Went back with my friends. The chicken salad croissant was huge. To me the French fries really didn't seem appealing but the hamburger with onion rings made my friend really happy. The cucumbers in vinegar was not great hit with my friend who ordered a side salad, but I liked it . According to another frienf her jalopino coleslaw was too spicy. However, I was in 7th heaven. My portobello mushroom, spinach quesadilla was to die for. It was cooked on a grill and had cheese in it. Sooo good, probably the best quesadilla I had in a long time. While the food ended up being tasty, it took 45 mins to be delivered. Over half the restaurant was awaiting on food. If you are short staffed, then you at least need to warn patrons they are going to be in for a long wait so they can decide whether or not to wait. We won't be back. read more

We have visited Swheat Market on many occasions, but it has gotten progressively worse. This Sunday, we were there, and it took 55 minutes to get our food, and that was after I went to the counter 45 minutes in to ask about it. When we got it, some of the food was lukewarm or cold. I noticed that several people who ordered after us received their food before we did, including the couple dining with us. My sandwich was too salty: I couldn't eat it. The servers are wonderful, but the cooks are slow and seem disorganized. We will not be back. read more

Just Wow! We were visiting the Savoy Auto Museum (well worth visiting) and went into downtown Cartersville for lunch. As normal, we played Yelp Bingo picking one of the highest rated restaurants in town and in Cartersville this ended up being the Swheat Market Deli. For those of you visiting, the front door and counter is off the side street, not the main street. In other words, don't make it so obvious that you're tourists by waiting by the main street entrance expecting someone to notice you. Luckily, one of the regulars saw us and nicely explained our error. Anyway, we had the Tomato Bisque soup and the Brisket Sandwich and I highly recommend them. I bet the locals know to get here early because by 1:30 they were starting to run out of thier specials. Initially you would think that would have been a bad thing but because they were running low on Tomato Bisque we ended up with a piece of cake. We normally have the will power to pass over desert but thankfully we didn't this time! OMG, the cake was fantastic. Just think of a piece of WARM White Cake smothered with a cross between chocolate sauce and a chocolate Frosting. It was to die for. 5 stars! read more

My better half and I were in Cartersville visiting a warehouse and decided to grab lunch at one of the restaurants on my saved list. We were less than a mile from Main Street and decided to give Swheat Market Deli a try. Several Yelpers had good things to say about this downtown deli so we gave them a try. There is both street parking on Main Street and a lot on the side of their building. We parked in their side lot and entered into the deli from the back entrance. This is a large open converted storefront with their kitchen and order station at the rear of the deli. You place your order at a counter. It was almost noon on Monday and there were several diners queued up to place their order. The server who took our order was super friendly and helpful with the menu choices. After placing our order, we were given a number and found a table in their dining area. After we placed our order, the line on customers wanting to place a lunch order grew down the order area. We both ordered their corned beef Reubens with spicy mustard. This grilled sandwich comes on Marble Rye. We ordered onion rings to share with our sandwiches. After we were seated several minutes went by and our server came out to tell us they were out of Marble Rye bread for our Reubens. She offered to replace the sandwiches with another item on their menu of our choice or she gave us three alternate bread options. We both elected the have the Reubens grilled on Sourdough bread. It took about 25 minutes for our sandwiches to come out to the table. Our Reubens were piping hot and delicious. The homemade pickles were awesome too. The onion rings were a huge basket and were also fresh from the fryer. The food is 5 stars but a few kitchen issues such as the bread for our Reubens not being available resulted in our 4-star rating. Their menu prices are very reasonable for a downtown deli. If you are in Cartersville shopping or for business, you should definitely give this deli a try. read more

Went for lunch on a weekday with a friend. Busy but people were attentive. Had the black bean burger, thought it would come with fries but that was extra. Burger was freshly made and had a decent taste helped along by a little fruit slaw on top and some large tomato slices. This is a local casual order at the counter place. Food has always been good except....I always get the grilled chicken salad. Last two times, once it wasn't grilled much and dry. Yesterday it was grilled but dry as all get out. Could barely cut it with my knife. They're pre-grilling the chicken and then it sits. Not good. I won't order that salad ever again. Food's just "ok" but not worth the extremely long wait: it took over forty minutes to arrive after already having waited in a long line to order it. The pork on my Cuban was good, but the sandwich wasn't panini pressed like you'd expect a Cuban. Others said their sandwiches were "pretty good." Fresh cut fries were really good, fresh, and also warm, but the tater tots were "terrible" and "warm enough" said the person who got them. Heinz ketchup would have helped, but the few generic packets of ketchup we could get did not. But what REALLY got me was this: our grandmother had eaten her bag of chips during the extended wait - as one would expect - and asked for the server for another for her sandwich, but the server rudely said she'd have to wait in the by-now really long line line and pay before getting them. BTW the server couldn't have missed her walker... right there. When the server got to me, I was already visibly irritated by her dismissing our mater familia and tersely asked her, "could you please get the lady a bag of chips and we'll pay you cash for them," and she at last did. Honestly had that not happened I probably would have overlooked the long wait and the albeit mediocre food, but c'mon, have some respect for an older lady, would ya? Overall, in a quaint tourist town with lots of choices for lunch, I wish we'd made a different one and had more time to spend in the museums and local shops. read more

I had the "Coach Harris" which is a chicken, bacon, bbq sauced hoagie with onion rings. My wife got the chicken salad sandwich and soup. Don't remember the name of the soup but it was GOOD. My daughter got the club sandwich with fries and my son in law had the beef brisket Sammy with fries. All the food was well prepared and tasted wonderful. I ordered a black bean burger and sweet potato fries from this restaurant and let me tell you it's one of the best black bean burgers I've had in a long time! The black bean burger is really thick and does not crumble in the buns and it was well seasoned as well. The Chipotle sauce and mango salsa that comes together was a little questionable but it works really well. I got the mango sauce on the side because I was worried that I might not like it but I honestly wish that I could have gotten an extra side of mango salsa.
