I had such high hopes going to Uncle Rocco's after seeing them pop-up on my instagram feed. However, the food was incredibly underwhelming and felt like a bait and switch. The spicy rigatoni vodka had little to no fresh mutz despite chunks in the pictures on the website. Half of the mozzarella sticks were devoid of cheese and drenched in too much breading -- a far cry from the epic cheese pulls on the IG grid. And the chicken parm sandwich -- while serviceable with excellent bread -- was a fraction of the size and not even close to the double-decker cutlet shown on the online menu. No pickle included either. The ambience was lovely kitsch and the wait staff was friendly, kind, and attentive. But overall, it was incredibly disappointing dining experience. The decor at antique at 112 super cute. Seating is weird. Service is decent. They're nice, attentive and accommodating . Food is good but sauces suck. Like they are not good at all. And I feel like sauces really make or break a meal. Like their ranch is not good. Neither are the sauces on the wings. The bbq sauce is decent but just decent. This is what we ordered and how we rate it. -The smash burger 10/10 no comment (no pic) -Wings 6/10 wings were crispy and so good. Sauces were horrible. I heard all about the famous bread pudding at Antique Bar & Bakery, but reservations were booked and I also knew we wouldn't be able to finish the huge portion served there. I was happy to realize that they have this other location, Antique at 112 with a diner vibe. The best part is that they offer a small version of the Bread Pudding for $11, which is perfect for two people. If you're with 4 or more, I'd go for the larger one though. We came here only for the bread pudding. The service was quick, but it wasn't busy at all. It was nice to sit outdoors too. The bread pudding is soft and crispy. The sauce was a bit too sweet and the inside was gooey. While I did enjoy the bread pudding, I didn't think it's something I'd go out of my way for though. read more

What a lovely place this is! My daughter and I had lunch here on a Saturday. We sat indoors because the weather was iffy, but there is a lovely patio in the back. We started with the Antique Mini Bread Pudding (at my daughter's insistence). I'm not a bread pudding fan; however, this one made me a convert! It was delicious and I do recommend trying it. For lunch, I had the chicken salad toast. It reminded me of the chicken salad my mother made- lots of grapes, apples and walnuts. Wonderful! My daughter had the 112 Smash burger. Stopped by for a casual dinner on a weeknight with my friend. There was one employee waiting on tables / taking orders / manning the cashier and then a few cooks/dishwashers. It was cold and blustery that night, however, they had the front door and back patio door wide open. I'm guessing they have a temperature problem and that it gets too hot inside there otherwise. We picked a high top table in the center of the restaurant, across from the large cooktop where it felt the most warm / least drafty. To our detriment, we reeked of fried food/frying oil after leaving our meal. They are BYO so we brought a bottle of wine. We wanted to get the mac & cheese balls to start however they weren't available that night. Instead, we shared the Caesar salad to start. Basic salad, generously dressed and chopped well - no complaints. For entrees, I got the birria cheesesteak and my friend got a pasta dish. The cheesesteak was pretty messy, just OK flavor. Ended up taking home half. My friend enjoyed her pasta. I would come back here again for a casual meal when the weather is nicer so I can sit outside in the back garden. I was very excited to go to Antique at 112 for what was advertised as a Game Night. While there were games there, the selection was not robust. I expected a combination of old and new games that would keep my friends and I entertained while drinking/ eating, which was not the case. There was connect four, dominos and 2 other games. In addition to that, while the waitress was very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu, the service was pretty slow. It took a while to get our plates cleared for both apps and entrees and took a bit to get the waitress' attention after we finished our entrees ready to put our dessert order in. Overall, the food was delicious but I'd recommend upping the game selection if you're going to advertise Tuesdays as a game night. read more

I finally had breakfast here and man is the restaurant decorated nicely! The owner has quiet the eye for design. Unfortunately we were seated in the backyard tent because we didn't have a reservation, but it was fine because the music inside was a little louder then I was prepared for anyway. I tried the breakfast burrito which I wasn't a fan of, but I don't usually go for breakfast burritos. Our server brought over some green sauce which helped with the dryness. Came here with my husband to celebrate my dinner, we got a (1) Plantain Steak Sangwich, (2) Burger and (3) Breakfast Burrito to share. Everything was slightly under-salted so we had to put salsa on everything, thankfully they have three different types of salsas on every table. The Plantain Steak Sangwich was cool with the plantain as the bun, I quite liked that. Service was good, no wait for a table on the Monday evening we came on. On a different day we also came to get a sausage bread from their bread case, it was $10 and quite a hefty portion. Have been meaning to try Antique 112 for a while... left extremely disappointed. We arrived and asked for a table for 3, we were told no tables were available so we were about to leave and then all of a sudden there was an open table (weird?). Upon entering the restaraunt we immediately noticed that it was lacking exhaust fans. The whole place was hazy with grease smoke and smelled like fryer oil. The waitress was super friendly, took our order promptly but the food took quite a while to arrive. Food was fine but very overpriced for what it was. Didnt feel the portions or quality justified the cost. When we left the restaraunt we STUNK like grease.. we had to change our clothes. read more

NO NAPKINS! I have been following Antique At 112 on Instagram and was very interested in trying their Chicken Parm sandwich. I ordered it around 3:30pm today, it was made to order, and after about 15-minutes, my order was placed in a shopping bag for me to take, however, since I was planning on eating the sandwich at the Hoboken Terminal while waiting for my train, I asked for napkins...and the answer shocked me...NO NAPKINS or even a paper towel...for outgoing orders...what? So I left, befuddled...sat down about 15-minutes later to enjoy the sandwich. Unfortunately, the sandwich was placed in a paper-type of container with a solid plastic lid...so no vent holes, so the bread/roll was quite soggy and the plastic lid had water from the hot sandwich which dripped down on the bread. The chicken, sauce and cheese tasted good...but I left and did not eat the roll - too soggy and not in a good way! Suggestions: buy napkins and include them for people who take your food to go; wrap hot sandwiches in aluminum foil to keep the sandwich hot for a longer period of time; and lastly, if you continue to use the container with a solid plastic lid, poke some holes to vent. This is a great hidden gem in Hoboken and I'm lucky to be neighbors with them. The atmosphere is relaxing and the back patio is gorgeous. I always come for breakfast burrito, antique burger and the home-made sauces. Elizabeth gave wonderful service my last visit. Bonus points for being BYOB! read more

Came here recently for a late breakfast with friends...the French toast with mixed berries (it may be available only on weekends, so check) was great, as was the coffee! There is a nice little diner vibe, with good prices and service...will need to come back to check out more of their menu. read more

I have been a big fan of Antique Bar and Bakery for years. So, when they opened their casual space, Antique at 112, I was eager to give it a shot. Well, they used to only be open for breakfast and lunch, two meals I did not typically enjoy out of the home. However, they recently launched a dinner service that offered wine from the New Jersey winery, Old York Cellars. At the launch of that wise collaboration, they held a celebration where diners could sample some of the wines along with their meal. That announcement was enough to drive us into the place sooner than we would have otherwise gone to scope it out. Similar to its fancy neighbor, the more relaxed place was decked out with decor and knick-knacks from previous decades (~1950s-1970s). However, the 112 location was even more kitschy and over the top; it really felt like we had stepped into a diner from the past, and we loved it! In addition to their streetary out front, they had a backyard garden that was illuminated with strings of tea lights. It was too cold for us to dine outdoors, but we were told that they were planning to enclose and heat the patio in order to serve diners throughout the year. Instead, we sat at a small booth across from the large diner-like counter. Our server was really sweet and friendly, but definitely still getting up to speed on how to handle dinner service, as she made a few fumbles. She was so nice and apologetic, so it really did not impact our experience in a negative light. Before we got to taste the food, the Old York Cellars staff member introduced us to their wines. Throughout the night, we tried the Chardonnay, DMC Red (a collaboration with Run DMC!), and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the Cab was a clear favorite because it had the best body and balance. We started the culinary portion of our experience with large bowls of the Chicken and Rice Soup. The broth was heavenly!! It had the ideal amount of salt and a real depth of flavor. My companion thought the soup could have had more rice, but I preferred it with the generous amount of pulled white meat chicken instead. The soup also contained diced, fresh carrots and celery. I ordered the Chicken Marsala as my entree, and thought the two chicken breasts were lean and tender. I did feel that the sauce could have used more marsala wine, however, as it needed more depth of flavor. The poultry was served with a liberally-doused garlic spinach. I also sampled the Steak Frites, which was nice and juicy. It was topped with a mountain of crispy potato sticks. After our meal, we could not pass up the opportunity to order a "mini" version of Antique's signature Bread Pudding with caramel sauce. The smaller version of the renowned dessert was honestly the perfect size to split after such a homestyle meal. The fluffy pudding with its sweet caramel drizzle was sinfully decadent and certainly a must-order! Antique at 112 might have been a more relaxed outpost of its parent restaurant, but it inherited its excellence with executing a classic atmosphere and food. read more

I had gotten the same bread at Antique Bar & Bakery for $2 cash, so this price difference was inexplicable and disgusting. Otherwise, the bread is the same as the other location, so it's substantially dense, soft, and palatable. Best baguette I've had in Hoboken. Got the bread pudding ($7). It was a single serving but enough for several bites each for 4 people. The bread pudding was some of the best I've had from Antique, but I can't stand their terrible service and business practices. My total was $7.46 and I paid $8.01 in cash and the cashier assumed I was tipping her and didn't initially give me change. Who does that??? read more

You WILL SMELL walking out of this place, even if it's just a pickup order. Food is goodish. Prices jumped 30-40% recently. The $20 cheesesteak is small and overpriced. Service is hit or miss but usually a miss. Food is worse now with new menu. FYI The space is an open kitchen with no exhaust fans so the place fills with smoke to the point that you need to shower and wash all your clothes after. read more

Stopped by last Sunday to take out breakfast. We tried the hashbrowns, plant based bacon, and sausage egg and cheese on a roll. The hashbrowns were so good! Thin and crispy. As was the bacon. Im usually a turkey bacon fan and this tasted similar. Husband was a fan of the breakfast sandwich. We had our dog and were walking around while we waited. The hostess was so sweet and ran out to see if we were there once it was ready. The few tables inside were all taken. All good signs. Will definitely go again. read more

You get the same antique bread pudding just in a much smaller size which is great for personal or to share with someone. I'd round my 3 to 3.5 if yelp allowed it, I have wanted to LOVE this location since the original place opened maybe 4 years ago. It's around the corner from me and is super cute, with an incredible backyard that can be utilized year round. The original place that opened had the weirdest menu and closed after a year or so. I was excited when Antique took over and while I do like a few of their options a lot and come back often for them, I feel like it's just a lot of the same thing and all on the heavy side. Having just met friends in Montclair at Toast I feel like a menu like theirs would be amazing, there isn't much like that in Hoboken and definitely not downtown. I get Toast is more of breakfast/lunch place but I just think the variation would be so great with more sandwich, salad, breakfast options. Other knock is that I know restaurants have gotten expensive, but $17.95 for a chicken wrap with not a single side is ridiculous, I recall them having that as a lunch special with chips and lemonade before they closed this summer for renovations. I was blown away by not only the incredible retro interior and backyard seating but by the hospitable and friendly staff. I felt so welcomed here. The food is mind blowing. I tried the short rib grilled cheese and have already made a mark next to the other menu items that I must try. Their hot sauces are also really good and pair well. This is a must try spot. My friends and I LOVE Antique Bar, and were very excited about this new addition, but had such a horrible experience that I doubt we'll ever be back to 112. For starters, one of my friends was brought the wrong dish 3 times, and both servers who came to try and correct the problem were increasingly rude. On the third try, 1/2 of the order was correct, so instead of trying to flag down a server who refused to look in our direction, she just ate what she received. The server basically dropped it on our table while looking the other direction and sprinted off without even a word to make sure it was the right dish. After the meal was over, another server asked if she got what she ordered, and when she said "no, but it's alright", the server told her she should "just forget about the fries" that she received in place of the salad she actually ordered. Three of us ordered a coffee after the meal - 2 cappuccinos and a latte. 2 of us received our cappuccinos, and the server told my friend she would be right back with the latte. 20 minutes later, still no latte and the server once again would not even look in our direction while passing our table multiple times. (This was NOT a busy time either). Finally when I managed to catch her eye, she seemed shocked that my friend hadn't gotten her latte when she said she would bring it, and proceeds to bring one a few minutes later that was ice cold and tasted like soap. We didn't even mention the latte to the team after being dismissed about every other issue and just asked for the check. To top it all off, the original server who had a terrible attitude brought us the POS system to pay and told us that he removed the wrong dish from the bill. We thanked him for taking care of that, and proceeded to pay. After paying, we asked for a printed receipt and took it as we walked out the door. Halfway down the street, we took a closer look and realized the incorrect dish was NOT removed from the bill after we were told it was. There were several tables around us that seemed to be having issues with getting the correct orders as well, and we witnessed multiple dishes being taken back to the kitchen, so unfortunately this didn't seem like an isolated incident. I would strongly suggest skipping this place in favor of the original Antique Bar, unless you're looking for a "Dick's Last Resort" style experience. The food is great when they get it right, but nothing makes up for the completely negligent service. read more

Got the artichoke salad which is always a hit and the Big J burger. Absolutely insane, by far one of the best burgers I've ever had and easily one of the best in Hoboken. Finished with the classic mini bread pudding which was insane. This place is v underrated, will keep coming back! read more
