Slow as molasses for mediocre food. 1 of the waitresses we had was zoned out like she was on drugs and can't function. A group of us from work went, we sat there a good 30 minutes waiting for our food that arrived incorrect! I came for lunch through the week, so it wasn't busy at all, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Service was also excellent! The pork chops were very tender. The chopped steak with gravy was also really good. Mac and cheese, turnip greens, mashed potatoes, all were good and tasted home made. Before Betty's moved location food and service was good but since they've opened in new space it's gone downhill. The people are friendly but the food is messed up...orders wrong, cold food that takes forever to get (like they warmed it up in a microwave and grew impatient). We used to eat here regularly when the kitchen was functional, but no more. This place has problems and poor ole Betty ain't got a clue. read more

So glad they are back and open. One of the few meat and 3's left. They have a nice selection of daily specials and an extensive menu. Haven't had breakfast here at the new location but used to love it a lot. I reserved 1 star for the following: the biscuits are canned and not homemade and the food was only lukewarm when it came it, it was really good but needed to be hot. It's not like the good ol' days at Betty's and the food for the last two visits are not like any home cooking we have around here. I understand they're dealing with long time workers that are dealing with illness....but two times in the last two months for breakfast....no wonder there's no one in the restaurant early in the morning. Service was good and the ambiance is lacking because part of the fun with Betty's for breakfast were the same crowds that came in that gave the place it's own identity. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it didn't work out. The environment is fine and the waitresses seemed lovely BUT the food took way too long to come out......and this was breakfast! My scrabbled eggs were not cooked all the way....I asked for crispy bacon and half of it was soggy.....my husband's tomato's tasted like fish and lastly his western omelette was super greasy. LOVE THEIR BISCUITS! They're so soft, buttery and warm! I like coming here for breakfast once in a while, the prices are great and portions are too. The only thing I don't like is their coffee- it's not strong at all, but I always get my own before coming. Other than that, the staff is very friendly and recently PAULA was my server and I loved her! She was very friendly, accommodating, and very helpful when I asked her for recommendations. As of 8/30 the health score is 86, violations include proper temp storage of food. Also, absolutely no social distancing. Tables close, employees walking around with their masks pulled down, not worn properly or wearing no mask at all. I also saw a female cook using her bare hands to put food onto a plate. It's a no for me. Went on Saturday and had the catfish and it was cool but pricey for 1 pc. Initially went for veggies but they assured me they were great and they only do veggies Sun thru Fri. So boom we go back today for the soul food. I get the so called center cut pork chops and 2 sides. Definitely not center cut...cooked real quick and full of fat and batter. My daughter had roast beef over rice and it was bland and so were her veggies. The server Sat and the lady with the reddish hair are amazing but the older pink hair lady today...yeah naw. I love the food but I just wish I could get bigger portions for the price I pay. My husband got the big slammer for $9.20 + 4 piece french toast for an additional $5.35... I got a fried chicken biscuit for 4.75, which the fried chicken was a little too hard for my liking. hash browns are 2.15 + .59 extra for Onion , .59 extra for Tomatoe and .69 for bell pepper. A 2 piece of turkey sausage for $3.20 , add it up its $26.52 PLUS two additional charges for sales tax $1.86 andddd a service charge of 4.0% of $1.06 ai the total was damn near $30. Ever heard the saying repeating the same thing and expecting different results? Yeah we are here again. 1 hour since order. The waitress has at least given us a biscuit saying "its gonna be a minute". This was 45 minutes ago, so I can assume timekeeping is not something that they teach in school anymore. There are 15 children screaming and complaining throughout the cafe and if they start to riot we might be in trouble. We have counted more tables walking out of here we have started checking our phones to make sure there is not an alert or a flash party going on. The hunger pains have started and I honestly think my stomach has started to consume itself. They have 6 cooks back there and with the amount of food leaving the kitchen I have no clue what they are doing. As a navy vet that was stationed on a sub, we ad a kitchen that would cook to order omelettes for 100 sailors. All of which had to be done in 10 minutes or less per order. This food is good it just should not take an hour and 15 minutes to cook. My food has finally arrived. The omelet is nice. But seriously for that long it should be something tantamount to the culinary Mona Lisa. The corn beef hash I ordered can only be described as anemic. My daughter's food is good but she is afraid that if she makes them fix it, it will most likely take 20 minutes. On family has started to lull an angry toddler with "Let it Go" Over and over again. It's pacifying the little demon but the adults are starting to look a little like they are have strokes after the eighth repeat. Damn I hate that song now. All in all bad experience. With proper management the kitchen could be more efficient and better to accommodate the service of more2 people at a time. read more
