Found this gem while looking for a lunch place with my client. Food is authentic and it has a cute vibe to it. I ordered 3 steak tacos, and 3 chicken tacos to go for my fiancé. My fiancé doesn't like corn tortilla but he seems like he enjoyed the tacos. Their corn tortilla is homemade. Seems like every walks of life comes here so don't hesitate to bring your family, coworker or a date. There's also a little "mom and pop" store inside which you can buy little knick-knacks. I stopped in on a Saturday last week with 4 adults and two little kids. It's a nice small spot with nice decor and you can tell popular with the locals that live in Summit. The food is excellent , the service was good and the price point is excellent for the portions you receive! This is about as authentic Mexican food as your going to get in the area and it's a small business that I will continue to support! Give it a try , have a drink and some great food!!! read more

First time here tonight and will not be coming back. Not only was the whole order wrong but everything was cold. I ordered two steak tacos with cheese only for my 6 year old son. They both came with onions and cilantro. I took the onions and cilantro off but he didn't want to eat them. My fiancé ordered a combination dinner and was told that the flauta was chicken but he got beef and that the tostada was going to have steak but had chicken instead. He also ordered a steak and al pastor taco with onions cilantro and cheese. They forgot the cheese. $40 down the drain. read more

They re use the chips and salsa which is absolutely disgusting. Saw the older lady who works here pour two old chip baskets into one and take salsa off a table and put it right back into the fridge. The food is so delicious but for this reason I will not be coming back. read more

We stopped here because yelp had it at 4 and a half stars. This place is low cost high volume and they give you two courses for free. There was a bit of a language barrier but that was more my fault then theirs. This is in a good area considering where you are in the state. The pork belly taco they gave you to start was some of the most perfectly seasoned meat that I have ever had period. I just wish I got more of it when I got dinner. The meal was great but couldn't compete with the free taco. If we are ever near by we will get nothing but the belly. Drinks were strong as well. The service here isn't the quickest so make sure you actually have time to dine in if you are doing so. That being said, the food is delicious and quite affordable. I usually get the steak tacos or torta and it hits the spot every time. They give you tortilla chips and salsa while you're waiting for your food so you at least have something to munch on in the meantime. This was my first time here, was greeted with a free pork taco on the house and chips and great salsa. I had pollo en mole and it came with homemade tortillas and plenty of them...nice and warm and veryyy good! and at the end of my meal the waitress brought over some rice pudding with cinnamon also on the house...lil things like that go a long way. Where has this place been?!?!? Living out of town and staying on some weekends in Summit I have been yearning for a good Mexican spot without having to drive deep into Chicago out of pure laziness. We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and I was pleasantly surprised upon first walking into this place because of all the Mexican decor. Their menu has quite a few selections and I really enjoyed the breakfast options too! Huevos divorciados ? What? The food was delicious and their homemade tortillas were a plus and they have sopes and gorditas. The salsa also had a real good kick to it which might explain why I had heartburn later that day. Waitresses are friendly and helpful, the owner is passionate and attentive to the decor and seasonal/holiday dishes, and above all, the food is phenomenal! They start you off with FREE chips and salsa (2 kinds.. the orange salsa is addictive!), FREE pickled pepper and carrots slices, and a FREE appetizer. They may change up the appetizer from time to time, and our favorite is the chicharron prensado... which is simply, in a word, unbelievable! Our favorite entree is the steak fajita, which is always, always seasoned and cooked to perfection. They bring out FREE desert (chilled rice pudding with cinnamon) in the end, and we always walk away happy.
