    Fun at the tide pool
    Bryan A.

Got an online deal for season passes and started taking the family a few times over the past couple months. Out of our visits we had lots of fun with the slides and attractions. However, there are serious issues with this park. They -don't take cash, -charge a service charge on every overpriced purchase, -charge $18 for a slice of pizza, -and the food lines get way too long (daughter waited in one for 40 min. and still didn't get to place an order0. I would recommend leaving the park to eat or bringing your own food. We saw many people bringing in large bags of food and drinks.

This place sucks...its look like a frat house after a party, lets unpack what we have found out in less than an hour of tolerating this place. The Lazy river has extremely murky water, we got here directly after opening and found trash in the lazy river such as a tampon, a hat, and a Vaseline container, that was honestly extremely disgusting. Am I tripping or is fake grass not supposed to have mud? The floor everywhere is gross even the baby playground has disgusting floors! I would not let my baby crawl around that disgusting place... There was also police aircraft surrounding the perimeter! Most of the water slides are also closed and the food is disappointing to say the least! Six Flags! I'm disappointed...

Price of Inner Tubes in 2024, use your season pass to get a dollar off. Don't loose your receipt

Small and outdated waterpark. The worst one in the Bay Area. Even so the big rides are closed on a Summer Sunday.

Can you use to Six Flags season pass at Hurricane Harbor?

I have a Six Flags Discovery Kingdom seasons pass and we are able to use it.

Do they allow outside foods and drinks into the park?

Yes, you can bring outside food and drinks in. No alcohol. You can not bring in a hard cover cooler unless you rent a cabana. They will take your alcohol and dump it,you will not be able to take it back to your car. So just leave it in your hard… Read more

What's the current hours and days ? There website says different from google. Tried calling. Just a machine

    It's open daily starting 6/11/22 & open from 10:30am-6pm I believe

Can I bring a wagon inside?

Yes wagons are allowed you will have to go through extra security.

2021 season passes, when do they expire? Everything just says the end of the season but what day is that officially?

Online it says Sunday, October 3rd. Discovery Kingdom is open until the end of the year, so the pass still works there even if Hurricane Harbor is closed.

Ice Chests and food are allowed in right?

They're not, but I think you could get away with a sandwich or chips in your backpack anyways. I've mostly seen people with ice chests eating in the parking lot (I'm assuming before they go in, since the employees say there's no re-entry).

Can you bring your own food post covid?

Soft coolers. Seen a family bring a bag full of hamburgers

Is it OK for two adults to go without kids or is this place designed only for families with kids I don't want to feel awkward?

No kids needed, plenty of adult rides. :)

    Is this open?

Yes! It is open from 10:30am - 6pm

Can I wear a water proof fanny pack on the rides?

Depends on how far it sticks out. Some Fanny don't stick out enough to be noticeable and others stick out enough to get caught on something

WTH CLOSED TODAY FRIDAY AUG 16 days open on Yelp? Website says open on weekends only but phone message says closed til May, people come from long ways very annoying which is it?????? Can somebody shed some light

According to the Six Flags app, they are now closed for the weekdays.

Hello; does anyone know when the season closes for 2019? I tried looking online at the calendar but it would not process past July, not sure if that means they close after 7/31. Thanks!!

Is there spots to set up a small tent or a shaded area? Are we able to bring food & drinks in? Any recommendations?? Thankyou

They have shaded area all over the park, i don't know about allowing tents in, for sure no food.

    Can we bring hydro flask?

    Yes!

Can we bring wagons inside the park?

Yes you can... I've seen families with wagons

Free tubes available for the lazy river or you have to rent them all the time?

Rent them $8 per single tube

Do they have a lazy river?

    Yes, always

Is there a shaded picnic area by the parking lot?

    It isn't shaded.

I would like to find anyone who has rented a cabana. Are they disabled accessible? Shady?

    Yes and yes.

Best for kids 18 months to 12 years because while the slides are fun, it's more family-friendly and less amusement-parkish than Hurricane Harbor in Concord or Calibunga/Raging Waters in San Jose. If you're ready to move your toddlers up from tot time at the San Ramon Aquatic Center, as I was, this is one step up from that. The staff member who was overseeing slides was really helpful when I told her that it was Jenbert Jr 1's first time going down a water slide ever. She told the others in line to wait for her while she gave JJ1 a little extra attention and how-to, which I appreciated. Pros: * Clean facilities * Free parking * Slide line wait times were less than 5 minutes when we went on Labor Day weekend around noon * Variety of activities from splash pad to slides to indoor or outdoor recreational swimming pool. We went to all three activities and enjoyed each. They didn't want to get out of the recreational pool when it was time to go, and it was less crowded. * More affordable than water amusement parks such as Calibunga and Hurricane Harbor, but to be fair, there isn't as much to do here. However, the focus at The Wave seems to be on quality, not quantity. Cons: * Pricing is for above and below 40". However, the slides have both a height (40") and weight (45 lb) requirement, and both must be met. Luckily, management will refund you if your child is over 40" but less than 45 lbs and cannot go on the slides. * Much like any other amusement park: cabanas/rented tables fill up quickly, can't bring in your own food.

I came with my parents and 2 kiddos (5 yo and 1 yo). The breakfast buffet has gotten better and the customer service is noticeably better than we had experienced in the past. The ready to order eggs and omelette are yum. Something for everyone. My baby loves the fruits. Overall resort is clean and feels relatively safe. It's not unusual to see kids wandering around alone and lots of parents around keep watchful eyes out. It's definitely a resort more for the kids, so bring your inner child. The magiquest game is so cheesy, but my kiddo and husband enjoy it. Lots of kids play it, so you'll feel like you're missing out if you don't. We always end up doing more activities than we initially plan, so next time we'll probably look into trying one of the bundle discount passes. Personally my favorite part is that the water park is indoors. You don't have to cross your fingers for good weather and you don't have to wear sunscreen. I mobile order the lunch and eat inside the water park so my kid can stay in her suit swim still soaking wet.

I said what if I was allergic to mango. She said, if you are don't drink it. I said I'm not, but what if I was. I told her I would accept the drink since it was already made. I let it go and took a couple of sips and set it down between 2 lawn chairs and went on a slide with the kids. When I came back it was tipped over. I paid almost $30 for this drink. You could see the line on the cup that I had not drank much of it before it spilled. So I went back to tell them that someone spilt it. It was not long after I purchased it. She said unless one of the employees saw what happened, then there was nothing they could do about it. Then I asked for her supervisor. When she came she said they could give me a discount. I asked how much would it cost. I ordered a dbl Pina colada. Then I saw the girl who made the drink tell her she didn't make it a double. She said the discounted price was $35 big ones. That's more than I paid for the first one. I'm not paying $65 for a drink. The wolf lodge makes plenty of money. I wasn't the one who spilled the drink. 8 hope the lifeguards are paying attention to the kids not the drink. I believe the supervisor was named Dez and the bartender was Alexis. The larger water slides were closed, which was the main reason we wanted to come here but didn't get to experience. Had they mentioned on their website that the slides were not available, we would have planned a different day or brought younger kids instead of the big kids. The cabanas were not held down by anything and it was a windy day, I almost got hit by the cabana flying. Maybe have them closed and when someone does purchase it is when you would open them up for the guest. I don't know if people really reserved any cabanas but a few were being used but closer to closing time so I don't think they really reserved them and people just sat there since it isn't getting checked in my opinion. I don't miss like that bathrooms are available in the front and back of the park. The front bathrooms in the check in area have lockers and showers. There is also a bathing suit spin dryer. It seems for the lockers that if you bring your own pad lock you can store your things if needed. It's great they allow you to bring in food but not in coolers but bagged food take out is ok. There is also food available for purchase in the back. Treats and desserts in the front middle of the water park. Parking is shared with the community building not close to the entrance. So for my disabled friends like me, we had to walk even from a disabled parking spot. The park does provide tables and chairs. The cement picnic tables in front are near the treats vendor store. I don't recall what type of tables are in the back near the food but there were more there and by the kid's splash pad area. I would like to return when the large slides are open but I call next year and find out till then.

The water temperature was perfect. Our 5yo son seems to have a natural inkling for water but he enjoyed the pool far more than the splash pad, which is also popular with young kids. I tried carrying him up on the water slide but he refused. Note: for taller folks, they have a pretty intense water spray on top of the slide that can blind you. Imagine max shower pressure right on your face, LOL! Other amenities are large locker and changing rooms with clean showers, small picnic areas for sun tanning or relaxing, and plenty of benches and tables to store your bags or snacks.
