Thought it was worth a try. Pretty cool setup inside. Food was pretty good. Prices were out of line from other Mexican restaurants.

We looked forward to going and sitting outside in the courtyard with the pretty outside lights, but…read morethey rented a jumpy house for kids, so families with a lot of kids were there running around, squealing and jumping, so we had to eat inside. That wasn't much better because it's an old house that's been turned into a restaurant, so it had an awful musty smell. I ordered blackened Grouper, but it was not blackened, only grilled, and it tasted like a frozen fillet. My husband ordered prime rib and it was maybe a step above a Waffle House steak. None of it was worth $100 for dinner. It seems like this restaurant is mostly finger foods, comparable to Applebee's or Chili's, that is frozen and microwaved. The server was also very slow, and was absent for long periods of time between our requests and/or checking on us. I do not recommend, and won't be returning.

Friday night we called and made reservations for 6 at 6:30 and was told no problem. We did arrive a…read morefew minutes early and we're seated on time. That was the end of positive experiences. We were told there was a large group in the restaurant plus they had booked all the outside area for a reunion party and because of this we should expect a long wait for meals. Let's start we asked for lemonade but they had run out. We ordered 2 appetizers which we're good. But the server just dropped a stack of plates on the table and we passed they around mine was dirty, see photos. The server came back but I never got another plate. Ordering.... We asked for a Philly cheese steak but they had run out ok how about their burger but no they were out, ok chicken with baked potato, sorry they were out of potatoes too....... After 20 minutes the food came out but not the whole table at the same time. Four came 2 had to wait. Other items were ok except my chicken livers that on the menu you can have lightly fried or well fried, I asked for lightly got over fried. Drink refills were sparse, we finished and didn't order dessert. For a hometown place that strives to be upscale I wasn't impressed. Our guests here from AZ wanted to have a nice dinner and since we live in Adarisville we chose WTG , we will not be back

Roberto's is a hidden secret in the downtown Woodstock area. Located slightly off the beaten path,…read moreRoberto's boasts a beautifully clean atmosphere that evokes a sense of being somewhere far more coastal. The raw bar is front and center, and there are several great options for oysters. There is a social hour option for chef's choice oysters, I believe it was a dozen for $24. I would've loved to indulge, but my friends were not so inclined towards raw oysters. We enjoyed the peel-and-eat shrimp and the blue crab fritters as appetizers. Both had phenomenal flavor, but the portions left a bit to be desired. For my main course, I tried the low country boil as I always love to see an elevated take on a messy classic. The spices were a bit underwhelming for my liking, but everything was cooked very well. I tried some of my friend's redfish, and it was clearly the star of the show. There was a wonderful textural balance between the soft pillowiness of the fish and the crispy exterior. The downside for me was the service. We had a difficult time tracking down our server, and when we alerted another member of the staff that we needed something, there was no attempt to resolve the issue expeditiously. We had to wait another 10 minutes before flagging down our original server. We were dining close to the lunch/dinner shift, so I'm willing to give them the grace that it was a fluke and not a habit. I would love to give Roberto's another try someday, the menu has a great variety, and the ambiance is hard to compete with.

The service was super slow and like I said, it was not very busy & I only saw one person behind the oyster counter. It took a very long time for my husband's cup of soup to come out and then we split the roast seafood entrée, This entree was extremely disappointing. The clams were very overcooked as well as the shrimp that were in there and what was 'supposed to be' a piece of white fish was literally little minced/mushy pieces at the bottom of a very tasty red sauce. I pointed this out to our waiter. He left went to the kitchen, came back and said 'that's how the chef wanted it to be prepared''. Really ?! I find that extremely hard to believe, he said the chef had minced up the fish ! I'm a cook and you don't mince up a nice piece of fish; you just cook it lightly in the sauce so that it stays together. He didn't offer to replace our meal with something else or take it off the check, disappointing meal overall. This is a fairly expensive restaurant that we would like to frequent because we live close. I hope they get the kitchen or whatever is going on over there together. I truly dislike it when there's an excuse made for a poorly prepared meal because I know a good meal from a badly prepared and overcooked one, especially seafood. Our entree should have been re-prepared or they should have offered to take that off our bill instead of making a poor excuse. Do better please. TY.
