozzarella, pizza crust and they even grow their own tomatoes. Everything we had was excellent. We liked their homemade burrata so much we took an order of it to go along with a pound of mozzarella. Great service and great food. Can't recommend it enough. read more

I love this place! First of all, they serve Neapolitan pizza. I think Neapolitan pizza is wonderful, but not everyone feels the same. If you are unfamiliar with that style, it would be good to do a little research first to make sure you're not surprised/disappointed when you go in. The restaurant was built specifically for this style of pizza, complete with a wood fired oven imported from Italy and a chef imported from NYC. So, the food: Pizza as good as it gets. I love all styles of pizza, but this really hits the spot for me. This is one of the best, if not the best, Neapolitan pizzas I've had. Their desserts are great as well as their appetizers. I haven't tried their salads, sandwiches or calzones yet, so I can't comment on them. Also, they have a beer/wine license and do a cool little Nutella dessert pizza. The people: Great service for a brand new restaurant! The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and pretty easy to access considering how busy the place usually is. Israel is usually the man making the pizzas and is willing to talk while putting together his little masterpieces. The place: Cozy and inviting. It's set up so the oven is featured prominently and you can sit at a bar and watch as the pizzas are prepared/fired and the mozzarella is made. A gem in an unexpected place! This restaurant is new, connected to a crazy dinosaur motel. Outside doesn't look like much, but inside this pizzeria is brand new, clean and modern. We are from LA and the pizza here is just as good as any gourmet pizzeria in West LA. Not your pepperoni, fast food type of pizza. Gourmet pizzas with trendy toppings. Awesome wood fired pies. Arancini were great too. We had a bit of trouble putting an order in (no one was answering the phone for about 15 min, but I think they may of been a bit overwhelmed). I only mention this, so they may consider developing an online ordering system. Also, the order was incorrect at pickup/didn't notice until well after I had left- but they were very polite and courteous about fixing this which was cool. Holy moly...this place clearly has a nice menu, good food, good drink selection...but they are 100% ill-prepared for a large crowd of people. We are traveling in the Western U.S., and we came because my wife was interested in the gluten free and vegan options. We have now waited two hours for them to correct her order that they have destroyed twice. And they just brought it out incorrectly for a third time. The place is packed, and given COVID, my family decided to wait outside, walking past the giant line. And the waitress literally just said "don't ever come on a Friday". ‍ So...yeah. Choose wisely. A cavernous pizza joint on Main St. Vernal. I ordered the La Nonna pizza with Vernal Brewing Company's Directional. The pizza was ready in about 5 minutes although it was 6:30 on a Wednesday. Very impressed with the dough and flavor. Very similar to many wood fired pizza joints with minimal sauce and cheese (both very tasty) but the crust here is exceptional. They were not skimpy on the toppings either. Beer was excellent too. I will be back. Bonus star (if I could give one) for no single use plastics. We decided to try this place since it was next to our hotel. The place has an inviting feel. Our table was lop sided and they quickly fixed it. We would've given this place 5 stars, but we ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer & never received it. Seems our server forgot. We also ordered two pizzas and they were burnt; the mushrooms on my husband's pizza were totally charred, as well as, the peppers on mine & my crust. Despite that they were delicious or we were just starving! The servers were really nice, but seemed we came at a busy time so they were all over the place. They checked on us towards the end, but it did take like 45ms to get our food that is why we didn't bother reminding them of our appetizer because we didn't want to wait any longer. Overall I would give this place a second chance perhaps when they are not so busy, because if the burnt pizzas taste delicious I could only imagine how good they would be otherwise. read more

I was staying the night in Vernal and this restaurant was right next to my hotel. However, I wasn't going to eat at a restaurant just based on geography, so I read some Yelp! reviews. I read an intriguing 1-star review (you figure out which one ;-)) and that communicated to me that this was the place for dinner. I ordered the Quattro Fromaggi pizza which was great! Their pizza is ultra thin crust (the best!) and the flavor is amazing! I also ordered a salad (forgot which one, sorry!) that was wonderful as well. As good as the food is, I really appreciated the staff. Their smiling faces were a sight for sore eyes to a road-weary traveler from California. Thank you for all you do. :-) And for the individual who wrote the one-star review, keep being the whiny little complainer you are. Antics Forma deserves nothing but a full five stars. Service, speed, ambiance, and product were all equally deserving. I ordered a very simple arugula salad, a pizza and the handmade peach pie. I'm an absolute sucker for fresh fruit pie (it's a dying desert medium, at least in the west), and Antica Forma's is absolutely perfect. Flakey crust, fresh fruit, tastefully sweetened glaze. Vernal isn't necessarily the "gem of the west" so to speak, but Antica Forma makes it worth the necessary travel. Wouldn't otherwise be saying this, but, definitely looking forward to my next Vernal, Utah visit. read more
