Located @ 1377 Old McDonough Hwy in Conyers, Ga As you enter they have a Poker Game Room on your right. The restaurant is located in the back. I joined a friend for dinner and I chose the bang-bang shrimp for an appetizer and the garlic Parmesan wings with onion rings for my entree. The onion rings are a $3 up charge. If you order the Rasta Pasta and get salmon it's a $9 up charge. Our server delivered great customer service throughout our dining experience but I didn't like that they automatically charge you 18% gratuity without properly communicating it. Then, I paid an extra tip without realizing the gratuity was already included. This was my 1st time dining here and I didn't know that, neither is it posted anywhere and our waitress didn't mention it either. I realized it when I asked for a printed receipt. It was only two people in my party so I didn't understand why the 18% gratuity was automatically charged. I didn't appreciate the deception. TIP: Please be aware of exactly what you're paying for and ask for a printed receipt before you pay your bill. Went here for brunch today, 11-9, with my husband. This is our 2nd visit (the 1st one, we didn't stay b/c of unforeseen circumstances). When we entered, there was no one at the hostess desk, so my husband went to find someone, and they soon arrived right after. I will say I was in disbelief at her attire. She had on what looked like (at first glimpse) pajamas! But even if it actually wasn't, why would you wear that as a hostess at a restaurant, and not only that, why would your manager allow you to wear it? Anyway, we were seated and our waitress, Amber was very pleasant! I ordered the Spanish Omelet, and my husband got the breakfast burger w/ a side of potatoes and grits. My omelet was good, needed a little more seasoning but it was edible. My husband said that his burger was good, he would get it again, but the grits needed more work. He actually didn't take them w/him and he had a lot left over before he got full. Just be warned that a service fee is auto added to your check. Also, you don't get a paper check (tab), you have to see you check on their device. So, if you don't ask to see your total, you won't know until you actually get the printed receipt. I dropped in early on a Friday night for happy hour after eyeing this place for weeks. Thankfully it wasn't crowded but I opted to sit at the bar. The menu had quite a few things that sounded interesting but I opted for the salmon bites, onion rings and a rum punch since all were discounted for happy hour. The rum bunch was good, the onion rings were too but the salmon bites were the highlight. They were nice and crispy on the outside but hearty and juicy on the inside. The only thing in my opinion that would have made it better were if the batter had a little salt (or sugar) to really make it pop. It's a really cute place. We've been patiently awaiting the opening of Something Special Bar & Lounge here in Conyers and yesterday we had the opportunity to experience our new local Bar & Lounge. As with every opening of a restaurant the staff were very friendly and welcoming. For those adulting, you'll love the ambiance and feel of the dining and socializing spaces. On to the food choices, the menu isn't vast but the choices are very good. I tried the pecan roasted wings and the Mrs's had the chicken (Substituted for the shrimp) Alfredo and neither dish disappointed us. OoOh I almost forgot about the specialty drink menu...they have hella drink choices. Overall we enjoyed ourselves locally and definitely looking forward to spending more time meeting our neighbors...Thank you Something Special for giving us a "neighborhood spot" we feel good visiting. read more

Came for a Mother's Day dinner at 3:45 PM. Sign at door read "2-hr limit on tables" which fit perfectly into our plans. Waited about 3 mins to be seated, then saw that the bar was empty. We moved to the bar to have a better view of the playoff game. MISTAKE!! Bartender was a female who proceeded to tell us all of the things we could NOT have. We couldn't have lemon for our water and couldn't order food until 4:30 because the kitchen was switching over to dinner. People seated in tables around us were ordering food but we thought it was select appetizers that she told us were available. Our server was eating food and appeared to keep going back into the kitchen. Finally at 4:40, we asked if we could go ahead and order. She said yes. We gave her our order then about 5-mins later a male came out to verify our order. Meanwhile the ppl at other tables were getting their food...not the special appetizers but food that she told us we had to wait to order. None of our food came out at the same time. My salmon pieces, I mean nuggets ($18) came out first without utensils. I had to catch the eye of a manager to ask for a fork. Then my collards came out and they were lukewarm. My date had not received any of his food yet, then he got his side of greens and about 3-4 mins later received his curry shrimp and rice which was the tastiest item provided. This was my first visit here and likely my last. The original bartender never introduced herself and did not provide us with any updates about our meal, delay in services or that she was NOTcoming back. Services was horrible. read more

Disappointed because the chicken was under seasoned and had been cooked in old grease. Was asked if we needed to go containers.. of course not. If having a high volume of fried foods the grease need to be changed or cleaned. That would definitely help. I felt the young lady (server) was new . I know we got there at 11 when they just opened the staff should get there prior to get the restaurant ready for opening so the tables can get wiped down instead of waiting for the guest to sit then you spread the table and wipe them while I was sitting. The service was extremely slow. I counted 12 people in the restaurant. Asking for a refill on a soda took 30 minutes. Our waiter was not attentive at all. On social media the restaurant says that they offer hookah only to find out it can only be outside. Brunch is over at 3 but because they have to switch menus you can't get the dinner items until almost 5. The best part of my visit was the beignets. Best I ever had. Also the music was extremely LOUD! We complained about it the entire time and they seemed to not want to do anything about it. I hope to revisit and have a better experience. It's about presentation. It was not worth posting on my social media because of how plain and boring the drinks looked. Nonetheless, they tasted delicious but.. Seriously, the bartender should be retrained a-little on that. My partner and i both ordered fried chicken with our meals and it was incredibly under-seasoned. The same with the catfish and grits... the batter , it was just all under-seasoned and hard to finish. We took our food home and eventually threw it all away. The only reason I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars is because of the food. I had the burger and fries, which was decent. The customer service was horrible. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30. After 30 minutes, we were still waiting for a server to take our order. A lady, who I assume was the owner, came near our table and when I grabbed her attention to let her know that we haven't been helped yet, she responded with a sarcastic tone stating that she would get someone to help us. After the manager finally came to get our order, my partner waited another 30 minutes to get his sprite. I ordered a martini that did not come out until 20 minutes AFTER we ate our food.
