Pretty good, for being in the neighborhood. Love the steak tacos and their chips with salsa.

We've gotten tamales from here more than a few times and I'm confident in saying they're the best around!

I truly would not recommend this place, if I could give a zero I would. The place had a bad smell as soon as you walked in. The gorditas had a weird smell to them as well and the texture of them was as if they didn't mix the corn correctly. The flavor of both meats was not good at all. The pastor was way worse than the steak. Pork tamale tasted as if they microwaved it and super dry. Enchiladas also did not have a good taste to them. No public bathrooms to wash your hands(bathroom out of order). The lemonade was definitely not a natural lemonade. It was way to sweet. They have the best rice, quesadillas and gorditas in the area. Their prices are very reasonable.

There's always a long wait when picking up our order. It's small inside, not many tables to eat at. Parking is on the street or along the side of their building & is usually full. The prices, food & service are okay. read more

The food is very delicious specially el caldo de res. The only reason I did not give them a 5 star is because there prices are way too expensive and they charge too much for the condiment where other places is complementary. The reason I don't like going inside because you come out smelling so bad from all the fried food they make I don't k ow if the don't have a fan to air out the small kitchen. Ordered pick up at store and the staff was friendly and the food was prepared quickly. The chile rellenos were cheesy and delicious and I would def order them again. The chips were not homemade, which is what I usually prefer, but the salsa seemed to be and it was delicious, had a thick consistency and just enough heat. Awesome! I was visiting my daughter and decided to try this restaurant. The chorizo tacos were wonderful! I also ordered one pork tamale, which was also great! So an order of guacamole with chips is 6.99 smallest container and smallest bag of chips I've ever seen. Ordered plain tacos with just cheese and they charged .35 more per taco on the dinner and .15 for the individual tacos. Literally not even a full avocado was used for the order of guacamole . Sad to write this review bc this was my go to spot for tacos but I was beyond upset w my last visit. I ordered my usual 2 steak taco dinners w a few other items. When I got home I noticed only 2 steak tacos. (Okay bc every one makes mistakes) I also should have noticed by the price. But when I called I was on the phone with a manager who was very rude, telling me I only ordered 2 steak tacos and she'll ring me up for 2 dinners if I want to come back..not expecting 2 dinners for free but some type of reimbursement or money off a dinner since now I have 2 tacos on top of that. Ordered 6 chicken tamales and taco dinner both were terrible. We ate the food immediately when getting home 5 minutes away and picked up the order on time. Our steak tacos were cold and tasted old or reheated. Tortillas were hard and cracked in half. Tamales tasted old also. We threw away all 6 of them. The chicken was dark and hard we could not even cut through it after soaking them in salsa verde at home did not even save them. They were disgusting. I've ordered here before and this was the worst time. The taco dinner was also supposed to have 2 steak tacos and 1 chicken but they were all steak. Not sure if they're out of chicken and that's why our tamale chicken was so hard and old? Great food! Everything was packaged well including our drinks. Was pretty fast as well from the time we ordered to when it was delivered was like 25 minutes. I had a chorizo burrito and was just toooooo goooddd. My wife had the quesadilla dinner and loved it. The tortillas were freshly made which was 10/10 for us. The salsas were spicy and delicious! Food is not that great. The smell and the quality are not good.Also, I don't think it's fresh at all.

Went on my break and was craving gorditas. One with cactus stewed and refried beans and one with beans alone. Very disappointing! The cactus stewed one barely had any beans and we're dry. The wrap of the Gordita alone was dry had to add moisture and flavor by putting the whole salsa on it to eat it and to much onions were added. Someone gave me one of their menus and wanted to go here to try it out. Being down the street today, had to stop in and try it out. Walked in knowing that I was going to have the gordita dinner. Placed my order and tried to find a table that was clean. The lady who took my order came out and cleaned the tables. She also brought out some salsa and chips. And after a few minutes my food was brought out to the table. The salsa that was brought out with the chips was extremely bland and pretty much tasted only like tomatoes. The two gorditas were very hot and stuffed to the max with the meat and other toppings. They were very tasty and tender. Another I like is the container of carrots and peppers on each table, this is rare sight these days. The waitress stopped by a couple of times to check on me and when I was done eating, she cleared the empty plates right away. The only things that I have to harp on. One, they only sell soda in cans and they sell for a dollar each. So quenching a thirst gets costly. Second, at first I did not notice a public restroom here. But one of the other customers asked about it and he was told in the back. Getting to the restroom here is a journey, you walk past the counter, through the cooking area, and then into the prep/dish washing area. Where you find a tiny door and that's the restroom. It was very hot inside, the restroom was out of service and the service was very, very slow. I can understand they were busy but this was ridiculous. Huge menu! I cant honestly say any of the food is amazing. But i will say that none of it is bad! I've had probably 30% of the menu and can say i enjoyed all of it! I frequented this establishment often, however, last night, I placed an order on Door Dash and had my boyfriend stop and pick it up on his way home. When he arrived, told them the name, he was immediately told by the woman working the counter "we have no order for you". My bf called me and asked me to send him pics of the receipt, which I did. They then all of a sudden had my order. When I called to complain, the woman told me the manager wasn't there, then all of a sudden he was. I wonder if this happened because my bf is black, and they thought he was stealing orders? Per the manager, they have people come in and claim orders that are not theirs he then proceeded to tell me that ALL Door Dash orders are required to show their phone-that's a straight up lie, because never once have I been required to show my phone in the past.
