#2 Roast Beef & Swiss Sub - Sub Provolone and Canollis
    Tim L.

I've been coming to Antonelli's for a couple decades now and my father has been going for many more before me. He knew and would chat with Andy before he passed away. Antonelli's has remained the gold-standard Italian-style sub sandwich for as long as I can remember, from grabbing them on the way to the beach as a child to popping in to grab one while I'm in town as an adult. The ingredients are always fresh and consistent and the staff are always super friendly and helpful. It can get busy around lunch time, so it never hurts to order ahead. If you've never been, make the trip, you won't regret it!

This place was awesome! It really felt authentic, like a hole in the wall mom and pop local deli. The staff were so friendly and nice. They even let us stay past their official closing time to finish our meal. They gave us great recommendations from the menu. The sandwich was classic, felt really fresh and had good, clean ingredients. Huge amount of food for your money, you can order a foot long and it is easily a huge meal (each) for 2 people to share.

Every time I go there, I'm never disappointed with the taste of the food. The service is excellent, and the people are friendly and the area for dining is really reasonably sized excellent place to go.

Def family oriented business you feel the love as you walk in! Big Menu! Lots of options they even have breakfast! It was hard to choose one but I was in the mood for comfort and went with a hot one - the meatball sub, the man went with a cold Meaty one #1 which was packed with greatness! Meatballs were good size and sauce was nice and bold full of flavor. Bread is huge and soft, all fresh quality ingredients used for sure. Drink options were good because they had bottled drinks and fountain drinks available, lots of seating inside and a few big tables outside.

We are getting both pastrami sandwiches today. They come with sauerkraut but we're getting it on the side. The service is outstanding in about 10 minutes. The ambulance in here is very nice.

The best sandwich I've ever had! I got the pastrami and the pastreuben and both were amazingly juicy and delicious! The pastrami is my favorite though because it has more vegetables and the fluffy bread makes it a really well balanced sandwich that I can eat all of. The pastreuben was a lot heavier and I wasn't able to eat the whole thing, but it is still good I would just split it with someone. There's plenty of parking and outdoor seating which is nice. I'll be back again for the pastrami sandwich!

Antonelli's Deli is a hidden gem! I stopped in for a quick bite and was blown away. Their Chicken Caesar Salad was crisp, fresh, and perfectly dressed--simple but done right. The real star, though, was the pepper steak sandwich on sourdough. The steak was tender, full of flavor, and had just the right kick of pepper. The sourdough was warm, toasted, adding the perfect texture and tang. Tip for thought: Lunch time gets packed so you may have to park on the street Great service, friendly staff, and great portions--definitely coming back!

I was so excited to try this place because I've heard great things! But I think I messed up on my first experience. I ordered a pastrami sandwich because it looked delicious. I'm not a big pastrami eater, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The sandwich just felt soo fatty and oily. The pastrami also didn't have much flavor other than oil and fat. They were very generous with the pastrami that they gave though. This place is pricey for a sandwich shop too.

Get the pastrami this is valid 10/10 would recommend. And for breakfast get the egg salad sandwich. Love this place.

It's 11 AM Monday, August 6 when I called to place an order it says they're closed. Did they go out of business?

So we got back a second time and sit down to order, "Chicken and waffles please" - they are out of chicken. Oof! Strike 1. That sucks. She was disappointed but she got something else and we shrugged it off. Then about 2 weeks back we came in again... this time I asked first, "Do you have chicken for the chicken and waffles?" They are out of waffles. Oof! Strike 2! And isn't it just batter? I don't get it. We didn't stay that time because my daughter was visibly sad this time. So I think we are done trying or else this just becomes a running gag we try to get out of, like Groundhogs Day or something... Atmosphere: It's cozy inside. I love all of the details, like the wood carvings and all of the bear stuff. It's like you're in a log cabin. And I like that they have paper menus and throw them away (because plastic reusable menus are germ magnets). The newspaper-esque theme is pretty cool too. Price: It's no more expensive than say, Dennys or Ihop. Middle of the road and they have lots of options. A decent meal for two - 50$. Service: Each time we have been, the servers have been great. Nice servers and even when the guy had to tell us they were out of chicken, he was super apologetic. No complaints on the service. Overall: It's a nice place... when they have the advertised food. So I honestly don't know if we will be back or not. Maybe we will give it a shot but I don't want my daughter to be disappointed again. I get it, if it was something they only made 50 of a day, I'd understand. But... chicken and waffles? Hmmm...

There were several quirky cute diners in the area so it was tough to choose. Ultimately, Izzy's menu excited me more than the others. I love the barbecue brunch thing going on, too. Very unique and we totally would've tried some ribs had we not gone to Phil's for the first time the night before and had a ton of leftovers. We split a Country Benny and the Jalapeño scramble, which had their homemade pulled pork in it. Julie was an outstanding server. Super patient, attentive, and helpful. You can choose muffins or coffee cake (only $1 extra!) instead of toast, which I love by the way, but I really appreciated that she asked if I had tried the coffee cake because it's not what I thought it was. She explained it as more of a vanilla cupcake with nuts and white icing? Which is kinda random that they call it coffee cake, but it made us opt for the zucchini muffin which was definitely the right choice. Moist, warm, and delicious to nibble on while we waited for the rest of our meal. She also asked if we needed anything else, like salsa, when our entrees came. Which, I usually alwayyys have to request but she was 2 steps ahead of us. The Bloody Mary was tasty and just strong enough to start our afternoon. I'm a huge sucka for biscuits & gravy and theirs really hit the spot. The sausage patty was so good and definitely homemade. Perfectly poached eggs harmoniously smothered in yummy gravy and fluffy biscuits. Crispy hashbrowns, great country potatoes. The scramble was good, too. Pulled pork had a nice smoky flavor and I've never seen nor had it with eggs before which is awesome. The portions were just right. Not huge, but we got full and everything tasted great so what more can you ask for? The deep fried pie! Duh. Super bummed we didn't take a peach one home...

The place feels lively in a calm and familiar way that teenagers would appreciate a lot because it has that friendly neighborhood energy that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. I noticed right away that there were a lot of teenagers eating there, talking with each other, and enjoying their time without feeling watched or rushed. Seeing that made me realize how naturally this cafe fits into the kind of environment teenagers love, somewhere they can relax, laugh, and feel like they belong. The food at Bonnys Cafe surprised me in the best way. It tasted exactly like the kind of comforting breakfast you hope for when you walk into a classic cafe, and it made the whole experience feel even more inviting. Even though the dishes are simple, they have that homemade flavor that teenagers would enjoy because it feels real and not overly fancy. The atmosphere inside is bright and open, and the staff treat everyone with the same kindness, which makes it easy for teenagers to feel comfortable being themselves there. As I walked around and looked at the different tables, I did not realize how much there was to appreciate about the place until I took a moment to really take it in. It is the kind of cafe where you can sit for a while without feeling like you need to hurry up and leave. I really appreciated how easy it was to enjoy my time there without any pressure. I never doubted that the experience was going to turn out the way I hoped it would because everything about the cafe, from the food to the atmosphere, felt genuine and welcoming. I only visited Bonnys Cafe one time in my life before making this review, but it left a strong impression on me. It was one of the most comfortable and inviting cafes I have been to in a long time, and I would highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a place to eat good food, hang out with friends, and feel relaxed. I lived for 24 years. I am not physically or mentally 24 years old. In the summertime in the year 2024, I learned that I am still physically and mentally 18 years old. I also learned in the summer that year that my prefrontal cortex is way more developed than average 25 year olds prefrontal cortex in the human brain.
