If you're in your 60s and up, this is the place for you! Honestly, food was mediocre and the atmosphere was stale. Customer service is terrible, server never check on us the entire time, seemed like she more focused on the regulars. Took her 20 minutes to even come over to take our order. Also the bar is cash only so if you're planning on having an alcoholic drink, make sure you have cash, but they'll take a card for your food. FYI if you're not white person you won't fit in, patrons and staff stare at you like you're from a different planet. Will not visit again and pissed I spent money there. read more

I've eaten at a table or the bar 4 times between 2017 and 2018.Food is ok. I've had entrees and they were fine. Sandwiches are fine too. Nothing fancy. And it's a cash bar. The service can be hit or miss for dinner. If it's in season I suggest getting there early for happy hours and dinner because otherwise it is mobbed. The specials for both are very reasonably priced. The only thing preventing me from giving it another star is the feeling that non locals are tolerated but nothing beyond that. The locals all tend to stick together and don't engage with others. The bar and table service is good but none of the extra friendliness you see directed at locals. I don't know if maybe it's because I've only gone prior to 8pm? I'll give it a shot later this summer to see if a later time is better. read more

Mulligan's is an awesome little neighborhood bar. To be honest, the food is nothing amazing, but it is decent and the atmosphere is so welcoming and makes you want to come back and hang out all the time; plus it's cheap. Their staff are always really friendly and they conveniently serve food late. Mulligan's has nightly specials, including wing night, burger night, meatloaf night, etc. Their clams casino soup is probably their best food, and otherwise, I typically stick to sandwiches and appetizers. As others have stated, this is a dive bar. Open year round and has plenty of local regulars. That said, my family didn't feel out of place or unwelcomed in any way. The restaurant was clean and the servers were attentive and friendly. But since this is a dive bar...stick with the basic food choices and you should be good! My burger was simple but excellent, perfectly cooked and I would gladly get a burg here again! Family enjoyed the Reuben and prime rib. The chicken parm sandwich was a let down despite yelp recommendations typically being on point. Thin piece of chicken on way too much bread, with not enough sauce, cheese, for flavor. If it wasn't for that chicken parm, I would have given 4 stars. Would I be back? Maybe...but nothing was above and beyond to separate this from average diner food. Irish weekend, 2023. Most of the bars were packed so I figured I'd go to mulligans and just get an appetizer and a beer or two. Cash only bar they also don't run a tab you pay for each beer every time. Figured I'd get the boneless wings on the appetizers listed under MP market price didn't think much of it but when the bill came they were $18 in some cases that seems high but the quality of the boneless wing would be expected. Really not a fan. Food is reasonably priced, cash bar. If you are having food you can sit at a table and use a credit card for drinks. Stick to bar food and don't get anything fancy like a full meal. Burgers for his niece and I, the prime rib quesadilla for him, and a basket of mulligan fries to share. Burgers come with a bag of chips. They were pretty big, I only could manage half of mine. Fries were hot and crispy with parmesan cheese on them. Boyfriend really liked his quesadilla. Had a mixed drink as well. All in all the food was decent, nothing spectacular. Our bar of choice when visiting Wildwood. Perfectly located across the street from Acme supermarket, so when my brother-in-law and I are sent out to get groceries, or that one item someone forgot we ALWAYS pay a visit to our friends at Mulligan's. It is a locals bar but the bartenders make you feel right at home as do the patrons sitting along the bar. It is a cash only bar, and if you decide to order food a waitress will take your order even if you are sitting at the bar. The food is pretty darn good, and the prices are very reasonable. I have been going to this place for years! This is about the best place the Wildwoods have to offer in its class. The food, the service, and the ambiance is top shelf. Also, because it is separated from the main crush of bars and clubs on the island, you do not get the hipster scum or shoobie crowd so much. This place is a hidden gem. When we first pulled up I though total dive. Once inside it is a small neighborhood bar with surprisingly great food. They had over 20 burgers to choose from, which happen to be on special today $5.50 a burger. I had the Jerry Lewis and my husband had the hangover. The burgers were very fresh and very tasty. We shared a basket of fries which also were very fresh and good. Beer was also on special $1.50 a pint. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
